The eligibility criteria for the M.Sc programme offered by the Central University of Himachal Pradesh include having a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in a Bachelor's/Undergraduate degree in a non-medical/engineering/technology stream from a recognised university. Additionally, candidates must have passed BCA/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or an equivalent degree with at least 50% marks, or a Bachelor's Degree with Mathematics at the 10+2 level or at the graduation level with at least 50% marks. Candidates admitted with a PGDCA Diploma do not need to undertake additional bridge courses. The fee for the M.Sc programme is Rs 4000/- per semester from the students admitted to M.Sc/MBA/MBA (TT)/MSW/MSc/BSc Hons.

As per Central University of Himachal Pradesh cutoff 2023,   closing score of round 1  for B.A. (Hons.) in Sanskrit is 62, for B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics is 360.53, which is the highest score of all the specialisations and for Shastri it is 32 for the General category students belonging to All India Quota.
