Placements: Placements for our senior batch is going good only. The average placement of my department is between 3-4lpa. The companies like TCS, shapoorji, L&T, amazon, samsung, microsoft, tata metallics, wipro, cts, zs, pwc etc. About internships, most of the students were able to crack a internship in many fields this year.
Placements: Overall placement scenario of Jadavpur University is good. Talking about Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), it is excellent. Almost all the students who sit for placement drive gets selected. Every year number of companies which visit our campus increases. 95% of the students in our batch got offers from atleast one company on-campus. Figure was similar for our senior batch. The highest package was 40 l. p. a. , average package was 15 l. p. a. , the lowest package was 3.5 l. p. a. Companies...
Placements: About 80% of the placements are provided in our college. The placements are provided in non-core sectors like in IT, and marketing sector companies visit the college regularly. There is a good alumni association. In our time, 28 students were placed out of 34, in which 10 in IT, about 8 in marketing and others in core jobs.
Placements: I think everyone, specially in West Bengal, knows very well the placement that takes place in JU. Most of the candidates got placed in various reputed companies with attractive salary package. Some of the companies that come here are Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, Adobe, Visa, Oracle, IBM, HSBC, SAP lab etc. Also, some startup companies come to recruit fresh students. Generally, BE students are given first priority for placement. However, Masters students can also seat in the recruitment process.
Placements: The placements of our senior batch were quite good. Around 70% of the students were placed in companies like CESC, Mu Sigma, Infosys, IPCL, etc., with an average package of 4LPA. Many more companies are yet to come. Not many students get an internship from the campus, but they achieve it by themselves.
Placements: Placements are generally good here. Almost everyone gets places, albeit in some mass recruitment companies like TCS. Wrt the CS branch, almost 50 percent of the students get high paying jobs in Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. The highest package was 18 LPA, the lowest was 3.5. Almost all the companies offered the role of Software Developer to us. Internships are typically low as most of the students focus on research projects with in-house faculty. Still, a few students went for internships in TC...
Placements: Placement is average in my department. Out of 29 students 16 were placed in our department. But many of them goes for higher studies. The highest salary offered was around 6 lacs and the lowest salary offered was around 3 lacs and average salary is about 3.6 lacs per annum. Companies like hilti, L&T, Spcl, Simplex, Itd cementation, Some coaching institute also offered jobs like pathfinder has placed one student from our department. There is a placement cell. It is good.
Placements: There is no such thing as placements for students in the Arts departments. Engineering department gets placement opportunities, and they do have a semi-centralised placement body. The rest of the collegd lacks a centralised placement body and hence after completion of Masters very few get placement opportunities, but those too are mostly based on personal/semi-personal contacts.
Placements: 45 students are present in our final year. Nearly about 35 students got placed till now. The highest salary offered is 17.5 Lacs per year, the lowest salary is 6 lakhs per year, and the average salary offered is 8 Lacs. TCS, PDCL, BPCL, Texas Instrumentation, etc., offer placements. 20% of the students got the internship.
Placements: For the 2016 batch, placements in the core were around 70%. Overall placements including IT were around 98%. Some PSUs like IOCL, BPCL, visited our campus. Among core companies, Siemens, L&T, Tata Metaliks, CESC, RIL, Line BOC, Bechtel, Rocktel Automation, Bluestar, ITC, PSPD, and many more participated in the campus recruitment process. IT companies included Infosys, Accenture, IBM, TCS. Please note that I have detailed the campus recruitment specifically to the electrical engineering departme...
Placements: Students got job in IT, pharma sectors. Many students decided to go for higher studies, and now they are scientists. Few students did m. pharma and now doing Ph.D. 80% students were placed, and around same % for previous senior batches from on & off-campus. The highest salary offered was 5 lac, the lowest 2 lac per annum, and average 3 lac per annum. Accenture, Cts, Wipro, Few pharma companies (Abbott etc. ). Visited the campus. Role of associate software engineer in IT, quality Assurance/analys...
Placements: The highest salary offered since three years was 9 lacs per annum. The placements are not good. I don't think that the money they charge for the college is worth the facilities they provide. So, it is mainly for the high-level students. The fees are too high, and internship which the college provides is for one month, and now you think, how much will you learn in one month.
Placements: Placement of my batch was better than that of my senior batches. 30 out of 38 students of my batch has got placed and 2 - 3 companies are yet to visit. Average package is around 4.8 LPA with the highest package being 7.95 LPA and the lowest 3.3 LPA. Major companies:Maruti, Vedanta, Hexagon AB, Tata Metaliks, TIL, ZS Associates, Bridge i2i, Bajaj auto, Hitachi, Crompton Greaves, HSBC etc. Major roles offered were : Graduate Engineer Trainee, Analyst, Data Analyst, Software Analyst etc. Overall pl...
Placements: Placements are many from our batch and senior batch. Percentage of students places is 40 percentage. The highest is 10 lacs, the lowest 4 lac, average is 5 to 6 lacs. All big companies are visiting like Tata steel, Lays, Mahindra, Goldsmith, Relaince, ICICI banks, loda, Itc, Britannia, pitangli etc. Role is dependent upon the students I means which type of Field is specialised. Like leadership, management Hra etc. Percentage of internship is 70 percentage. The highest is 20 k, the lowest is 5k a...
Placements: The average package was 3.5 LPA. The core companies like MND, L&T, SPCL, Simplex, PCBL, Mu-sigma, Jacob, Afcons, Tata project etc. The highest package was 7 LPA. Non-core companies like Capgemini, Pradan TCS, Infosys, Bridge i2i, Hexagon. The average package was 3.5 LPA. 50% of the students are placed in core companies, and 30% of the students are placed in non-core companies.
Placements: Well ! Placement in my campus is quite bad. To my senior batch 3-5 students appeared for and get jobs in private mnc's firms. Jadavpur University the worst side can be treated as the Science faculty though the coming and past batch doing well. One of Ph.D. Mr debmalya qualified for post doctoral fellowship ISI. Beside this the "tequip" placement cell is self adorable and pride. Recruitment from companies like as wipro, tcs, ITC came last year. Lack of internship and stipend is though good enough...
Placements: Placement for civil is not satisfactory. Nearly 50-60% were placed this year, but placement in core companies was very few. Package offered was low around 3-4 lacs on average, 5-6 being maximum. Same scenario was observed for past 2-3 years. Placement cell is there in the college. Professors over there may help you getting the internship.
Placements: The placement of JD BIRLA is very good. They keep hunting for places until each girl gets its utmost priority. 100% placement guarantee. I have been placed and offered job from the same place where I did my internship. The salary of each firm depends on its scale. Referring to the lowest 7k and the highest to 10k while being a fresher. The godrej interior, rupandah shah and associates, saha and saha. And many more companies do visit us in our campus. The basic role of students offered were autoc...
Placements: Jadavpur University produces students with great academic and professional skills which always help them to get proper placements. Various core companies and also non core companies visits jadavpur university to incruit students from different departments. Most of my seniors got placements in different companies with handsome packages. I can aasure you there is a lot of opportunities to start your professional career by getting a job in the on campus placements after completing the course curric...
Placements: Placement at jadavpur university vary from department to department, in CSE and IT is excellent, companies like Flipkart, Amazon, Visa, Snapdeal and many more comes. In electronics the placement is great with many core and IT sector companies visiting. And the core EE and ME have more placement in core companies like Maruti, TATA, hundai TISCO, Vedanta, cese, semiens royal Enfield etc. Placement percentage for CS and it are more than 100 with students getting more than one offer in core also th...
