Harcourt Butler: A nightmare

Placements: About 20% students got placement last year in B.Tech. The highest was offered from Microsoft about 43.5 lacs. Top recruiting companies were Mediatek, Asian paints, Oyo rooms, Jubilant Food works, Samsung, United Brewries, Global logic. Average package offered was 7.5 lacs, the lowest was 3.5 lacs. About 10% students only got internship in good companies such as Microsoft, Airtel, Vodafone etc. Others got internship from internshala and others like that.

Rebuilding stage but possess good peers to compete, learn and grow.

Placements: Placement statistics of mechanical department is good. Approximately 50-60% students get placed. Last year in 2018 35 students got placed in a batch of 60 students. Top recruiters being Maruti Suzuki, Exxon mobile, Hero, Tata etc. The highest package offered in 2018 being 16 lacs, while average falls in the range of 7-8 lacs. Most of the students prepare for competitive exams like GATE CAT ESE, IAS etc. They tend to get tremendous success in all these fields as well.

If you like chemistry, go for it.

Placements: Placements in the session 2019-20 were quite decent amid the slowdown in the automobile industry. Usually, paint technology offers more than 80% placements with an average salary package of 5 LPA. But in the current year, it has shown a dip. Until now, almost 10 students have been placed from batch strength of 30. Top recruiting companies was Indigo Paints offering 6 LPA (approximately). Other companies which visit here for recruitment were Asian Paints, Hero Moto Corp.

Except for some professors, teachers quality is poor.

Placements: The strength of our senior batch is 22 students, and among which, only one student got placed until now. From super senior batch, around 5 or 6 students got placements. This year, one student got placed with a salary package of 12 LPA. In the previous year scenario, the average salary package offered was 4-5 LPA. Adani Wilmar is a dream company here. Every student is sent to the local municipal water treatment plant every year, but they can't learn anything there.

Satisfiable faculty and good quality of students.

Placements: I am a mechanical engineering undergraduate and currently in fourth sem, Although placements are good enough here in this discipline. About 50-60% got placed each year with good package. The average package fluctuates between 6-7 Lacs per annum. The lowest package is about 2-3 Lacs and the highest can go upto 8-9 Lacs. The major recruiters are tata motors and hero motto corps. Almost 70% get internship offers depending upon their skills in companies like exxon mobile etc.

A project engineer and software developer are key role offered in that company. The faculty are average and satisfactory The internship got by the student is 40%.

I would say if score good marks in JEE Main than you should look for other colleges. Not satisfied.

Placements: There are 12 students placed out of 28 in my batch, I also did not get any job from campus and preparing for banks. Some others are placed too but it is not due to college they did their own search and worked through that. But college will show as if they helped them in doing that. Yes college previous reputation definitely helped them but now college reputation is degrading day by day I would not suggest to join this college.

Placements: Almost 60% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 11 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. Companies like Adobe, Samsung, Yatra, BEL visited the campus for placements. Roles offered is Software engineer. College does not invite companies for an internship. Placements: Placements for our batch was good. Almost 80% of the students got placed. Placements for our senior batch was also good, and it was around 70%. However, it significantly improved in 2019. Faculty are good, no placements for civil engineering and the infrastructure is poor.

Placements: Placements for civil engineering are not good. When we were in college, only L&T as a core company visited the campus and took only one student surprisingly. Around 5 of our seniors got placed in L&T in 2015. Most of us came to Delhi to prepare for government services and got selected in various central and state-level engineering examination. Everyone from our batch got an internship in various PSUs, LMRC, DRMC, CPWD etc. But, none got a stipend for that. We do have a placement cell, and it's t...

Permanent faculty are good, but guest faculty members are not good. It is worth for the money paid.

Placements: Placements in our college are good for most of the branches, but some branches like civil, electrical, and leather, struggle a lot for placements. Leather and civil placements are the worst while placements in CSE, IT, and paint or oil, are good. It is known for its chemical engineering department, and it is the best.

Review of Harcourt Butler Technical University.

Placements: Placements in the college were not bad compared to other state-based colleges. Many people got placed in reputed companies like Reliance, TCS, and some of the Miniratna PSUs like Bharat Electronics Limited visited the campus for placements. The average salary package offered is 9-10 LPA. Overall, HBTU provides us with better placements.

Placements: The placement of our batch was great. Amazon, PayU, Yatra, Reliance Jio, Honda Cars, General Motors, Maruti Suzuki and L&T were amongst the top companies that visited the college. Yatra offered the highest package of 9lpa with General Motors following at 8lpa. Placements: We had pretty decent placements. Maximum recruitments were from my branch. Companies like Sapientnitro, Reliance, Startbeans, Tata Motors, Honda, General motors, etc. had visited. We were offered initial associate roles. Internships are not provided by the college, we explicitly apply for them from other platforms. Overall placements of HBTI Kanpur are satisfactory and above average.

Partially satisfied with the college.

Placements: Placements for non-core branches are pretty good. For the paint branch, placements are 100%, and the packages range between 4-7 LPA. Oil branch students have 100%, but the packages offered are very low compared to other branches. The oil technology branch is about edible oil and not related to petroleum branch. So, I suggest you choose your branch wisely.

If not IITs and top NITs, getting into HBTU will get you a good brand name.

Placements: HBTU is one of the most sought after colleges in UP and is well known for its chemical engineering, plastic and paint technology which are offered only in this college in India. HBTU has been able to get its students placed in highly reputed companies of the country. The vast alumni help the new students for their internships and placements.

HBTU is a great college with a rich history, pedagogy and an outstanding alumni network.

Placements: Placements for the electrical engineering branch were not up to the mark. If you are looking for a job in the core sector, you will have to resort to giving exams like GATE, IES, etc., as placement opportunities in the core sector are very limited. Non-core placements in college were good.
