Q:   Which has better placement at DAV University, B.Tech in CSE or B.Tech in ECE?

A:

The placement prospects for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) versus B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) can depend on various factors, including industry demand, specific skills offered by each program, and individual student preferences.

However, I can provide some general insights:

  1. B.Tech in CSE:

    • Computer Science and Engineering programs often have high demand in the job market due to the increasing reliance on technology.
    • Graduates in CSE are typically sought after by a wide range of industries, including IT companies, software development firms, startups, and more.
    • Job roles may include software development, programming, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and other technology-related fields.
  2. B.Tech in ECE:

    • Electronics and Communication Engineering graduates are often in demand in sectors such as telecommunications, electronics, and embedded systems.
    • Career opportunities for ECE graduates can include roles in telecommunications, semiconductor industries, electronics manufacturing, and research and development.

To make an informed decision, you may consider the following:

  • Review the curriculum of each programme to understand the specific skills and knowledge offered.
  • Explore the placement records and statistics provided by the university.
  • Consider your personal interests and career goals.

Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at DAV University worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

B.E./B.Tech at DAV University: Worth the Investment?

Based on the reviews from students and alumni, here are some key points to consider:

* Placement Rate: About 30-40% of students get placements, with the highest package offered at 4 LPA (Indian Rupees) and the average package at 2 LPA.
* Companies Visiting: Local and national companies like Nivera, Maruti Suzuki, Nexon, Airtel, LG, Patanjali, and Samsung visit the campus for recruitments.
* Internship Opportunities: Around 10-20% of students get internships, with opportunities to work with companies like Advanced Solutions.
* Facilities: The university has good infrastructure, including Wi-Fi-enabled campuses, libraries, laboratories, and recreational spaces.
* Teaching Quality: Faculty members are highly qualified, with most holding PhDs and having teaching experience of 10-12 years. They use innovative teaching methods and provide guidance to students.
* Student Life: The campus offers a vibrant student life, with regular events, fests, and athletic meets organized throughout the year.
* Scholarships: Meritorious students receive scholarships to pursue their education.
* Limitations: Placements are limited for B.Tech students, with few core companies visiting the campus. Salary packages may not be high due to lack of work experience.

Considering these factors, whether or not B.E./B.Tech at DAV University is worth the investment depends on individual circumstances. For students looking for a relatively affordable and decent education, with potential placement opportunities, DAV University might be a viable option. However, students seeking higher salary packages or more prominent job prospects might want to explore other options.

Final Verdict: While DAV University has its strengths and weaknesses, it can be considered a good option for those interested in pursuing engineering degrees. With its affordable fees, decent placement rates, and good faculty, it provides a solid foundation for future careers. However, students must weigh the pros and cons carefully before making an informed decision.

Placements: I am studying in electronics and communication engineering branch. As per my senior, about 25% of the students got placed in ECE branch. The highest salary package offered is 2.8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 1.2 LPA. Companies like Airtel, Extramarks, Wipro and many local companies visit our college for placements. Infrastructure: The college is surrounded by plants, so it is beautiful. The infrastructure of our college is built in such a way that you will enjoy all day on the campus. The college provides canteens and playgrounds for students. The college also provides facilities like Wi-Fi, digital classrooms and library. The hostel facilities are very good, and they provide you with good quality of food items. The college provides many sports equipment like badminton.

The best thing about our course is that you achieve your goals in every studying field. The college conducts many festivals and events like dance competition, kho-kho tournament and fest. My experience in DAV University .
Placements: There are a lot of good companies, and lots of students are placed from here with 4-5 lakhs average package per annum. The syllabus of the course is mighty good, and they focus on the practical knowledge more than theory knowledge. 60–70% of students are placed.
Infrastructure: I don't use hostel facilities, but my friends told me about the food that the food is not much good, not bad. Here, Wi-Fi is available for all students. All classrooms have AC facilities. There are lifts also available for ease of students. There is a big library for students, and there is also a seating arrangement for self-study.
Faculty: I like the faculty of this university; all are very familiar in nature if you have any queries regarding courses. Career, they always guide you. From my perspective, exams are not tough; they are moderate. Here the passing mark is 40% in each subject. And not more than five subjects they teach us per semester.

It is a beautiful college with good facilities and a high level of teaching.
Placements: As our college was established 4 years back, the placement rate is very low. About 30% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 3.2 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 1.8 LPA. Companies which visited our college for placements are LG, Patanjali, Extramarks and Samsung. Only 10% of the students get internships in companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very beautiful. Our college provides a library, classrooms, labs and a huge playground. Facilities provided in the girl's hostel are very good compared to the boy's hostel. You will get only vegetarian food items in the hostel. Our college is known for games and sports, so it provides all the necessary kits.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful and well knowledgeable. They always help us. Their teaching quality is in such a way if you attend all classes, then you will get good marks in the examination. All courses have their benefits, and electronics and communication engineering course build the students to get a job in the core industry.
Other: I chose this course because my brother is also from the same background. The best thing about this course is you will get a job in core companies. Our college organises many events like dance competition, fest, sports tournament in every 3 months and social activities like paper drive, etc.

Review of DAV University.
Placements: Around 70% of the students are already placed, and the remaining will be placed soon. The highest salary package offered in this session is 15 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Advance Solutions, Trantor, Zapbuild,75 Ways Technologies, Appknit, Value Creative and many more. Roles offered were as software developer, software engineer and business development profile. The avarage salary package offered in our branch is 6 LPA. Around 50% of the students got an internship in Advanced Solution for first six months as an intern later on full time.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi services are available 24x7. The college has good infrastructure throughout the university, having a green environment, and sports are available for the student to remain active. The library has all books which may help a student to enhance their knowledge.
Faculty: Teachers are very cooperative and are always ready to guide students. Some Teachers are available 24x7. It is a very good opportunity for a student to get quality knowledge and the main focus is self-study. Students need to put more efforts to get ready for industry. Data structures and algorithms keep students mind and thinking ability stronger so, it contributes a lot overall.
Other: Computers are now needed by everyone. You have to be technically strong to get ready for this world. Being a girl, it sometimes helped me to keep my work in the safe zone. Some interview preparation sessions should be there, which may help a student to boost their confidence. Self-study is necessary without it, you may get stuck somewhere.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: There are 30% of students placed. And the highest package is 24 lacs per annum and the lowest package is 6 to 10 lacs per annum. Top companies are Microsoft, Byju's, ITC, TCS, IDFC Bank, HDFC Bank, and many more companies that are visiting to recruit students. Top roles offered are data analyst, web developer, and many more. Above 7 CGPA students get easily placed compared to below 7 CGPA students. But sometimes luck and talent also work, so CGPA does not matter in many companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. All departments have their own building. Labs are there. AC classrooms are available. For self-study, there is a library where students can study peacefully. Sports and games are available. Medical facilities are also there. Mess food is healthy and totally clean. Canteen is also here. The infrastructure of DAV University is so beautiful and good.
Faculty: Faculty are so good. Teachers are very knowledgeable and fully qualified. They personally help us in our projects and in preparation of interviews. And the course curriculum is definitely relevant, and it's making students ready for industry. Semester exams are a little bit difficult. The passing mark that the student need is 40%.
Other: I have more interest in CSE. So I chose this course. The best thing about this course is that it relates to new technologies and AIs. The better improvement is that the student should teach the behavior and interview knowledge, which helps them take jobs easily. There are so many events organised in our college. Scholarships are also there. Sports-related all competitions are organized there. There are also many fests and treasure hunts organized there.
