The college is not at the level of IIT but is better than some NITs.

Placements: Placements in the electrical branch are not that good. But, most of my batchmates and seniors got good jobs through various competitive examinations. Electrical and civil branch students have difficulty in finding jobs through campus placements.

One of the best government colleges in North Kanpur.

Placements: Placement opportunities provided in this college are the best, especially for the paint technology branch. Job offers are more than the number of students. Companies like Hero, Nerolac and Asian Paints visited our campus for placements. The highest package offered was 16.5 LPA, the lowest package was 2 LPA, and the average package was 2.5 LPA.

Good college for chemical technology branches (especially paint technology and plastic technology).

Placements: Placements for paint technology branch are better than other chemical technology branches in the college. The highest package is offered by Maruti Suzuki India limited, of around 8 LPA, and Asian Paints has also offered the same package. Other companies like Hero Moto Corp also offered a good package of 7.5 LPA. Tata Motors offered a package of 6.5 LPA. Suzuki Motors, Indigo Paints, Berger Paints, Mankiewicz, Sherwin Williams, John Deere are the top recruiters. The average package offered is aro...

A good college for an ordinary student.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. Some branches have almost 50 to 60% placements. Computer science branch has the maximum placement percentage; it is almost 100% with the highest salary package being 37 LPA this year. Chemical engineering department also has good placements with almost 80% placements. The mechanical engineering department has about 50% placements with the highest package being 8 LPA till date this year, and it was 20 LPA last year. Students of other branches also get placed. M...

Satisfied with the college because of its great faculty, good placements and decent infrastructure.

Placements: Placements for the mechanical branch and other branches are good. You will get placed if you work hard. Many students opt for higher studies and competitive exams, but overall, the placements are good including off-campus and on-campus placement drives. The average salary package offered was around 6 LPA to 7 LPA for mechanical students in both core and non-core companies. Companies that visit our college are Maruti Suzuki, Hero, ExxonMobil, etc. There is a placement cell which works very effici...

A good college in terms of placements, but it needs to work a lot on the teaching standards.

Placements: HBTU ranks among the best engineering colleges in terms of placements. It is well-known for its chemical engineering department. It offers good placements for other branches as well. Some of the major recruiters in 2015 were Adobe, Snapdeal, Yaatra, Sapient Nitro, EXL Services, Nestle, United Breweries Group, Amazon, Times Internet, EXL Services, IBM, MuSigma, Newgen Software, Asian Paints, Nucleus, TCS etc. Samsung hired 17 students in 2014 but was not one of the recruiters in 2015. Good infrastructure and faculty members, but the placements need to be improved.

Placements: Placements were a problematic issue for our batch. Companies were not very frequent in visiting the campus, thus, many students were placed by the end of the session. Placements were not 100% for our branch. The best companies that visited for our branch were Samsung and BEL. They offered a salary package of 12 LPA and 10 LPA respectively.

Placements: The college provides 100% placements for the students of oil and paints technology. More than 85% of the students of all the branches got placements. The highest salary package offered for oil technology students was 27 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 8 LPA. Review of Harcourt Butler Technical University.

Placements: Placements are not good for MCA branch in this college. Only around 20% of the students were placed, and the average package offered is around 3 LPA. There is no internship from college, and the companies also don't visit the campus to offer internships. There is a placement cell in the college, but there is no support for MCA students.

The college is best for everything like sports, academics.

Placements: The placement in our college for my senior is quite proper as compared to the older seniors of my department. Approximately 70-75% get placed every year in the department. The highest salary package offered this year is 17.3 LPA by Hindustan Unilever Limited and BHEL.

The college lacks in infrastructure, facilities, and industrial exposure.

Placements: The placement rate for our batch was more than 90% and was almost similar for the senior batches. As it is a state-funded government college with a great alma mater, the placements were good. PSUs and MNCs used to visit and recruit students at a good salary package. Overall, the placements are satisfactory.

Placements: HBTI is known for its placements. Every year, companies like TATA, Maruti, Samsung, Sapient, Infosys, etc., come to recruit students from various branches; 2014 was no different. We had the above companies and many more that hired students from HBTI for their research and development teams and other core departments. If we talk about the overall college its good because in the end placements are excellent.

Placements: The placements of the college are finely awesome. And recently this year the very known company TCS has rank our college in the premium list which it usually refers to the IITS and NITs. And the minimum package given to the students from now will be 7.5. so if we talk about the placements that are pretty fine in this college beside the infrastructure. And the average goes 5 lac per annum.

The college has bad infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Almost 100% of the students got internship opportunities from the college. Some students on the campus also got paid internships. Recently, my friend from IT branch got an internship opportunity with a stipend of Rs. 50,000 per month. Regarding placements, 98% of the students got placed through the campus placements, and the rest went for government jobs or higher studies like MS, etc.

Not at all satisfied with the placements, infrastructure and faculty in this college.

Placements: The placements at our college are average. The companies that visit the college offer an average salary package of 3-5 LPA. A few well-known companies also visit the college for placements that too with limited vacancies. The only branch which is offered above average placements is the paint technology branch. There are no placements for core branches in core companies.

Average placement, bad infrastructure and facilities too.

Placements: If we talk about core branches, the placement is not so bad at all, but in the case of non-core branches except few (paint technology, plastic technology) placements are not right. This year PSUs (ONGC, BPCL) visited our college and took 5-6 students. Paint technology is the only branch that has about 90% placement. Bio-chemical branch and the leather branch have almost 0% placement.

Placements: The placements of the college have declined considerably in recent years. The highest salary package offered for a student in the CS department was around 9 LPA. Around 40% of the students get placed, every year.
