Established in 2018, Dhanamanjuri University (commonly known as DM University) is a well-known state-run University located in the city of Imphal, Manipur. It was initiated under the Dhanamanjuri University Act 2017 by the Department of Higher and Technical Education (DHTE), Government of Manipur and was created under the National Scheme of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA). The main motive of its formation was to convert college into a cluster university. Dhanamanjuri University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is associated with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The University comprises a total of five constituent colleges, namely:

DM College of Science
GP Women's College
DM College of Arts
DM College of Commerce
LMS Law College

All the aforementioned colleges occupy common, adjoining or neighbouring physical spaces, making education in diverse fields accessible to students. This also helps the students interact better with the peers of a different field to enhance their quality of knowledge. The University offers courses such as BA, BSc, BCom, Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (BPES), BBA, at UG level and MCom at PG level.
DM University, at present, is functioning from DM College campus. The University offers state-of-the-art infrastructure with all the basic amenities included in the campus. It also offers unlimited access to Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) in the central library of the University.

Dhanamanjuri University Admission Process

Dhanamanjuri University admission process is conducted in online mode only. An applicant can apply for more than one programme by submitting separate application forms but cannot apply more than once in the same course. The reservation of seats for various programmes is done as per state government norms. Students who are interested in science are recommended.

Placements: About 78 percent of students were placed in our course. The highest, the lowest and the average package offered in our course is INR 3000 for admin, 2000 for form fill up etc. Top recruiting companies of our courses are like of SCC and many other jobs.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not well developed in our college. Many broken walls and pillars are there. The writing boards like whiteboards, blackboards are not in proper condition. New buildings are built but not brought into proper use as for the condition now.

Faculty: The teachers are all good. They are all friendly. They are always ready to help when the students are in need of help. But sometimes classes are being neglected. It may be because of their personal problem. But prior information are given to the students.

It is the best college for the anthropology department in Manipur.

Placements: In our batch, 30 students are studying now. About 50% of students get internships every year.

Infrastructure: Our college provides everything we need, like Wi-Fi, a canteen, a library, and proper classrooms. The infrastructure is good and well-designed. There is a proper laboratory for each department. Every room has a projector and a blackboard. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. They also provide good and hygienic food. There are also proper medical facilities on the campus.

Faculty: Our department has good and experienced teachers. We do not need any extra tuition or a mentor. Our teachers teach very easily. They are helpful. We have an external trip or fieldwork every year. We have two seminars before every semester exam. Our semester exams are average. About 100% of students pass.

Other: I chose this department because of my interest in studying anthropology, and it is a good department in this college. Every year, they conduct a sports meet and a cultural meet.

Review about my college facilities, infrastructure, teaching methods, exam, and all.

Placements: I have opted for the B.Sc. in Physical Science with a subject combination of Maths, Physics, and Computer Science. And from my experience, we don't get placements after our graduation; either we study further, search for a job, or appear for the central job exam. That is the only option. But we can get placements for some computer-related jobs after the course. The lowest is about 15k, average about 20k to 25k, and for the highest, I don't know, maybe 40k or above.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is a little bit old like many other colleges. It looks modern or average, but our college is very old and needs to be renovated or rebuilt. For the facilities, there is Wi-Fi for every department, but they don't give the password to any student, so we don't get internet when the entire college world provides free Wi-Fi. Yes, we have labs, but they are a little bit old and need upgrading. The classrooms are okay but need to be renovated for sure. About the library, I don't know much since I don't go often. For the hostel, it is average. Everything is okay, and they have a silent environment. Since I don't stay in the hostel, I don't know much about food and all.

Faculty: Yes, the teachers are very helpful, qualified, and very knowledgeable. Most of them finished their studies from reputed universities, and the teaching quality and style are very good and easy to understand. The semester exams were medium, not very difficult. The pass percentage is 35%.

Other: I chose this course mainly because of Computer Science. The best thing about my course is that the teachers are very nice, helpful, and friendly, and our course can choose many placements. There is nothing I would like to improve about our course. There were many fests in the college like College Week, sports, fresher meets, and many more.

Students can achieve many things at this college.

Placements: Many students got placed in our college. From the 6th semester, students are eligible for placements.

Infrastructure: Classrooms have fans and electric bulbs for more comfort during classes with a sitting capacity of 50-60 students. There is a library for our commerce department from which we can borrow books using a library card. The hostel is quite good with clean water and other facilities.

Faculty: Our college conducts exams very strictly. There are around 2-3 invigilators in the examination hall. Teachers provide notes and complete the syllabus before exams.

Other: I opted for this course because it has more scope than other commerce degrees.

Our college is not perfect but we have the best campus experience in the state.

Placements: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in English, there aren't many direct placements after completion of the course. Most students take the course as a foundation course for either a master's degree or a B.Ed degree. There are no direct internship opportunities or direct job opportunities. The job opportunities available are based on the completion of graduation and not the particular course. A realistic career direction in the minds of most students is teaching.

Infrastructure: There was Wi-Fi, but most students didn't use it. Labs were not very large and the library was mostly dedicated to courses available. Reading space was limited though it was expanded in recent years. The canteen available was hardly satisfactory, not many students eat there. The campus was a bit small and there was not enough space for many sports activities or other recreational facilities. The available infrastructure was good compared to other colleges in the state.

Faculty: Our teachers were quite knowledgeable. Students were able to gain adequate information when they attended classes regularly. Classes were irregular as teachers sometimes rearrange or shift classes according to their schedule. They were helpful when approached. Semester exams were one of the toughest in the state. The materials and notes provided by teachers were enough to pass exams. The pass percentage was generally high, but lots of students did still have to appear in exams for back papers.

Very satisfied and really good .

Placements: More than 100 students got placed in our course. The highest package is 7.5 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA, with my average package offered in the course being 5. I don't know about the internships available in my course. To learn about environmental factors, such as climate, weather, and both natural and human-made elements, etc.

Infrastructure: First, we have to apply for an entrance test to be in the hostel. Once we pass the entrance, we can live in the hostel. The food is good; we eat rice and dal, and on Saturday, we have fish, and chicken on Sunday. Our parents can come on Saturday to meet us.

Faculty: The teachers were really helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is really good and very fun. Yes, the course curriculum is really relevant to us. I think the students are ready to do anything after the course. The semester exam is really difficult for me. My pass percentage is 6.00 CGPA.

Other: I choose this course because I think my course is interesting and I like it. I would choose smart classes for better learning. Each year, we celebrate Freshers' Meet for freshers and, after that, Sports Week and all.
