This was my experience studying at Karunya University, batch of 2011-2015.
Placements: I studied at the Karunya Institute of Technology and Science, during the year 2011-2015. Students in my batch were around 30, and we had 2 sections. Recruiting companies were Sutherland, Infosys, CPGM, Biocon, TCS, Wipro, etc. The salary packages vary based on the position and roles offered. Most of the companies provided on-board training upon hiring.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities were great, it was well-maintained and clean. There was a shopping center inside the hostel campus for daily essentials. There were multiple food options like juices, snacks, etc., There was a Xerox center, fitness center, and computer center in the hostel.
Faculty: Teacher were supportive and understanding, they all held PhDs and were highly knowledgeable. Teaching quality was good and faculty gave complete time to students. The course is well-developed and captures all the essentials of the subject, which makes the student industry-ready.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture - Batch of 2027

Review of Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences.
Placements: About 30% of students are placed. The highest package is 35000 per month, and the lowest is 15000 per month. Amazon, Infosys, Toyota, Tata, etc. are the top recruiters. 40% of students got internships. Speed management officer, food advisory, agriculture officer, project manager, etc. are some of the top roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: A Wi-Fi facility is provided all over the campus, but when you use it, they watch all your activities over the Internet, and the classrooms are quite good, and the library is very cool and the best place to relax. The quality is very poor, and the food in the mess is very poor, you may find insects in it. They have their own hospital, which is very expensive. Nothing much about games and sports.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable, but not that helpful. The teaching quality is good but not to the top. This course is not that effective for the students future. You will be able to crack some exams with this course knowledge. The semester exams would be difficult for average students. The pass percentage is 60%.
Other: I chose this course because I had a plan to crack UPSC. I thought this would be a bit helpful. There is nothing best in this course. I think this course is enough for this, but they have reduced the subjects or syllabus. No events and no campus crowd can be expected here. No other extracurricular activities are conducted.

B.Tech. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2019

My experience for Karunya Institute.
Placements: Placements were good for IT and other technical courses whereas, for Biotech and Food Tech, it was not great as companies visiting was lower. Recruiting companies for core fields plays quite a role, and the options given to the students are also fewer.
Infrastructure: The hostel was good for stay but not for food. Options for North Indians were quite limited. The university infrastructure is much better as compared to other institutes. Karunya Biotech Department has good laboratories and equipment, which helps the students get hands-on experience in the particular subject.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and supportive. They have good knowledge and experience in the particular field of study. They are all well-versed and experienced in their respective fields. Semester exams are quite good and facilities do help in preparing for the exams. If one is well prepared, it is easier to get through the exams without any backlogs.

B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science - Batch of 2028

Karunya gives importance to spirituality and academics. There is no event or fest like other college
Placements: Nearly 80 percent of students were placed if they don't have arrears in final years. Currently, 30 LPA is the highest package. There are many companies that visit our college for placement purposes. We shouldn't have arrears, and our CGPA must be 7+. Then, internship opportunities are available. Currently, AIDS is an upcoming course. There are lots of jobs, like data scientist, and so on.
Infrastructure: We have lots of labs in our college for digital and programming, and we have an additional subject tableau lab. There are different types of messes. The taste is far better, and we have different types of food. We have many canteens in college as well as in the hostel. The college gives importance to sports and games. Karunya hospital is located near the college, so medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Teachers are very good. Their teaching is better and knowledgeable. They teach slowly and understandably. If we have doubts, teachers teach and make us understand. Artificial intelligence and data science have lots of opportunities all over the country. If we listen in class and study consistently, the semester is very easy.
Other: I chose this college for academics and spiritual purposes. It gives importance to spirituality. We have lots of opportunities in college. We need teachers to guide us at every moment. There are only prayers and events related to prayers.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2024

Great College but Limited Tech Placements in 2024.
Placements: Around 75% of students were placed, though the majority of placements were in business-focused companies rather than tech. The highest package offered in our course was around 9.8 LPA, while the lowest was about 2.5 LPA. Top recruiters included Paytm, Accenture, Deloitte, Protiviti, and Ankercloud. Around 40% of students secured internships at companies like Easy Cloud, Infochord, Enthutech, and American Express. Key roles offered included Python Developer, Data Engineer, Application Package Developer, and Data Analyst.
Infrastructure: Our campus includes several labs and a well-maintained Wi-Fi network, with the library being the most peaceful place on campus. While we lack recreational games and cultural activities, the hostel provides a comfortable stay, and the food is excellent. We also have dedicated study hours from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m., supervised by faculty to maintain focus.
Faculty: The faculty members are helpful, guiding us with demo papers and practical examples. While the course may not make students completely industry-ready, it builds a strong foundation. The pass rate is around 80%, and semester exams are generally challenging, depending on the faculty.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest in electronics, and I’ve gained valuable knowledge on how devices work. Real-time projects could enhance the curriculum. The college hosts "Mega Play," its biggest event, which is a highlight for everyone.

Karunya is know for it’s calm and wonderful environment.
Placements: The placements are great with various core companies coming in like biocon, biozyme, biozeen and Dr. Reddy's. They also offer very good packages and even other companies are willing to take in biotechnology students due to the wide spread curriculum that the department offers.
Infrastructure: The course is well organised to not make the students feel a burdened. The course is structured in such a way that the core subjects are gradually taught with precision and accuracy. The hostel also provides various types of lodging and the food is also great.
Faculty: The faculty is very good and helpful. They clear any doubts brought before them by the students. The curriculum is well revised and after every semester, the students‘ feedbacks are taken to improve both the faculty as well as the subjects. There are 3 internal exams and a major semester examination at the end of each semester.
Other: There is value for the amount of money that they ask to pay for the course as well as the hostel and mess food. There are various hostel programs in our hostel but very less programs are organized in the campus. Though the campus is very strict, it teaches us many things. Karunya cannot be compared to any other college.
