FLAME is full of opportunities!
Placements: There is a 100% placement rate for second-year undergraduate internship programs and graduating MBA students. Whereas placement rates for undergraduate batches (passing out) have around 80% in placement rate. The university offers a lot of opportunities at national and global research organizations, and moreover, at firms like TCS, Gartner, Colgate, ICICI Bank, EY, etc. There is a lot of diversity in the job roles being offered. Marketing, Market Research, HR, Financial Analysis, Therapy, Psychological Research, Policy Research, Behavioral Economics, Decision Sciences, Project and programme Management, Flutter Development are some of the buzz words I've heard this year from students getting placed. One of my batchmates got placed in Ogilvy - a huge global advertising firm based in New York - for her second-year summer internship programme.
Infrastructure: Flame is continuously working on newer buildings and facilities to add onto the existing infrastructure. In the time I've been here, they have built an even bigger stadium seating around our cricket field, along with a new dance room integrated into it and two new housings (AC and attached bathroom rooms) next to the hillside. Chandragupta is one of the most popular existing buildings at Flame since it is most recently finished building in operation. The top floor of this building has a student/staff lounge, where anyone can come to meet their friends, spend time with visitors or visiting parents, study in a less formal setting than the library, or to eat at the Hashtag cafe. The rooms throughout flame are visited by housekeeping everyday and have fully functional amenities. There is good ventilation throughout the year. Any occasional issues with lights, washrooms, or lost keys are resolved promptly once the warden is informed. The menu for every meal every day is different and fresh fruits and juices are served every morning. Currently we have two Mess halls across the campus for the convenience of students in different housings/class buildings.
Faculty: The course curriculum is very thorough and planned out beforehand on a day-to-day basis. The first year of courses compels the students to get acquainted with professors and methodologies of different disciplines. We engage in a lot of critical reasoning in forward-thinking / futuristic approaches to almost every class. 50% of the assignments are classroom based (pen and paper, submissions, research papers and proposals) and the other 50% involves doing industry-based projects (visiting actual workplaces/venues, interviewing organisation employees, dummy organizations, dummy marketing plans, guest lectures with industry professionals). If professors SEE more potential in you, or if you can stand out with a certain project or assignment, they may directly take you under their wing to mentor you and guide you to bigger opportunities. They are very knowledgeable in their fields and you are always free to informally discuss topics of academic / industrial interest with them outside of class hours. The exam schedules can get very intense, but majority of the students can get anywhere between B+ to A or A+ depending on the course complexity. Only top ranking students (1 or 2 of them) can get O grades (outstanding grades) based on relative grading of the entire class.

