The college provides good placement opportunities at very low fees.

Placements: I am a student of the electrical department. The highest salary package offered for the students of the electrical department this year is 26.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 8-10 LPA. Almost 85%-90% of the students got placed through campus placement drives. Almost 60%-70% of the students were offered internships. The highest stipend offered is 2 lacs, and the lowest stipend offered is Rs. 10,000. The average stipend offered is Rs. 40,000-50,000. There is a placement cell in the col...

Amazing crowd, really good teachers and non-teaching staff, and a great environment.

Placements: Summer placements in college are good. Companies like Paytm, ITC, Mahindra, and Accenza visit our campus and offer good profiles. Some are paid internships, but most of them are unpaid. There were a total of 17 companies that visited the campus for placements in the year 2013, post which, the number has always increased.

Jadavpur University is an IIT without tag.

Placements: Jadavpur University had really good placements last year and also the current year. Last year, almost 80% of placements were achieved. From the mechanical branch, 80 out of 90 students got placed in core companies which is really good. This year, almost 75% of the students got placed, and the placement drives are still going on. We are hoping that the placement percentage would reach 85% by the end of the semester.

I have completed M.Sc. in human development.

Placements: The placement cell of the college is really helpful if you require your area and choice of placement. They provide internships in really good organisations which gives a lot of exposure. The exposure is mostly in NGOs, Montessori, and special centres for human development course.

A review of JD Birla Institute.

Placements: The internships provided by the college were in well-known NGOs. There was no such stipend provided, but our performance was evaluated by the organisation. The placement cell is good. We got the option to choose which organisation we would like to work in, and accordingly, an effort was made to contact the organisation.

The best college with a low fee structure. Faculty members are superb.

Placements: Placements are provided to engineering students in Jadavpur. But, placements for the mathematics department are quite less, like 2 or 3 people get placed with a salary of around Rs. 40,000 per month. Basically, students from our department opt for M.Sc and then PhD if possible. After pursuing M.Sc, students can get placed, but students prefer clearing NET exam and then pursuing a PhD so that they can work as professors. Many of the professors from our department are the alumni of Jadavpur itself...

This college provides good placements and faculty members. But the campus is a bit small.

Placements: Placements were excellent for the students of our senior batch. Most of the students are willing to take up a job after BBA. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 6 LPA. Many good companies are visiting the college and looking for young talents. Companies like Swiggy, Tomato and HUL, etc., visited our college for recruitment.

JD Birla gave an amazing experience for 3 years. But, some areas have scope for improvement.

Placements: Placements for my batch were pretty good. My friends who got placed through college are happy for what they are doing and where they are. There were quite good placement opportunities provided by the college. The visiting companies not only offered us jobs but some of them offered us higher education on their behalf which was the best part.

One of the best colleges for commerce in Kolkata.

Placements: JD Birla invites few companies by the completion of the course. Some of them also offer studies along with a job, which attracts the students a lot. It also offers summer internship opportunities. HSBC also offered internships for students. The college provides very good opportunities for commerce graduates.

Placements: Placements in the college were good. Most of the companies offered internships and jobs in finance and accounting related work. I think more opportunities should be introduced for marketing and banking jobs. Many big companies like PWC, Wipro, HSBC, and other banks visit the college to offer jobs to students every year.

Jadavpur is not easy, but it prepares you for the outside world. Embrace this challenge.

Placements: You need to have just one special skill among core subjects, coding, data analytics, etc., to get placed in any company that is visiting the college for placements, and you will be given roles accordingly. Around 65 students in our batch already got placed and its mid-October only. Placements continue till April-May next year. Last year, 12 out of 100 students from our department remained without getting placements. It's highly unlikely that someone doesn't get placed here. The average salary pa...

ITC company hired 10 students for the hospitality sector. The salary packages offered are pretty good compared to other colleges; they are roughly around 3-5 lacs per annum. My views on my college, whether it is good or bad.

Placements: Placements provided in the college were average for the last 2 to 3 years. Previously, placements were far better than the current placements. Mainly, the students of core branches are suffering as there are no core placements. The curriculum is not very suitable in today's age, and for better placements, it must change immediately.
