Absolutely dissatisfied with the amount of admission.
Placements: 60% of students get placed. The lowest placement amount is approximately 3 LPA, followed by 5 LPA as the highest, which results in an average of 4 LPA. Infosys, Wipro, etc., are some of the companies for recruitment. Around 80% of students get their desired internships.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of the department are quite good, for example, well-furnished classrooms, proper labs, library facilities, and a fast Wi-Fi connection. However, the hostel facilities are not up to the mark because the food served is not good, and the infrastructure of the property is old and not maintained properly.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They often give us the necessary assistance to proceed through our preparation. The course is really stimulating and is designed to make us industry-ready. The semester exams are very easy, but the pass percentage is below average.

I am satisfied with this college.
Placements: Placements for the department range from average to good. The salary package offered off-campus is 8 LPA. On-campus recruitment is on the lower end. However, the T&P cell provides adequate training and internships from time to time.
Infrastructure: LAN facilities are everywhere in the department of CSE, with speeds like 250 Mbps. There are two programming labs, a digital processing lab, an artificial intelligence lab, an image processing lab, and much more. There is a canteen just beside the department.
Faculty: Our teachers are quite helpful and well-qualified. With the necessary hard work from the student's end, the coursework won't be hard. The curriculum is relevant, but you may not have the option of choosing your elective because of the smaller numbers recruited.

Not so good for those who are looking for their skills to be furnished.
Placements: The percentage placed in our course is about 85%. Highest package: 6 LPA. Lowest package: 2.5 LPA. Average package: 3.5 LPA. WIPRO, INFOSYS, etc. are the top recruiters. 90% of students got internships in BCPL, ONGC, etc. Manager, developer, analyst, scientist, activist, programmer, banker, etc. are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi are available, smart boards are provided in every classroom, and projectors provide new experiences in labs. Well-furnished furniture and bulletin boards are available in the classroom. Apart from the central library, every department has libraries that provide a peaceful environment to study, providing different books.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and approachable; we can clear our doubts. Each faculty member has completed their doctorate. They are very qualified for their roles. Course curriculum is mostly theory-based, and it doesn't make students much ready for their industry roles. Mostly PPTs are used for teaching. Semester exams are not so tough; they are quite average. Pass percentage is around 40%.
Other: Skills are developed in this course. For those who want to pursue a computer line, they can opt for this. The best thing about this course is that it provides me the opportunity to work in the field of computer science. We have to practice on our own for skill development, as the course is only theory-based and it doesn't help us build for the industry. Lab quality should be better for a better experience. No festivals are there in this university; few events are there instead; the campus crowd is average; the surroundings are good; it covers more than 500 acres; scholarships are available but not so frequent.

An average engineering institution.
Placements: Placements were descent for our batch (2018-22). Due to the covid-19 pandemic, companies started conducting online interviews for hiring employees. This enabled the students to apply and appear for many off-campus jobs. In total, 15 placements were done in our batch of 36 students including on-campus and off-campus jobs. Some students got multiple placements from different companies. In total, 11 students were placed. Hiring companies were Wipro, CSS corp, ADP, Capgemini, start a health and allied insurance, tcs, itc infotech, and Infosys. The average package value was around 4 Lacs pa with the highest being around 6 Lacs pa. Most of the job roles offered were junior software engineer, junior software developer, etc. During our 4 years of B.Tech. Course, around 3-4 students were able to pursue internships. Everyone else pursued online industrial training. The most used platform for internships and training was Internshala. The institute doesn't offer much help in this aspect.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the institute is decent enough. We could access high-speed internet in our department through Ethernet and Wi-Fi. In our hostels, Wi-Fi is available but covers only a few rooms. For food, the university campus has many canteens and restaurants in different places on campus. There is a marketplace technically inside the campus, but actually, the closed campus area doesn't cover it. All of these canteens and other shops stay open until about 9 pm. After that, all of the shops and canteens are closed. The food provided in the mess of the hostels is the worst and it remains the same even after complaining. There is nothing the students can do about it. The food quality of mess food is disastrous and people might vomit after eating the food if they are not used to it. The overall infrastructure provided by the university is good. The closed campus provides security for students living in hostels. Overall, the campus is beautiful with lots of greenery. Facilities for sports and games are adequate and nominal medical facilities are also provided inside the campus.
Faculty: The teachers of the institute provide decent quality education. Most of them are quite helpful if you know how to approach them. Overall teaching is fair enough. It is neither excellent nor very bad. The curriculum is what you'd expect from an engineering institute in India. The subjects of the engineering curriculum are almost the same across the various engineering institutes of India. Frankly, the curriculum alone cannot make a student industry-ready. Students must learn different skills from different sources to become industry-ready. Most of the skills for the IT sector can be learned online, therefore accessibility is not a problem. But you cannot expect much guidance from the institute in this regard. On approaching the faculty members personally, they might provide you with useful information and guidance. Semester exams have average difficulty levels. Starting study about a week before the exams can make a student easily clear the exams. The questions are mostly asked about what is being taught by the teacher. Close notes are enough to get good scores in the exams. Most of the students in the institute have backlogs most of the time, not because the exams are difficult but due to their laziness and lack of study.
Other: Almost all the information about the institute is already provided above. There is not much left to say. Overall, my experience was good throughout these 4 years. Academic experience is descent. Camps experience is very nice. You can enjoy and experience a lot of things on campus. There are different events most of the time in the university. You can even get bored of attending programs and shows at a point in time, but for extracurricular activities, the university provides an ample amount of scope, exposure, and facilities. At last, don't think that this engineering institute is a government institute just because it is situated inside a government university and functions under the university. Although it is run by Dibrugarh University which is a government university, the fees are unnecessarily high and the institute functions almost like a private institute. You can never get satisfied with the number of academic facilities provided by the institute against the huge amount of fees collected. Being run under a government university, although the course is self-financing, the fees could a lot less.

Faculty are knowledgeable, placements are average, infrastructure is good and facilities are good.
Placements: Earlier placements were good; students got placed in good companies. But currently placements are low; they don't offer much. so most students go for off-campus placements. Top recruiting companies are like Wipro, Amazon, Oil India, etc. The highest package offered is 7 LPA. The lowest package offered is 2.5 LPA. Average is around 3-4 LPA. Internships are mostly offered by Oil India, BCPL, etc., and around 50% of students get the opportunity to do so.
Infrastructure: Department buildings are good-looking, and the infrastructure is good. It is a 2-floor department with facilities like strong Wi-Fi, different labs, and a study room. Computer network lab, IoT lab, and 2 other computer labs with strong networks and a comforting space are there for students. A separate library is available in the main building. AC facility is there. Hostel mess food is average; a small playground is there in front of the hostel. Wi-Fi facility is also there.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and are always available to us. All the teachers have completed their doctorate. They are very knowledgeable in their respective fields. Some of them use PowerPoints to teach and a few just use the smartboard. This course curriculum is very relevant, but it does not make the students industry-ready as it is fully theory-based. It does help us to be in an environment from where we can go to our respective favorite fields. The semester exams are average. They are mostly dependent on the faculties choice. About 40% of students pass the exams. The rest of them have to give compartmental.
