Guru Ghasidas Central University is always a good choice for students of a science background.
Placements: There is a very good opportunity to get placement, and in B.Tech, there are various opportunities for getting placement. BBA and MBA are also good subjects. I'm a student of Forestry, and I am doing many internships and gaining a good amount of knowledge, which will be helpful in the future.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The buildings are more attractive and spacious. The campus is very big and very interesting to explore. There is one cafeteria, one hall, and 3-4 small canteens. The department building is very good in terms of infrastructure and also of good quality.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is very nice. They help in every situation. They also encourage us to take part in sports. The exams are also conducted at the right time, and my exams are going well. I am very happy. The college also has other extracurricular activities, and I take part in them.

Overall, good facilities were provided at the hostel and departments.
Placements: 60-70% of students are placed in NGOs related to environment conservation. The highest package is 10 Lacs; the average package is 6-7 lakh; the lowest package is 2 lakh per annum. Mostly, all students get internships at jungle safaris, non-government centers, etc. Forestry is a 4-year course in which you'll study about cultivating and maintaining forests. You'll definitely enjoy this course.
Infrastructure: Good Wi-Fi facility. Separate labs for different subjects. It has a well-developed library. There are smart classes and semi-smart classes. The hostel has good infrastructure, clean washrooms, and good food. A health centre is near the hostel. The university has football grounds, hockey grounds, badminton courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts, etc. Overall, the facility is good.
Faculty: Teachers are strict but helpful. They are well qualified. Most of the students prefer government jobs, so they teach them like they can qualify for the exam. Exams aren't difficult. Syllabus-oriented questions are given. 40% is the passing percentage. The theory exam is of 100 marks, in which internal assessment is included, and 100 marks for practical. Here, you can maintain a good CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because it gives a chance to get connected with nature. The campus is a little bit crowded in the evening. The college provides scholarships for sc/st/OBC categories.

Experience of GGV Campus.
Placements: I'm studying in B.Sc. Forestry Honours, and there are a total of 78 students enrolled in this subject for the session 2024-25. The placements are not confirmed, as there is not much placement from our department. But there are a lot of opportunities from the forestry background.
Infrastructure: There are so many facilities and really good infrastructure available, as we are provided with Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, a departmental library, and also have a departmental museum. I live in the hostel, and the infrastructure of the new girls' hostel is really good. The mess food is not that good, but it's fine just to survive.
Faculty: Yes, our faculty members are very friendly and helpful towards the students. Mostly everyone is a professor, and half of them are Ph.D. scholars. They know how to teach a particular subject according to the need. The end-semester exams are held in a really good manner, following every rule and regulation.
Other: I chose my major subject as Forestry because I like to learn about nature, and this campus is fully surrounded by greenery. There is a nursery on our campus. There is a lot of crowd, as there are 32 departments in this university.

My College and My Lifestyle at College.
Placements: It is the first semester at my college, and I have noticed that forestry has various placement options, but the placement options in further courses like commerce, BBA, and biotechnology have more. I have selected this course because I have to give the competition exam for IFS. 60% placement I have noticed.
Infrastructure: In the college campus, there are various facilities like Wi-Fi lab. Classroom Wi-Fi is good, 24/7. The library is so big that its name is in the entire library and the labs. It is also a good and practical place. Also, it is the best practical classes we have held. The quality of the hostel facilities is also good and cheap. It is very good. Sports and facility games are provided by the GGu like Khelobharat competition. In our campus, there is Nalanda University lab. That is very good with the available Wi-Fi facilities.
Faculty: The faculty is very nice in our college. They are knowledgeable, and all the professors in our college have a degree of Doctor. In their first term, the courses are difficult, and exams taken are also difficult. But the degree value of this college is very high, so the exams they take are very difficult.
Other: I chose this course because I want to prepare for the IFS exam conducted by UPSC. The course is very good, and no improvement is needed. Events, fests, and campus crowd are very good. Connectivity is too good. The campus is surrounded by trees, and the scholarship they provide is 100%. Extracurricular activities are also a part of the campus.

This university is very good. It is one of the biggest and top universities in central India.
Placements: In the forestry course, some students get placed after passing, and the rest of them go for higher studies like M.Sc. or Ph.D. 70-80% of students get internship opportunities from the department in the government forest department, nurseries, wildlife department, paper mills, etc.
Infrastructure: In my department, there is good infrastructure, such as a separate lab for UG and PG, smart and semi-smart classrooms, MHRD Wi-Fi, a departmental library, etc. The faculty is experienced, good in nature are very supportive. They stand with students in any situation. .
Faculty: The teachers are very good and supportive. They have experience and good teaching quality. The course focuses on forest-related activities like how to manage forests, how to grow them, and different other activities related to forests. Here, students are trained to manage forests, which is required nowadays as lots of trees are being cut down, and the condition of the environment is well-known. They are trained in a way that the requirements of people are also fulfilled, and it does not affect the environment.
Other: Forestry is a very interesting course. In this course, we learn how to manage forests, wildlife, and the environment, which is very helpful nowadays. Students from other states also take admission, such as from UP, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Bihar, Jharkhand, WB, Odisha, Telangana, and others, which makes the university campus diverse in terms of culture, language, etc.
