Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

* According to some students, the course curriculum is not entirely satisfactory as it hasn't been updated recently, leading to outdated syllabi and acts being taught.
* However, another student mentioned that the curriculum is relevant and prepares students for industry-ready jobs.

* Despite the mixed reviews, most students agreed that the course covers a wide range of subjects and topics related to commerce.

B.Sc. in Forestry - Batch of 2027

This university is very good. It is one of the biggest and top universities in central India.
Placements: In the forestry course, some students get placed after passing, and the rest of them go for higher studies like M.Sc. or Ph.D. 70-80% of students get internship opportunities from the department in the government forest department, nurseries, wildlife department, paper mills, etc.
Infrastructure: In my department, there is good infrastructure, such as a separate lab for UG and PG, smart and semi-smart classrooms, MHRD Wi-Fi, a departmental library, etc. The faculty is experienced, good in nature are very supportive. They stand with students in any situation. .
Faculty: The teachers are very good and supportive. They have experience and good teaching quality. The course focuses on forest-related activities like how to manage forests, how to grow them, and different other activities related to forests. Here, students are trained to manage forests, which is required nowadays as lots of trees are being cut down, and the condition of the environment is well-known. They are trained in a way that the requirements of people are also fulfilled, and it does not affect the environment.
Other: Forestry is a very interesting course. In this course, we learn how to manage forests, wildlife, and the environment, which is very helpful nowadays. Students from other states also take admission, such as from UP, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Bihar, Jharkhand, WB, Odisha, Telangana, and others, which makes the university campus diverse in terms of culture, language, etc.

An honest review of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya.
Placements: The details about placement, the highest placement, and the average salary package offered are not shared officially. However, the sources I know say 12 LPA was the highest salary package offered. The information about internships and roles in internships is not shared anywhere.
Infrastructure: Talking about infrastructure, the department of engineering does not have a very good infrastructure as it is a government college. The internet connectivity in the college is really poor. The labs are well organised and set up and have the latest equipment and software. Classrooms are well-equipped with green boards, whiteboards, and a smart board. The seats of the classes are well added. The hostel changes yearly till 3rd year and out of them, 1st-year hostels have the best facilities and rooms. The food is not up to the mark in the mess but it's good. The sports facilities are really good with two basketball courts, three badminton courts, two volleyball courts, and kabaddi as well as a football and a cricket ground. Medical facilities are good as the college has a medical department where the checkup and dedication are free.
Faculty: Not all teachers are well knowledgeable but most of them are. The teaching quality is good for most of the teachers. The course curriculum is relevant too as it is according to the new education policy which, focuses on overall development of students rather than just making them ace in curriculum. The semester exams are not at all difficult and have a moderate level. The pass percentage is 33% to pass for a particular subject.
Other: I opted for this program because it represents a firm fusion with my passion and professional dream. The curriculum perfectly balances theoretical knowledge with practical applications, which helps me gain in-depth knowledge regarding [the specific subject/field]. Moreover, the course allows me access to experienced faculty members, state-of-the-art resources, and opportunities to work on real-world projects essential foundations for. One of the best things that this course does is stress innovation and collaboration. It encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills in an understanding related to dynamic needs in industries. The course has excellent industry connections, providing internships and placement opportunities with top companies, and ensuring an easy transition from academics into a professional career.

Inside Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya a central university .
Placements: Core branches received very few placements. Placement percentage is around 30%. Whereas non-core branches received above 65%. The highest placement was 55 LPA, the average was around 6 LPA, and the lowest is not known, but as per talks it was 3 LPA. Usually the IT sector companies are the top recruiters, but companies like Adani also come in as recruiters, but very few.
Infrastructure: Right now only 3 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels are there. For girls, even though it may be sufficient, but for boys, it is very less and only a few get it, but the infrastructure of the hostel and branches is very poor, and most of the equipment is not available. Even though funding comes to the university on a regular basis, development is very slow.
Faculty: Although most of the teachers hold high degrees, teaching is not that good, and exams conducted are not up to the standard; usually questions are copied for previous papers of IIT, and even while checking papers, teachers like to see the exact formulas they have used for solving the problem.
Other: Events are conducted on alternate years, and crowds are also okay, and campus life is also pretty good. Now and then some extracurricular activities are conducted.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Forensic Science - Batch of 2022

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good teachers, and campus.
Placements: There is no placement after doing B.Sc. directly, but there may be a chance after doing M.Sc. Scope is more in Forensic Science because competition is less. In our time, there were 37 students. There is no company that directly selects a student based on B.Sc.
Infrastructure: The best thing is that the Wi-Fi and library facility is very good here. Every kind of book will be available in the library. As far as the hostel is concerned, the hostel is also good, and it is available for both boys and girls. There is a specific lab for each department.
Faculty: The best thing here is that the teachers are the most cooperative and always available for students. Semester exams are a little bit difficult, but if someone needs any type of help, the teachers are always there to help and they are very humble.
Other: I chose this course because this course provides knowledge of criminal and legal things as well.

Basically Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya is a good university and it got the ranking of A+ by NAAC.
Placements: In Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, there is not any good placement here, but I am making you sure that here everyone will get quality education, but there are some flaws too. The companies that come here for the placement came with very limited vacancies.
Infrastructure: Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya's hostel infrastructure is very good. You'll get great food with good behaviour from staff. You'll get a good library, good computer labs, a canteen with good foods, and for the medical facilities, there is a health care centre too.
Faculty: I'm not talking about the other departments, but in the department of law, the teachers are not that supportive. The teachers are totally based on some specific students. The tenure of my B.A. LL.B. is for years. And the quality of education for law is not good here.
Other: Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya is totally a value-for-money university because fees are not that high. For my course, I pay 3900 per semester. I wish to improve my faculty. I want some good teachers who know how to respect and treat students.

Glimpse of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya.
Placements: There is no placement cell in our department, i.e., Anthrand tribal development. Placement: You have to do a Masters, then a Ph.D., then qualify for placement in college as an assistant professor or professor. In the second year, internships are compulsory for every student.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good, like Wi-Fi, which is average sometimes but not fast. The classroom is okay, and the tables are average. The library is less spacious; 500 people cannot sit. Books are available. The facilities in the hostel are very good: food, Wi-Fi is good, medical facilities are average, and sports are good.
Faculty: Teachers and faculty are very helpful and understanding. They qualified Net grf after completing Ph.D. Teaching quality is good. This course curriculum is beneficial for those who want to crack UPSC. They can select anthropology as the optional subject.
Other: Fest, EDM Night, and Cultural Fest are the programmes organized by the university.
