Absolutely satisfied if you like the subject with really good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Mainly, ISRO offers placements until 2024. After the bond between college and ISRO reached its peak, it fell down. Now this is the first year of placements after the bond reached its peak; as of now, only 34 were selected out of 62 in ISRO, and others were placed in other startups ranging from 8-38 LPA.

Best placements for 2025 .

Placements: ISRO recruits most of the students, and all others are recruited by top companies like Texas Instruments, etc. Along with that, many startups come here. The highest package of the passing out batch of 2025 is about 38 LPA. There are many startups from the college that are offering jobs to students.

Learning and enduring platform.

Placements: The recruitment drive is not that strong, and mostly off-campus students get placed. The highest package offered was 10 lakhs per annum, and the lowest was 3 lakhs. However, there are good internship opportunities related to projects that students get, and generally research-related roles are offered.

Absolutely satisfied and happy.

Placements: 100 percent placement till now due to ISRO. Around an 8 LPA package. Till now, only ISRO is the major recruiter. Everyone got internships, mainly in ISRO centers or IIST itself. Roles include optical engineer and various other roles such as system designer, tester, and laser technician.

IIST - Unique or just another IIT?

Placements: One of the main reasons students select this college, other than research, is ISRO placements. Every year, more than 60% of students in the whole batch get placed in ISRO if they meet the requirement of a 7.5 CGPA till the 8th semester. The ISRO interview is generally taken during the 6th semester, in which students must have a CGPA of 7 on a scale of 10. Other than ISRO, other core and non-core companies also visit.

It is a good college in terms of education.

Placements: About 80% of students got placed in the last year's batch. A few students choose to study further. The main recruiter is ISRO, so there are no highest package criteria. Along with ISRO, there are a few other companies like Skyroot and Agnikul Cosmos. Everyone got internship offers in ISRO and a few other companies and institutions.
