Q:   How does the placement cell for B.Sc. at Gautam Buddha University assist students in getting placed?

    A:
    {Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Placement Cell for B.Sc. at Gautam Buddha University

Unfortunately, the placement cell for B.Sc. at Gautam Buddha University appears to be non-existent or inactive. According to several students and alumni:

    * "The placement cell is very poor."
    * "Few students got placements from this university."
    * "Some students who took a degree here work here as guest faculty members for their internship." (Note: This implies that the university may offer internship opportunities instead of regular placements.)
    * "Our college does not provide placements in our course."

It's essential to note that the university is still developing its placement services, as stated by another student: "The authority are in great mood for enhancing its placement by attracting different companies, and are continuous in their work."

Overall, it seems that the current state of the placement cell at Gautam Buddha University is limited, and students may need to explore alternative options for securing employment after graduation. However, the university's efforts to improve its placement services suggest that changes may be underway in the near future.

    Good college to study biotechnology.
Placements: A three-year course with one-year research is affordable but does not provide placements. This college has good labs in the biotechnology department with a cooperative lab assistant. Fair examinations are taken and helpful in building experience from lab work.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure and a beautiful college with single-seater rooms for boys. A good place to study has a nice calculator, classrooms, libraries, and hostels. No placements, but the labs in the biotechnology department are fabulous, and the teachers are also very cooperative.
Faculty: A good place to study, nice faculty, and a good college. Good infrastructure with well-maintained classrooms and a beautiful campus. No placements, but good labs. The labs in the biotechnology department are nice, with all the materials and lab equipment. Proper examination process.

I am satisfied with this college because of the teachers and surroundings.
Placements: Almost 60% of the students were placed in this course. The highest package is INR 11 LPA, the average package is INR 3 LPA, and the lowest package is INR 33k. Internships usually happen in GIMS; almost everyone gets an internship. The top roles offered are assistant professor, clinical psychologist, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities are excellent, like the fact that there is a lab also available for psychology, and there is a well-equipped classroom with chairs and connected tables. Wi-Fi is available 24 hours a day online, but you should have a LAN wire or you have to register your device for direct connection without wire. There is a huge library. Facilities in the hostel are fine, but not so good in terms of food. You will get breakfast, which will be very good in taste, but in the afternoon and night you will not like the taste of the food. In the afternoon, lunch will be somewhat better than dinner, but at the start of the session you will get a whole meal that is tasty for 1 to 2 months. Medical facilities are fine, and sports facilities are also available, depending on how the person will use them.
Faculty: The teachers in our course are well qualified. The teaching quality is good; here, the teachers know very well how to teach a child and make them ready for further challenges. Again, it depends on how seriously you take it. Semester exams are average; it depends on the subject. If you study well, it will be easy; if not, it will be hard for you. The passing percentage is 32%.
Other: You should only choose this course if you are interested in studying human behavior and personality. A lot of events usually happen in our university, where a well-equipped and healthy environment is present.

    Review of Gautam Buddha University.
Placements: There is no guarantee of placements through the university. Students have to secure jobs based on their own performance. Placements are entirely dependent on their hard work and efforts. No assistance is provided for internships or placements from the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, with laboratory classes held 2-3 times a week, and all the necessary equipment is available. However, the maintenance is lacking, so students often have to conduct experiments on their own. WiFi is not provided to students; it is only for office work or faculty use.
Faculty: The faculties are good and come from reputable colleges and universities. Most of them have PhDs and better experience. Exams are conducted properly on time, and the curriculum for this course is better compared to other colleges. Semester exams are not too difficult; it all depends on the students' hard work.
Other: Our batch has 70 students, and this year there are more as our juniors have been admitted. Since this course is new, there are only around 50 seniors. Fests are filled with fun activities, and there are various clubs for students.

Good infrastructure and green environment. Faculty is also good.
Placements: Psychology placements are less in bachelor's. But for Masters and M.Phil it is good. You will mostly have to sort it out yourself in case of psychology. Law stream has good internships and placements. There are certain private hospitals in Delhi which come for recruitment in psychology bachelor's.
Infrastructure: Network in class is a little poor. Library is very good. Labs are also fine. WIFI is available but only teachers can use it. You can make good connection with teachers. Hostels are also fine. We have single room occupancies only. For first year students, they provide double occupancy rooms at the start. There are 5 girls hostels and around 12 boys hostels.
Faculty: Exams standards are good. Not so tough and not so easy. We have 2 set of exams in 1 semester, Mid sem exams and End sem exams. If you fail an end sem exam, then you give the back paper 1 year later with your juniors. Back paper fees is 1500 rs. Passing percentage is 33%.
Other: Fest are usually once or twice a year. Apart from this, we have conference events, freshers and farewell like other colleges. Sports events, food fest, music fest etc. are organized. For travelling we have Noida metro, which is aqua line. Nearest metro stations are Pari chowk and Knowledge park 2.

I am satisfied with faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: Many students got paid internships in Fortis. Placements were good. Few got placed in fortis and other private hospitals. For internships, you have to pay.
Infrastructure: Hostel life is much good but has a little bit of problem in the washroom. Hostel fee is very less that is nice with the canteen and gym. Facilities are good for girls timing is till 7 pm.
Faculty: Semester exams are easy if you study. Question paper is not that hard. The pass percentage is full as everyone pass the exam. Research is difficult but everything is good.
Other: There are many fests like food fests but due to covid, they are delayed otherwise events happen every year and are good to enjoy.

Nice university to pursue this course because the lab of biotechnology is too good.
Placements: Placement is not available for all courses. Only the School of Management got placement opportunities; other departments don't have placements. In the B.Sc. biotechnology course, you do not get any placement but can get many opportunities given by your professors, and webinars and seminars are also conducted by the faculty members for your knowledge.
Infrastructure: Many departments do not have AC. But the faculty members are very good and belong to very good fields with experience. Hostel rooms are quite good, and the mess food is like other messes, not too good but okay. Medical facilities are provided, and extracurricular activities are also there to take part in. The library is quite big and great.
Faculty: The teaching quality is too good, I must say. The only thing I can proudly say about this university is the facilities and the way of teaching. The semester exams are moderate or quite hard, but an average student can pass them easily by studying.
Other: Why did I choose this course? Nice question because I do not know the answer yet. But I am not regretting choosing this course, although biotechnology does not have too much scope in India, the labs in GBU are very well developed and provide more equipment compared to other universities nearby.
