Review of HBTU Kanpur - Harcourt Butler Technical University.

Placements: Placements in HBTU Kanpur are not upto the mark. It was quite good before 2013, but after that the placement degraded drastically. Some say that it is because of no permanent director in the college. About 59 out of 62 students were placed before 2011, but now only 26 students out of 68 in 2018 batch got placed.

Dissatisfied with the placements and infrastructure.

Placements: The placements in our college are average. Students of some branches are offered high placements, and some branches are offered low placements. The college doesn't support internships even. They show politics in placements.

Review of HBTU Kanpur - Harcourt Butler Technical University.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. A good amount of companies visit the campus to recruit students. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 9 LPA. Companies like IOCI, RIL, Hindalco, Jubilant, ExxonMobil, Chambal Fertilisers, Petronet LNG, etc., visited the campus for placements. Training and placement cell is working good to ensure better management.

I'm absolutely satisfied with good placements and cooperative nature of faculty members.

Placements: The college provides 100% placement for the students of oil technology. Multinational companies like Archer Daniels Midlands, Louis Dreyfus, Adani Wilmar, Emami Agrotech, Gemini visited the college for placements, and the students are offered engineer roles. Placements for the students of other branches are also very good.

The college is only good for academics but not for extracurricular activities.

Placements: Placements are very good, but as per the reputation and fame of college, they should be even better. A few companies visit the college to hire students. So, they should take care of that. 90% of the students from non-core branches get placed. The placements for the students of non-core branches is more when compared with core branches. The average salary package offered is not up to the mark.

Great students as they create an exceptional future on their own as the administration is corrupt.

Placements: In the electrical engineering department, placements are pretty decent. Students are more tilted towards government aspects and thus chose to take jobs through Gate exams. It is one of the best colleges to produce engineers, IES and IAS. Companies like Hindalco, Samsung, L&T, etc., visit our campus for placements. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2-3 LPA.

Our college is in the worst condition and needs to be upgraded soon.

Placements: Placements in our college are just average. Regarding CS and IT branches, not even a single reputed company or MNC visited here for recruitment. In the previous year, the highest salary package of around 10 LPA was offered to 4 students. Approximately 60% of the students got placed, but they were not worthy. Our college does not provide any internship opportunity for CS and IT students as they have to apply on their own in outside the campus.

HBTU: Half a promise for Half the price.

Placements: Placement is mediocre with around 40-50 %students being placed in the last two years I have been here. The package ranges from 3lpa to 14 LPA. Branches like PT and PL have around 100 %placement alongside traditionally decent branches like CSE and ME.

The infrastructure and placements are poor.

Placements: Maximum 30%-40% of the students of core engineering branches get placements. The students of non-core courses like oil technology and paint technology also have a high number of placements. Around 80% of the placements are recorded. In some cases, even 100% placements were recorded in paint technology. But, the management is not able to bring good companies to the college.

Placements: 33 placed out of 45 eligible student (53 in total) the highest on campus:17.5Lpa the lowest on campus: 3.5lpa Production, marketing &sales, analytics were the main job profiles offered. Everyone got internships at good companies (government. And Private). Good for those who want to focus on GATE or CAT.

A bit disappointed with the administration of such an elite institution.

Placements: About 50% of the batch was placed. However, the placement record has deteriorated compared to the last year. A few MNCs arrived on the campus. Companies like BPCL and BEL visited the college and recruited many students. BPCL offered the highest package of 17 Lacs per annum.

I am not fully satisfied because of the infrastructure, but the faculty members are good.

Placements: Our college established in the year 2015, so we can know that till now no placement has taken place in our college. But last year when our new faculty took the charges, we are sure that we are going to see a perfect result regarding the placement of our college, at least better than any private college.

It is a nice university for the aspirants.

Placements: There are very good placements for computer science and engineering students. Almost every student got placed, and the highest salary package offered is also too good, i.e., about 7-8 LPA. There is a placement cell in the college, and it is working properly. The placement is increasing as the college is now not under AKTU, as it is changed to university.

Outstanding placement, poor infrastructure.

Placements: The placement is almost 100 per cent. A multitude of national and multinational firms visit the college. These include firms like ADM, LDC, BPCL, Adani, Emami, BEL, Mobikwik, TCS, Exxon mobile, Gemini edibles and many more. As far as my branch is concerned, everyone was placed with packages ranging from 3.25lpa to 5.5 LPA. The college average is even higher with a maximum going upto 17.5 LPA.

Good reputation but the standard is decreasing day by day.

Placements: The placement of college is quite decent. Best placement is in Paint Technology and Chemical Branch. Other branches like mechanical, computer Science and oil technology also have a good placement. Plastic and leather technology are the two branches in which the topper of first year is sent on college stiphened internship to Germany which assure those students a very good placement. The highest placement reaches to 20lakhs and average is around 7 Lacs.

HBTU is a place for the overall development of talents.

Placements: The placements are good as far as mediocre packages are concerned. The placements for paint technology and mechanical engineering are good. Computer science students had a boon this year. However, electronics and civil engineering are declined. The placements are good, and they are improving every year. PSU's and MNC's visit the campus at regular intervals.

Placements: The placements in our college are not very good. This year, about 80% of the students got placed. Only 7 students got a package higher than 12 LPA. Extremely poor college one should think hundred times before joining it.

Placements: Placements are really bad. Teachers do not take the pain to call good companies. Really poor and students get no support of teacher. Even if it occurs it's a meagre amount of around 3 Lacs. Placement cell does nothing all is up to students to do worthful.