Infra, fests- great; academics, placements- not. Wouldn't recommend for economics programs.
Placements: Flame University does not have placements in the traditional sense, where companies come to campus and interview students. However, there is a placement committee that finds certain job opportunities that may be relevant and sends students emails regarding the same, after which students can contact them personally. However, if students search for a job by themselves alongside taking the placement committee's assistance and if the student finds a better job themselves and a worse one through Flame, they are required to take the latter. More importantly, jobs relevant to certain courses like Economics or Psychology (some of the most taken courses) were not brought to us. Jobs in finance, digital marketing/social media marketing and business analysis were more common. In my course specifically, several people were placed however, as mentioned before, not in serious economics jobs, but in more general marketing or data analysis jobs.
Infrastructure: The campus of Flame University is probably its only aspect that cannot be flawed. It has a massive campus with classrooms of all sizes (small for 10-20 students, medium for 40-50 students, large for 50+ - 80 students) with A/C, black and white boards, projection surface, charging portals for every seat etc. It has a large library as well, which is open till 1AM for studies and group activity discussions. Library has a lot of the textbooks used in classes and excellent amenities. But there are other buildings where students can study as well with Wi-Fi, tables, charging portals etc. There are some labs as well which are well-equipped. The Wi-Fi, however, is the only flaw, quite unreliable, weak in some parts of campus and devices keep getting disconnected every 20 minutes unless they particularly use Firefox as their browser.
Faculty: The teachers were qualified and knowledgeable. However, more often than not, not very helpful or supportive. They do not plan and schedule their courses well and do not seem to discuss with other faculty members when setting deadlines etc. Leading to clashes and a lot of work either piling UPAT the same time or towards the end of the semester. In terms of actually teaching and getting concepts across, half of the teachers are good and the other half are quite (below) average. Most of the course curriculum itself is not so relevant as the topics taught are from pure economics, so unless we plan on teaching or doing research, there is not too much industry relevance. There are a few courses that are more industry oriented or can be applied to other industrial needs like industrial economics and econometrics but, these are exceptions. Several of the economics students I spoke to felt that they were not employable (for serious economics application jobs) at the end of the programme and felt the need to pursue further education to be industry ready. The exams are often not on-the-spot timed written exams but, they are usually detailed 10-15-20 page research papers. So it is very difficult and time-consuming but it reduces the pressure and anxiety of sitting in an exam hall and finishing exams on time with accuracy. But sometimes there are written exams too, which are may be easier or difficult depending on the faculty. Most people manage to pass.
Other: I chose Economics as it was my favorite subject in 11-12th grade and was the safest option employment wise. I wish/hope that the workload of assignments reduces so that the time we get to actually read, study and learn our subject increases so that we can at least benefit from gaining knowledge, if not employability. I also wish there would be proper communication among faculty members of a programme so that the programme can be well planned and not have clashing submission dates or a lack of clarity on the syllabus & assignments etc. Lastly, I wish that faculty would grade our assignments on time and give feedback on why we lost marks instead of giving us many assignments that we put effort into and grade them last minute. There are plenty of inter and intracollegiate events, fests and extracurricular activities that give student opportunities to have fun, socialise, showcase their talents or gain practical exposure in even management aspects like finance department, creative department, planning committee etc. The majority of the crowd is fun, loud, social, outgoing, modern and loves to party (in the traditional sense of the word) But there are a few exceptions of studious and hardworking students who focus more on academics than fests and personal entertainment. Some extracurricular activities include dance, art, separate sports, music, theatre and other niche clubs like anime/kpop, astronomy, travel, film, fitness, trekking etc. There is poor connectivity as the campus is in a foothill and away from the city. But there are shuttles that take students to and from FC road in the city and just outside the hill at several times throughout the day. Surroundings are filled with nature and greenery and there beautiful views everywhere you look. You can get scholarships before your programme starts for the first year with impressive resumes. Make sure to ask about and apply for it. However, to maintain that scholarship for the next 2 years, you have to continue getting a high CGPA.

Review of FLAME University.
Placements: Top roles offered to the students are research assistant, data and statistics analysts, on-field researcher, in banking and insurance companies, sales and finance representatives. Our college has students who are mostly opting for further studies after undergraduate, and a few students carry on with the family business. Top recruiters are Axis bank, JSW, DMart and Byju's. Every student has to do an internship and write a detailed report on it as a mandatory core requirement for graduation. Hence our college provides internships to everyone.
Infrastructure: It has one of the best campuses around the country and a very premiere quality of facilities and infrastructure. There are ambulance and infirmary on the campus which is well-connected to the city. Sports facilities are also one of the best in India. Library and classrooms are of the best quality.
Faculty: Teaching faculty members at our college are industry experts, and most of them come from the top tier institutes around the globe. There are a variety of courses to choose from, depending on the interests each semester. All the courses are good with theoretical and practical components and a lot of on-field work for grading. It makes students industry-ready. There is on-field research, and every student has to participate and write a book with a team, so it is an overall experience.
Other: Our college conducts a lot of extracurricular activities, and varied activities are going on at all times of the year. It holds the biggest events and is very well-connected.

Our college is an all-rounder and provides unlimited facilities.
Placements: In our course, students usually opt for higher education. Our college provides you with options and assistance for the various colleges outside India, and you can go for your higher education. Placements for other courses are good enough. Since many students in other colleges go for higher education, the placement rate is not very high. However, most of the students get a chance to study in universities abroad with the help of assistance provided by FLAME University.
Infrastructure: FLAME University has campus living rule. The facilities provided are so huge that there is no need to go outside college. FLAME has a library which includes a computer lab and cafe where you can study or sit with your friend till 1 AM at night. There is a separate laboratory for each of the science subjects. The hostel has a spacious rooms to live in. The study desk and closet are big and in case of any difficulties, assistance is provided immediately.
Faculty: This college keeps you busy with several assignments and quizzes. Faculty members are great. They provide class assignments to make the class interesting. Professors interact with students to increase participation. They are always available to help students with their difficulties.
Other: FLAME University has higher fees than other Indian colleges but the faculty and life at FLAME make it worth it. FLAME University is one of the only few colleges in India that provides psychology as a BBA course. It has a unique course curriculum that other colleges do not provide in India. It has interesting internship trips and the scholarship provided to me was a plus point. FLAME gives extracurricular activities equal importance, making it an all-rounder university for me.
