Bahra University review for BCA students.
Placements: Around 71% of students got placed from our college. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. The top recruitment companies are Microsoft, Infosys, and Sleepwell. Around 30% of students secured internships. Front-end developer and back-end developer are major roles offered.
Infrastructure: Facilities like well-managed classrooms and labs for students with 4 types of windows like Linux, Microsoft, and others are provided. Hostel facilities are well-managed. Food is well prepared. Games are playable inside the auditorium. College provides a healthy food cafeteria.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful to students in any criteria they teach in a well-managed way. Course curriculum is relevant it makes the student industry-ready for the future. Semester exams are well-managed and a little bit tough to solve. At least we have to score above 40% to pass.
Other: I want to learn programming and the best thing about this is it gives fun activities to do and to study more programming languages. Events, fest, and other extracurricular activities are well-managed and fully funable.

My experience at Bahra.
Placements: Bahra University is located in Himachal Pradesh and is well-known for its emphasis on academic excellence and employment readiness. This university has its independent training and placement cell that works between student academic arena and industry towards making sure they are ready to go into the competitive world. Annually, students get an opportunity to meet the companies that recruit for placements from different sectors like IT, engineering, management, healthcare, and hospitality. There are many designing companies such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and Tech Mahindra.
Infrastructure: Bahra University offers state-of-the-art infrastructures that render its campuses conducive to students' learning. This campus has modern classrooms equipped with advanced audio-visual aids, digitized libraries housing numerous titles and other resources, and sophisticated laboratories for hands-on learning across various sectors. This university provides its students with high-speed internet connectivity and bullet-proof IT infrastructure to facilitate academic and research endeavors. Further provisions include spacious hostels, a well-established cafeteria, medical services, and recreation areas.
Faculty: Bahra University has a team of very well-qualified and experienced professors, associate professors, and industry experts, whose focus is on quality education. It is approachable faculty members, which provides students with time for personal attention and carry on research and development to keep up with the newest trends. Bahra University organizes examinations in a well-structured way through mid-semester tests, assignments, and end-term examinations. So, the evaluation system follows not only the theoretical approach but also practical application. Regular feedback is provided to students so that their performance can be improved and match learning.
Other: Bahra University creates a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and diploma programs in many fields such as Engineering, Management, Computer Applications, Arts, and Commerce. Very much dissatisfied. Please do a good research before choosing a college.
Placements: At our university, the highest salary package offered was 14 LPA, the average salary package offered was 7 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3.2 LPA. Majority of the recruiting companies are startups and mid-range companies. Internships are not offered, instead, they offer courses to purchase. The top roles available include Web Development—Backend, Frontend, and Full Stack.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average. In the classrooms, some seats are broken, and the Wi-Fi speed is poor. In the labs, computers often hang, and there are frequent issues, such as slow internet or malfunctioning systems. For the sports department, there is only one ground where events are held. Mess food is average—sometimes good, sometimes bad. Medical facilities are available, including a university ambulance. Hostel rooms are average, with 3-4 students sharing a room.
Faculty: Majority of faculty members simply deliver lectures without ensuring that students understand the topics. They also often fail to complete the syllabus. However, some teachers focus on building skills among students. Course curriculum is average. In the B.Tech 3rd year, we are still studying Mathematics, and some management subjects seem unnecessary. This might be because the college lacks teachers to teach more advanced subjects. Semester exams are easy.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in teaching. Fests and events are very common at this university, and events happen regularly in daily life.

Really good nature and climate the whole year.
Placements: The student with a CGPA above 6 is able to sit in placements. The highest package was 14 Lacs per annum, the lowest is 2 Lacs per annum, and the average package is of 3 Lacs per annum The top recruiting companies that come in our university are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, etc. 5 to 10 percent of students got internship in our university.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is quite good; the labs are big and well managed. Also, the classes are good for study and the Wi-Fi is not that good because of the low speed of internet and the library is open 24/7, which is a very good thing; students can study in the library anytime. The hostel food is bad because the taste is not good and the quality is also not very good. Medical facilities are available but not good. No sports or games are there in our university.
Faculty: The teachers are not knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very bad some teachers are good but most of the teachers are not qualified and helpful. The course curriculum is also not relevant and doesn't make students industry-ready. The semester exams are not very difficult; average difficulty is there in exams, and the percentage for passing the exams is 33 percent.
Other: In our batch, a total number of 70 students are there, in which some are leet students and some of the students leave the college. The passing-out batch has only 20 to 30 students. I wish the improvement in the faculty is important and also the new technology information in our syllabus is also added. The university organizes a fest every year in the month of October and various other events take place, like technical events, quiz competitions, coding challenges, etc. There are various scholarships at our university, like category scholarships, single parents scholarship or many others.

