Placement cell is there but the placement and packages are very poor.
Placements: During 3rd year of my college time, college committee made placement cell for students but the result was not so good. After completion of the 8th semester, they called one company that offered a 7k/month salary.

I think the college is good at nothing, I'll suggest to keep it as a last option.
Placements: I don't think it would be a good idea to join this college as in terms of placements. They will provide you various sources to just get an earning and that's it. Even in my seniors batch hardly any of them were focused to get a placement.Though they can get you 1.2-1.6lac p.a job with a role of marketing, finance, BPO or otherwise.
