Strong academics, research, and a modern campus.

Placements: In 2023, 82.67% of students were placed in my course. Students applied for different roles in companies, with most of them securing jobs as SDEs. Other roles offered in the course include Junior Chemical Engineer, Consultant, Analyst, Product Engineer, Management Trainee, and Faculty in Allen. It's absolutely good, environment is good and ofcourse the most beautiful campus.

Placements: In my branch, 50% have been placed till phase 1 for the 2024 batch. Overall, placement is not good for this batch, mainly due to the recession and some politics carried out by the placement coordinators who are from the 4th year. They favor their own friends for interviews and provide assistance to them during tests.

Detailed information of institute.

Placements: Placement is definitely less when we compare it with other courses like engineering. Our senior batch strength is 30 students, and all are placed with at least one offer. Eight students cracked state or central government civil service exams and got government jobs. Before placement, we all received internship opportunities. Consulting firms such as EMSI, Brain, BCG, and McKinsey, along with many NGOs and financial firms, came for hiring. A few students pursued Ph.D. studies, but in the end, 100...

A great hard course with great placement. Next CSE branch potential, hard to get admission.

Placements: This is relatively a new branch but has a great scope of placements and internships. In recent years, good amount of students have secured their early internships and placements from this branch. It is comparable to Computer Science engineering and foster's a potential of being the Next pumped-up sector and branch.

Pumped in my first year and eagerly waiting for the future.

Placements: This year placements are good in our branch; according to what the seniors and the pros told us, 5 members got 1CR+, and the average package is also in the range of 30 lakhs, which is pretty hefty. Mathlib, Amazon, and Google are some of the major companies recruiting on our campus .

Life in IIT Guwahati.

Placements: Placements at IIT are always good, but in recent times, a recession has arrived. I think that in 3 years, we will get PPOs and job offers. I don't know much about the companies and don't have official placement data, but the highest package was 2.4 CPA, with 73 percent placed. I want to do a job.

Satisfied with the faculty members.

Placements: Though all students do not get placed through campus interviews, 40–50% of them get placed with the companies coming to campus. Some companies hire humanities students. I have a better idea about the only HSS department that provides internships. But it does not provide a stipend. The students need to contact the faculty members or department head.