In this, I have given a brief review of Bahra University. By reading this, one can easily understand
Placements: The students who work hard and focus on skills get their placements. In my understanding, 50-60% of students get their placements. The highest package was 24 Lacs and the lowest was 3.2 Lacs. The average package is 7.5 Lacs. Top recruiting companies are Paytm, Mahindra, etc. Almost 20-30% of students get internships in the 3rd year and almost 60% of students get placements in the 4th year. Roles offered are Front-end Developer, Back-end Developer, Full-stack Developer, App Developer, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi speed is very slow. In computer labs, computers hang too much, and some of them are not working. Keyboards are of low quality. Physics labs and Chemistry labs are good. The library is also good, and almost all required books are present there. Hostel facilities are average. Medical facilities are present. Food in the mess is sometimes good and sometimes bad. There is a ground to play games in front of the hostels. That is the only ground, which is a negative point. Canteens are present, in which food is good.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, and some are not. Some teachers are currently doing their studies. Some have also completed their Ph.D. Teaching quality is not good; they mainly focus on attendance taking and wasting time. The course curriculum is very poor. In my current semester, there are 7 subjects, in which only 2 subjects are useful. There is no sense in adding those kinds of subjects in the 3rd year of B.Tech. Also, Maths is present. Those waste subjects do not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are easy, and the majority of students pass the exams (70-80%).
Other: I chose this because I want to get into the teaching field. I like teaching and exploring new things. The best thing about my course is that it contains a lot of content to explore. An individual should have an interest in those topics. The things that can be better are, first of all, removing all the unnecessary subjects and removing the teachers who lack in their teaching. Events happen regularly, fests are held yearly, and the campus crowd is huge. Job opportunities are offered from time to time in seminars and class group clubs. Clubs are created, such as the technical club, management club, sports club, etc.

All about Bahra University.
Placements: The highest package is like 21 LPA but the average package is too bad. In this year, 2024, no one got any type of placement. Though the college authority claims that the placement is too good here, it's completely wrong. Companies like TCS, and Wipro don't come here for placement. Some startups came here but didn't take any students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay, not too good. Wi-Fi of the hostel and university both don't work rightly. Also, the computers from the computer lab don't work, they arrange them for show. Classrooms are too small for 80 students. The library is good but some of the important books are not there. If you complain to them, it's a long process to get a new book.
Faculty: The faculties are all new, they don't have experience. Many of them completed a Master's and became a faculty. Let's talk about the curriculum, they don't organize something like that, though they organize some events to show on paper, they don't give any type of prizes to students. Exams are too frequent, without completing the whole syllabus, they take exams.
Other: If you want to take admission under NEXTGEN then it's better than the university faculty. They are good.

Bahra University FAQs

Q:   Is MBA at Adesh University better than Rayat Bahra University?

A:

Determining with certainty whether an MBA from Adesh University is superior to one from Rayat Bahra University is challenging. Nonetheless, the following objective comparison of factors can assist in identifying the superior MBA programme:

Adesh University:

  1. Founded in 2012 as opposed to RBU in 2015, Adesh has been in existence longer. It might have an alumni network and more established industrial ties.
  2. Adesh offers a wider selection of MBA specialisations, including Healthcare and Retail Management. RBU provides general management services.
  3. The AICTE has approved Adesh MBA. RBU has applied; approval is still pending.

Rayat Bahra University:

  1.  As of 2022, RBU was ranked higher in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF)—76th place as opposed to Adesh's 151-200 band.
  2. RBU has a larger, more modern campus infrastructure stretched across 100 acres.
  3. RBU has many international collaborations for student exchange.

Although they are both relatively new private colleges, RBU appears to have an advantage in terms of rankings, worldwide collaborations, and infrastructure. Rankings are not the only relevant considerations; programme quality, faculty expertise, and student success are also crucial. When choosing an MBA programme, an applicant should consider the specialisations offered, the faculty profile, placement history, costs, and location.
