About the mother institute of Uttar Pradesh (Harcourt Butler technical university).

Placements: The placement rate of the electronics branch of our college is quite low and also at a very low rate. Since I came to college this year and placements of the final year have started, only around 10 people are placed at a low package, and only a few get a good package.

HBTU: The Complete Review.

Placements: Overall good college with decent placement. 100% placement in paint and oil this year but not good for all branches. Very less people get internships. Average 7 Lacs placement. In civil engineering, topmost roles are design engineer, environment engineer, and building engineer, and you can get tons of government jobs in civil.

Average college, limited options. Not as good as top NITs and IIITs, but still okay.

Placements: Half of the students in the Computer Science and Information Technology departments secured attractive packages averaging 15+ LPA. The remaining students also received placements, albeit not as lucrative. The top-tier packages were predominantly offered off campus to high-performing students. The placements in the Chemical Engineering department were satisfactory, while the departments of Paint and Electronics had moderate success. Other departments did not fare as well.

Review of Harcourt Butler Technical University.

Placements: More than 70 percent of the students get placed from college campus placements. The highest offered package is 17 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. Recruitment companies include Suzuki, Reliance, Aarti Industries and many more. Less than 30 percent of the students from the mechanical engineering department got internships before 3rd year.

Life of the Harcoutians.

Placements: As you know, HBTU is always known for its excellent placement percentage with a good average CTC. In previous years, the placements of HBTU were always more than 90%, but in 2024 it decreased to 86% (not a problem because sometimes it happens due to more interest of students in higher studies). The chemical engineering and paint technology branches are always appreciated for 100% placement with an average package of 8-10 LPA.

2024 scenario in HBTU Kanpur.

Placements: This year's 2024 batch is just like a nightmare for on-campus placement, as 20 students in my branch couldn't get the placement. If we see the highest placement, then there is one senior who got a placement of 33 LPA off-campus in Zeta, and he also got 22 LPA on-campus in Zscaler, too. The rest of the data will be there after the list comes. This year, TCS is the god for students; it was the only hope due to the recession in the market. Very few companies are visiting on campus.
