Other: At first glance, the college seems to be very prosperous, efficient and educative. However, in the 2 years I have spent here doing my masters, I have found it to be lacking in many ways. The only good point I would say about the college is concerning the hostels, the cafeteria food, and the infrastructure. On the infrastructure front, the college campus is spread over a large area with carefully managed parking spaces, sports fields and school and college buildings. The campus is relatively new, with clean and well-maintained grounds. The cafeterias are also clean and hygienic and the food is tasty. Being fully air conditioned, the campus keeps us away from the heat. However, the Wi-Fi connection is a major letdown! It’s a new university, hence, it has a bleak placement track record. It is just now sending out its first batches and the highest package that an MBA student was offered was about 4 lacs. In the engineering department, they are sending masters students to call centers like Convergys for placement. About the faculty, it is a mixture of knowledgeable and not-so-knowledgeable teachers, like any other college. The administration is mismanaged and haphazard, with communication gaps and long, winding processes even for small tasks. The good part is that the deans of the colleges are approachable and helpful. All in all, I would say that only the most desperate candidates should come here.
