What is CMRUAT?

CMR University, Karnataka conducts CMR University Admission Test (CMRUAT) entrance examination every year. It is a national level entrance examination conducted for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate courses (BTech, MBA and Law).

The registration process for CMRUAT 2020 is ongoing and all candidates who are eligible for admission can apply for the entrance test. Application forms of eligible will be accepted by the CMR University for the CMRUAT 2020 admission test. Therefore, it is advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the CMRUAT 2020 entrance examination.

Aspirants seeking admission to MBA need to appear for CMRUAT if they have not appeared for any of the following National Level Management Entrance Tests:

CMRUAT Eligibility Criteria 2020 for MBA

Candidates willing to appear for CMRUAT must ensure that before applying, they check the eligibility criteria of the exam. 

  • Education for MBA: The candidates must have passed any Bachelors Degree or have passed equivalent from a recognised university with a minimum of 45% marks in all subjects taken together and 40% marks for SC/ST/PH category

  • Age Limit: This is no upper age limit to apply for CMRUAT entrance examination

  • Nationality and Domicile: All the candidates from Karnataka, non-Karnataka, NRI and Foreign students are eligible to apply for the CMRUAT 2020 entrance examination

CMRUAT 2020 Admission Process

Step 1: Fill in the Application form

Candidates willing to appear for CMRUAT need to fill the application form and submit the same before the deadline. Candidates must check the eligibility before filling the application form. The application fee is Rs 750 which is payable online. 

Step 2: Download CMRUAT Admit Card

Candidates who register successfully for the exam will get access to admit cards. The admit cards will be made available online and candidates can download the same from the University’s official website. Carrying the admit card to the exam hall is mandatory. 

Step 3: Appear for CMRUAT

Candidates who receive admit cards will be eligible to appear for CMRUAT. The allotment of test city, centre details and date of test is notified to the candidate by email & through SMS. The exam is conducted twice a year, once in June and next in July. 

Step 4: Check CMRUAT Result

Candidates who appear for CMRUAT can expect the result within a month from the date of examination. The authorities will release the result online, and test-takers can check the same in the University’s website. 

Step 5: Counselling

After declaration of results, The University will conduct the counselling round. It must be noted that candidates are required to be present in person for the counselling round along with the required documents.

  • For admission to BTech through CET, candidates are offered a choice of colleges/universities at the time of CET counselling – here candidates can choose CMRU
  • For admission to BTech through COMEDK, candidates are offered a choice of colleges/universities at the time of COMEDK counselling – here candidates can choose CMRU

CMRUAT 2020 Exam Centres

CMRUAT is conducted at various exam centres throughout India. Candidates must make sure that they reach the exam centre at the reporting time (mentioned on the admit card). Candidates who reach late will not be allowed to appear for the exam.  Outstation candidates are advised to check the exam centre a day before the day of exam to avoid any last minute hassle. It must be noted that carrying calculators, Docu pen, slide rules, Log Tables, electronic watches, bits of paper, mobile or any other device to the exam centre is not allowed.
