Placements: 1.Placements depends on the academic performance and how you tackle interviews. More than half of the students with no backlogs were placed. Students with backlogs were also placed. 2. 6 LPA to 1.5 LPA was the salary range offered. 3. For Mechanical branch: Bosch, royal enfield, federal bank, infosys, sriram finance, luit minerals etc. 6. Compulsory internship for every 3rd year students. BARC, Hindustan shipyard lmt etc.

Placements: There's no job replacement in our faculty as of now, but with the assistance of some prestigious professors and lawyer, the institute is trying to provide a job replacement to the students. Job replacement is provided to BBA students where they seized to work for the prestigious and renowned company. They mostly get to work in companies like marketing and law firm.

Placements: Placement was good, but most companies come for the top 5 or top 10 in your class else only mass recruiters will take you. That too if you don't have any backlogs. During my final year about 20% from our class got placed in PSU's. Oil India limited was the highest paying psu, with 12 LPA.

Placements: Almost 70% of the students got placed, and it is the best engineering college in Assam. The highest salary package of around 12 LPA and the lowest salary package of 2.7 LPA and the average salary package of around 3.5 LPA were offered. The top companies which visit our college for placements were TCS, IBM, IOCL, etc. Students will get internships easily because of the reputation of our college.

Placements: Last year, around 20 to 30 percent of students (approximately) were placed from our course. The highest salary offered was around 17 Lacs per annum and average was around 5-6 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies from our department were IBM, Infosys, Wipro, etc.

Placements: Around 20-30 percent students are placed every year in cement companies, paint companies. Top recruiting companies include PSUs like NRL, OIL, ONGC etc. They pay an average package of around 16-20 Lacs per annum. The highest salaries are given by PSUs while cement companies give the least packages to my knowledge, which may be around 2.5 Lacs per annum. Placements: Lack of placement. Only sale company came last year. Less than 20% of students were placed in our batch. Some were placed in Harley Davidson, some in the local company of the state. The placement cell doesn't take any responsibility until now. Maximum students are left without being placed.

Placements: Placements were good just that the students had to keep up a good average academically. At least 45-50% students were placed. The highest salaries that were offered were from the PSU's and the lowest were from the IT companies. Average salary was around 5L per annum.

Placements: Overall placements in our college are okay. Every year, PSUs and MNCs visit the campus for placements. However, the ratio of placed students to students unplaced is low. It's not the fault of T&P cell or teachers. Many MNCs demand having knowledge in coding which some of our students lack.

Placements: We don't have placement facilities in our department. But other departments have the facilities of placements. Gauhati university gives good placements to the one who deserves. Deserving candidates are allowed to seat in the placements held in gauhati university.

Placements: Placements are quite impressive. But it is yet to take the high pace as it is supposed to be. Most of the students get chances of practicing under some senior advocates. And some get chances to do practice in district courts. Even some get chances to assist senior advocates privately.

Placements: Placement facilities are only available for professional or technical courses like MBA, MBE. However, steps have been taken recently to strengthen the placement cell and also to provide career counseling to every student of every department, for which placement officer will visit each department.

Placements: Placements were average during my tenure. Around 45% of the students were placed. The companies that visited the campus to hire students were mostly from the IT sector. The average salary package offered by these IT companies was around 2.5-3.5 LPA. PSUs like Oil India and Powergrid visited our campus with an average salary package of 12 LPA, but they hired only a few students. The placements in our college were good until 2010. Placements: The college didn't have a placement cell for the economics department. But, carrying a masters certificate from Gauhati University has a great value and good job prospects. I believe that our department should start providing placement to the students. However, other departments of Gauhati University do provide placements.

Placements: The placements of the college are average. Mostly IT and sales companies visit the college for placements. Top MNCs like Amazon and Cummins also visit the college for the placements. I got placed in JUD Cements Ltd. Overall, placements are good when compared with other north-east colleges.

Placements: Last few years, Girijananda Choudhury Institute of Management and Technology popularly known as GIMT has done a great job in attracting good popular companies for campus interviews. Final year students of mechanical engineering got placed in companies like Bharat Benz, Brahmaputra Harley Davidson, Cummins India limited, Garuda Power Private Limited, Ethnus Consultancy Services Private Limited, and Tech Mahindra. Placements: The placement percentage of my batch was around 80%. Companies like Amazon, Genpact, APDCL, Godrej, Greenply, and HDFC Bank visited our campus. The average package offered was 2.5-3 lacs per annum. The college has a dedicated placement cell that looks after placements. They make sure everyone gets a chance to sit for at least one interview.

Placements: Placements in our institute are excellent. However, there are no campus placements. But our training and placement cells sends us to respective places where we can get hired in very good companies. Our branch has the highest placements, and many of our seniors are doing good jobs.

Placements: Placements in our college are quite good. Our training and placement cell is very good and supportive to students. There are no on-campus placements, but the placement cell sent us to some places where recruitments are going on and we can surely get a good job. But in future, there are lots of scopes for getting placements in our college.

Placements: CIT, Kokrajhar is a premier institute in Assam. Though it is under MHRD, Government of India, its performance in terms of college placements is not that good when compared to other institutes like NIT and IIT which are governed by the same department.
