Q:   Is it worth pursuing D.Pharma at DPSRU?

    A:
    {Source: D.Pharma students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

    * Placement Scenario: Unfortunately, most students reported that there are no or negligible on-campus placements for D.Pharma students. However, they encouraged students to explore off-campus opportunities, citing that the college's reputation and the image of DPSRU can lead to high chances of securing a job in a company or hospital.
    * Teaching Quality: Most reviewers praised the teaching staff, saying they are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive. Some mentioned that faculty members make students feel comfortable, while others noted that some may lack motivation or enthusiasm.
    * Infrastructure: While the overall infrastructure seems decent, some reviewers pointed out issues with hostel conditions, particularly regarding mess food and infrastructure. Others appreciated the availability of modern facilities, such as air-conditioned classrooms and Wi-Fi connectivity.
    * Course Curriculum: Some students felt that the current curriculum might not directly prepare students for industry demands, but internships (which are mandatory) helped bridge this gap.

Considering these points, whether pursuing D.Pharma at DPSRU is worth it ultimately depends on individual goals and priorities. For those interested in pharmaceutical industries and willing to explore off-campus opportunities, DPSRU might still offer valuable learning experiences. However, prospective students should carefully weigh the pros and cons before making an informed decision.

My college is good for those who can't afford a private college.
Placements: Around 120+ students get admission in diplomas in pharmacy. Placement is not available in D.Pharma in our college. After completing the course in two years, all students receive a three-month internship. B.Pharma, D.Pharma, BPT, M.Pharma, bioscience, DMLT, BMLT, etc. are the courses offered.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure compared to other colleges are not so good, but access to fees is okay. Libraries have Wi-Fi facilities, but speed is not that good, but books are available. Canteen is just for name, not for anything; hygiene is not present, and the food is also not good. Medical facilities are available, but for sports and games only a small playground is present.
Faculty: Teachers are good qualified, but some are not that good, but the majority of teachers are helpful and good in their subjects. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant. It's a professional course after that, after which you can open your own shop and work in any other shop. Exams are not that difficult; last-minute study and PYQs help.
Other: I only chose this college because it is government and has a great name outside the campus.

Must enroll in the university for a good future ahead.
Placements: Placements are offered both on campus and off campus to students in all courses. The average package of the B. Pharma course that companies give to students goes from INR 6-7 lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies include Sun Pharma, Cipla, Dr. Reddy, and so on.
Infrastructure: The classrooms, labs, and library are well maintained, as are the premises and building, which also have all the facilities for students. But if we talk about the hostels, they are not as good as expected for the students residing there due to low-quality mess food and infrastructure.
Faculty: The teaching staff and the lab staff are so encouraging and qualified. You will never get any complaints regarding the lectures or staff. Proper focus is given to the study of students. Monthly sessional exams are conducted prior to the final examinations as well.

    DPSRU is a good college.
Placements: Approximately 10% of students get placement in our course. The highest salary package is 1 lakh per month and the lowest is Rs. 20,000 per month. About 100% of students get internships at Cipla or others. Roles offered in our course are pharmacist and others.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. It has a library, classrooms, and many labs. Hostel quality is average, but the mess is good. Medical facilities are better.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and supportive. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. They have many years of experience. The curriculum makes students ready for the industry after the completion of the course. Semester exams are easy and the passing percentage is 50%.
Other: I chose this course to open my own pharmacy shop. After the course, we will start our own business. Everything here is good.

The college has a good reputation and the best faculty members.
Placements: When I came to the college, some seniors told me that there were no placements since 2017 for D.Pharma, but for B.Pharma and M.Pharma, the placements are conducted. So, for higher studies, this college is the best. As I know, CEO and executives for the top companies are from this college. The college reputation is really high.
Infrastructure: Earlier, there were some wrecked buildings, but after it became a university, new buildings are built, which are really good. The canteen food is really good. I loved it. But the swimming pool has been closed since 2012, as I heard. A sports fest is also conducted there.
Faculty: This is the first and only college of pharmacy in Delhi. The teachers are knowledgeable and highly qualified, and some PhD students also teach you, which is good. Semester exams are tough. The auditorium is really good, and the functions are conducted there. There is an SBI ATM outside the college.
Other: D.Pharma is good for those students who love dispensing. I think placements are provided in future. Fests are organized by some pharma companies like Sun Pharma etc. The college fee is also changed, and unfortunately, it is high.
