There is no such provision for direct admission to any of the programmes offered at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), formerly known as Punjab Technical University (PTU). Candidates need to pass a minimum of Class 12 to apply for I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University UG courses. The aggregate will depend of the course opted by the aspirants. There is only PG which is available nearer to this university in which the college staffs stays, it is not for girls, generally most of students stay in the college hostel because it has very less hostel fee. Also in kapurthala which is nearly 4-5kms from the university, there are two-three PGs available which is better to stay. But no one from our college lives there, if some one don't want to stay in hostel either they are local or they take a flat/apartment.
