A:
{Source: M.Sc. students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for M.Sc. Programs at Central University of South Bihar

* Placement Cell Under Development: According to students' feedback, the placement cell is still under development, and therefore, expectations regarding placements might be low.
* Off-Campus Placements: While some students did mention getting off-campus placements, these opportunities seem to depend on individual efforts rather than being facilitated by the university's placement cell.

* Limited Corporate Interactions: As mentioned in some reviews, corporate interactions and visits to the campus for recruitment purposes appear to be minimal, contributing to the overall limited scope of on-campus placements.
* Graduates Pursue Higher Studies or Self-Employment: Given the limited employment opportunities, many graduates may opt for further education or pursue self-employment ventures.

In summary, while the Central University of South Bihar has potential, its placement cell seems to be in its early stages of development, resulting in limited placement opportunities for M.Sc. students. College is very good, and the infrastructure is excellent. The placement rate is also very high.
Placements: The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA and the lowest salary package was 5 LPA. Recruiting companies included Bajaj Finance, Mahindra, Tata, and many others. About 70% of students get placed, and they work in companies as company secretaries and legal advisors.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. A moot court hall is present with high-tech technology and a smart board. Wi-Fi facilities are available, and hostel facility is of three-star quality. Food quality is a bit better, and there is a dispensary for medical treatment.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful and well-qualified. All are professors with extensive teaching experience. They prepare students for the corporate world, as there is a culture of corporate training. Semester is not too hard, it seems manageable, and extra time is given to prepare for the end-semester exams.
Other: I am chose this course to become an advocate. This is a professional course that helps develop a person's personality. More extracurricular activities should be included to improve the courses. Campus is good, covering around 300 acres of land with all greenary environment. It has a sports complex and three hostels with a total capacity of 3,000 students.

Absolutely satisfied with our college. Good infrastructure and academics.
Placements: 3 out of 120 students this year got placed. The average package is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Bajaj Insurance, law firms, etc. The college itself doesn't provide internships in law but will give you a certificate of recommendation for any place you opt for an internship.
Infrastructure: The full campus has Wi-Fi facilities, computer labs, and other departmental labs as needed. Classrooms are neat and clean, although not all have AC. The hostel mess food is very bad, but the canteen food is somehow better.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, with all being professors or assistant professors. Faculty members are very welcoming for doubts. The curriculum includes moot courts, debates, bail competitions, etc., often organized by our department. Semester examinations are of moderate difficulty.

Good experience and learning.
Placements: Around 30% to 40% of the students can get placement on campus. There is not much help for internships. Generally, recruitment is for roles like editor, translator, etc. Companies like government agencies, a few educational institutes, and NGOs come.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and student-friendly; we can find materials like offline and online resources essential for project work and research papers. There are also labs and good internet connectivity. The classrooms are nicely designed with good space. The hostel has room for laundry; you need to pay a bit extra, but the mess fee is included.
Faculty: The faculty members and the curriculum are good; they are professionals and have good years of teaching experience, and at the same time, few have good industry experience. They are scholars as well. The exams are a bit difficult, but the passing rate is above 80%, and being attentive is required.

Central University of South Bihar - my dream college.
Placements: Teaching quality is outstanding at this campus. However, placement opportunities at the Central University of South Bihar are limited to certain students. The university has an internship and placement cell that manages these opportunities. Various MNCs and firms are involved in the placement process.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure related to courses and the hostel is fabulous and outstanding. The university offers only three undergraduate courses: B.A. LL.B. Honors, B.A. B.Ed., and Agriculture Honors. The faculty for each course is excellent and dedicated to the development of students. The hostel infrastructure is amazing, providing every facility from top to bottom.
Faculty: The faculty is exceptional. Exams are conducted based on the curriculum, similar to Magadh University in Bihar, which is ranked as the top university in the state. The university has recently received a NAAC A+ grade. The faculty members are primarily from prestigious institutions like JNU, BHU, and Allahabad University.
Other: I am sharing this review because I believe that earning money is not the ultimate goal; pursuing a career aligned with one’s aspirations is more important.

CUSB present a mixed bag of learning.
Placements: Within a year, everyone is either recruited by the government or pursues an M.Sc. from a good institute. A few students got internships in the MTTS and IASC-INSA-NASI summer research fellowship programmes. As of now, a very small percentage of students get internships out of the university, while most of the students get internships on campus or nearby.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are good. There is a need to look after mess food. But overall, it is good. The infrastructure for sports is well developed, as there is a stadium, i.e., Milkha Singh Stadium for the supporters. There is a Madhuvan canteen for the student's food.
Faculty: The examination is quite tough, according to NEP 2020 guidelines. This is also a reason for well-trained teachers with good scientific knowledge. The departments have their own ways to lead the course for the holistic development of learners. It leads the teaching-learning process to high standards.
Other: The annual establishment fest and one Edu-Fest are there.

Review of CUSB - Central University of South Bihar.
Placements: The general focus of the college is not on getting the students a place but to create good academicians and maybe to help in higher studies because of which our placement is around 20% of the students get placed mostly in teaching and content writing kind of thing in education institutes and a few private companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not bad; it is very friendly and provides a good and spacious environment in both the hostel and course area. We do have a library and a small lab. We have internet access, but it is limited to the course area, and the food in the mess is average but provides both veg and non-veg meals.
Faculty: The faculty members are good in our department; they help us understand the concept and guide us for our future endeavors. They are highly qualified and approachable. The course curriculum is also nice, and it helps in achieving and building a strong foundation for further studies. The exams are at a mediocre level.

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's what you need to know:

Positive Aspects:

* Good Infrastructure: CUSB has modern classrooms equipped with audio-visual materials, a well-stocked library, and high-speed internet access.
* Well-Qualified Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable, helpful, and highly qualified, providing a good learning experience.
* Holistic Development: The course focuses on holistic development, offering a wide range of subjects and helping students develop their skills and knowledge.
* Value for Money: Being a centrally-funded institution, the fees are reasonable compared to other institutions offering similar programs.
* Campus Life: The campus has plenty of open spaces, playgrounds, and recreational facilities, making it a pleasant environment for students.

Challenges:

* Placement Record: While some students have reported getting placements, the overall placement rate is relatively low (around 10%). Many students rely on self-efforts to secure employment.
* Limited Internship Opportunities: Although internships are mandatory, many students report that these opportunities are limited and unpaid.
* Teaching Profession-Oriented: The course is primarily geared towards producing teachers, which might limit career prospects outside of the education sector.
* Food Quality: Student reviews suggest that the food quality in the hostel is average, leaving room for improvement.

Conclusion:
While CUSB offers several strengths, including good infrastructure and faculty, the placement record and limited internship opportunities might be concerns for prospective students. Additionally, the course being heavily focused on producing teachers might limit career options beyond the education sector. Considering these factors, whether the programme is "worth the investment" ultimately depends on individual goals and priorities. If you're willing to put in extra effort to secure employment and adapt to the teaching profession-oriented focus, CUSB could be a suitable choice.
