Placements: The Jadavpur University is well-known for its placement. Either its CSE or core branches like mechanical, electrical or civil, or other branches, almost everyone gets placed in reputed companies. The average salary offered is quite high for CSE and IT students. The average package offered is 6 LPA.

Placements: This year, the placements of my senior batch are better than the previous year. In a batch of 105 students, 63 students have been placed in the core ( and almost 10 in mass recruiter companies) till now, and the number is still increasing. Many good companies like Reliance, Siemens, PWC, Bajaj, LNT, Tata Metallics, Vedanta etc. came for the recruitment on our campus. Most of the students placed have been offered CTC greater than 6 LPA. The highest package offered in our department is CTC of 8.5 ...

Placements: Well, this truly depends on the engineering branch you are pursuing. CSE always has a boom here with students getting an average package of more than 12 lacs per annum. Branches like civil, chemical, production have a pay package from 4-8 lacs per annum. The starting salary doesn't matter. You should first get a good exposure.

Placements: This year almost 60% of the final year students got placed in various companies whether 4 months are remaining there for ending the academic year. TCS and Infosys drive follows a mass recruiting process and also, they took a total of 220 students. Besides these companies, Bridge i2i, HSBC, Coal India, Cognizant, Amazon, Microsoft also recruited students here.

Placements: As far as the placements from EE are concerned, the packages don't go as high as CSE or ETCE. The average goes around 5-6 LPA in the core industries. (PSUs excluded) Siemens, CESC, are the two most popular recruiters from here, but if you want to apply for non-core companies, you can certainly attempt, provided you have an interest and good knowledge. ATIT also visits for non-core companies. Sem results won't matter, but it is not so for the core ones. I hope this would help.

Placements: The placements were good for CSE branch. From CSE, at max, all the students were placed. The highest salary offered for CSE was Rs. 36 lakhs. The minimum salary offered is Rs. 6 lakhs and the average salary offered is Rs. 14 lakhs to Rs. 15 lakhs for CSE department. Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Samsung, Jio, Goldman Sachs, G Digital and almost all the other companies visited the campus for the placement. They visited for the internship also. Placements: The placements have always been good at Jadavpur University, especially for computer science department. Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung and several other MNCs come every year to hire software developers. Mahindra, Tata, L&T and several other core companies come every year to hire engineers from the core department namely electrical, mechanical, civil, chemical. Internships are offered to pre-final year students. The stipend varies from company to company. The placement cell takes care of everything....

Placements: The college provides more than 50% placement in good companies like Wipro, Amazon, Godrej and so on, to students who are interested in working. Companies like Wipro also provide a certificate in MBA degrees, if one works with the company for at least two years, and even promote the employee on the basis of their merit.

Placements: There is no placement option after completing B.Sc course. No one is placed after B.Sc in the science stream. After M.Sc, some companies recruited us like Vedanta who gives 7.95 Lacs salary. 6 out of 31 students were placed in this company. There is no arrangement for the internship.

Placements: As far as the placements are concerned, being one of the pioneer colleges in India, it is extremely good. A lot of companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Goldmann Sachs, Samsung, Salesforce, Adobe, etc. comes for campusing. There are internships and FTE opportunities available. There is 100% placement, and the placement cell is well-organised and works dedicated.

Placements: There is a separate placement drive in place for such issues. A considerable proportion of the batch which is supposed to complete their post graduation in 2018 has already been placed at Star India, Paper True and other well-known organisations and companies. There are also opportunities to be placed in publishing and editing houses all over the city and sometimes in other cities as well.

Placements: The placement was very good in our department. Everyone is helping each other and professors and placement department also help a lot and push us for the placement time. It's a great environment, and I am very lucky to have understanding friends, who support in every step.

Placements: The placements of Jadavpur University is very good. So, our department also not so far in placements. Previous two years 80% of the students got placed from the on-campusing procedure. And the rest went for off-campusing, CAT, higher studies. In this year the campusing is very good till now. The highest salary is 12 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is 6 or 7 LPA. Placements: This year(2017), the placement scenario was good. Approximately, 80% of the students from my department have already placed. Adding to it, the average package goes around ten lacs per annum, which is good. We still have one semester to go and more companies to come. So, overall it satisfied this time. Placements: Our college provides the amazing placements at the good companies to the students, who work hard and score good marks in all the exams. Last year, 5 LPA was the highest placement a student received from my college. I'm proud of this fact. The companies like Deloitte, HCL, and the others have joined hands with J.D. Birla Institute.

Placements: Our college placement cell, as informed by the seniors, isn’t that strong, but definitely, we had companies like HDFC and Wipro coming in to take interns from our college. We have summer internship also for the third year students. There were only a few students who got placements, i.e. 5-10%. The placements and internships were restricted in our college city Kolkata until last year. Definitely, our college is stretching hands to provide the best placements.

Placements: Placements have been good. Till date, 60+ students have got core jobs. The highest package offered was 10 LPA, the lowest was about 3.2 LPA, and the average is around 4.5 LPA to 5 LPA. The core sector companies like Maruti Suzuki, Siemens, L&T and consultancies like PWC visited the campus for placements. Roles were in maintenance, engineering, manufacturing etc. 75+ students were placed in the core sector in the senior batch.

Placements: The placements are really good in BCSE (Bachelor in Computer Science and Engineering) department of JU (Jadavpur University). About 90% of the students get jobs, and others go for higher studies. The average starting pack is around 12 Lacs. The highest package in on-campus may go as high as 48 Lacs per annum. In off-campus, it has gone to 1.15 Crores in Google, Singapore.

Placements: There are no placements to get a job after doing B.Sc course. Studying an honours subject in Science is not like engineering. I can tell it proudly that our university has a good record about the student selected in good higher education from here. Every year, students crack IIT, JAM, TIFR, JEST, etc., competitive exams. The previous year, a student held 1st rank in TIFR exam.

Placements: Most of the tech giants including Microsoft, Amazon, Accenture have arrived every year for placement of every aspiring engineering of the particular batch. Every student with proper quality and qualifications have got at least three job offers. The college provides placement training and provides the environment for the interview before sitting in front of HR and aptitude round.
