I like the university but I feel that they need to improve a lot.
Placements: There are no placements in the university nor there are facilities of career guidance or internship. In this competitive world, I think it would be advantage if the university start internships and placements. The top role offered after the course are HR manager and civil servants.
Infrastructure: There are 6 departments in one building but all departments are well differentiated. The classrooms are spacious. There is no Wi-Fi or proper network on campus. There is canteen and health care clinic on campus but the campus is big and it's quite far. There is hostel with mess service with average food. There is well-equipped gym building and big outdoor ground where inter departmental programs take place.
Faculty: The curriculum is well designed to meet the needs of career opportunities like political sociology, educational sociology, and philosophical sociology are some of the important papers. There are 3 internal exams, 20 marks each of which the average is taken, and 1 final exam for 80 marks. The passing percentage is 40%. The teachers are well qualified but they are strictly formal and focused on academics.
Other: There were no events this year since covid was on. Hopefully, the next year, we have many events, fests, and extracurricular activities. I love sociology and interacting with people so I would like to take up a project in my next semester.

It is the best college, and anyone can get in.
Placements: Mostly students of second-class who scored below 60% in their academics can get admission in this degree college. The bright student and the average students also got jobs in well-reputed business firms. Some of them are working as teachers, counsellors, and a few have started their businesses.
Infrastructure: Our hostel was the best. I had the best time of my life in college, whether it be the classrooms and library. We also had other facilities like medical and sports. The infrastructure of the college was top notch in the college. There was gymkhana which included almost all indoor sports for fitness.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were the best when it came to studies. Teaching was good. They always understood the difficulties and problems which we faced in studies, even during holidays and before exams. Teachers were kind-hearted to do the revision and help us in teaching the important matter.
Other: There were many events held during the course. It was the best.

Good placements were given by Goa University.
Placements: I got only 70%, but I got the placement. The top recruiting companies for our course were mostly schools and colleges. The highest salary package was somewhere around Rs. 1,20,000 per month and the average that I got was Rs. 40,000 per month. Almost 75% of students in our college got internships.
Infrastructure: Our college has good food, and there was a hostel with a good connection. The teachers in this university are great, and I would like to be a teacher here for some time as this place has a very quiet environment. Last, of all, the people here are great and they won't step back to help you.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are experienced and know how to teach their students. I got a placement just after my graduation, and I would suggest that this is the place where you make your future. I was an average student and the pass percentage was 33% out of 100%.

You must visit Goa University because it is worth it.
Placements: Car manufacturers want good English speaking employees, and this course helps to get those jobs. There are lots of chances to get jobs in government offices such as developing companies like Glenmark, Cipla and many industrial companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good here. Our college offers free Wi-Fi, and the labs are advanced with Apple computers. Classrooms are best with good seating arrangements and completely air-conditioned. The library is huge, and all books are available in different languages. There is a canteen in which prices are negotiable. There are good medical facilities.
Faculty: In Goa University, teachers have good experience of teaching and good behaviour towards students. They explain every topic in which students have a problem. They teach them in modern ways like PPT presentations and give them projects to do on the laptop.
Other: I chose this course to improve my English and to become an English tutor.
