B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2026
Offered by Nirmala College of Nursing, Kozhikode

A good nursing college one must know.
Placements: I am currently a student in this college. In a batch, there are 50 students. There is no college placement. But, it is easier to get a job as a nurse if we graduate from college, according to seniors' experiences. Most students prefer to be staff nurses, but some prefer pursuing an MSc degree.
Infrastructure: The college has its hostel with average facilities. Food in the hostel is good. As per the hostel rules, we should return to the hostel before 6:00 p.m. There is a hospital nearby the hostel, which is a good aspect. They also have other hostels outside the college campus.
Faculty: Teachers in Nirmala College are the best. They are some best lecturers. They teach us in an easily understandable manner. Semester exams are a bit difficult. We follow KUHS University. Faculty members are highly knowledgeable.

B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2027
Offered by JDT Islam College of Nursing

Absolutely satisfied with faculty members, and infrastructure and there way of treating.
Placements: Anyone with good knowledge may be placed as a staff nurse or assistant to a doctor. A training period is required first, and selection is made according to performance during the training period.
Infrastructure: It has good infrastructure and provides a good hostel facility. The food is average, as it is made for the whole JDT campus, but it has a good menu. If you are interested in the arts or sports, you will have the opportunity to participate in SNA programs and KUHS programs. Before that, there will be interesting college programs.
Faculty: The teachers have a lot of experience. The external faculty members are professionals from the IQRAA International Hospital, which is in the same department. Each semester has both positive and negative aspects. The downside is that a huge number of topics have to be studied within six months, although there are fewer subjects.
Other: I'm finding this course very challenging because of the tight schedule. However, our teachers are very helpful and understanding, and the program is well-structured to accommodate our mental health needs.

MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2026
Offered by Government Medical College Kozhikode
2.8
3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty1Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Government medical college Kozhikode a dream college of many students in Kerala .
Placements: About 5000 students are studying in my college for MBBS course alone. We entered through the All India Medical Entrance Exam. Last Kerala rank entered was 333 in 2019, almost 650 plus marks were needed. Other cases like nursing, lab technologies, etc., are available here.
Infrastructure: We have government hostels with good infrastructure. My hostel is like apartments which were for PG students. As our hostels are less, they give us permission to stay in apartments. Therefore, very good facilities with good food and water are also provided, and study areas are present.
Faculty: Teachers are good. But lecture classes are quite boring. Most of us attend class for getting attendance. Lab and workshops are also available. Studying CBME curriculum with lots of clinical practical knowledge is very useful. But the curriculum is exerting too much pressure on us.
Other: My batch is huge with 250 MBBS students. It's boring to study in such a large capacity classroom.

Overall best campus life compared to other nursing colleges.
Placements: The placement rate at our college is about 90% yearly. The monthly salary package offered after recruitment ranges from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 100,000, depending on the role. The top roles guaranteed after graduation are staff nurse, nursing tutor, and doctor assistant.
Infrastructure: The college provides good quality facilities and a comfortable environment for studies. It has Wi-Fi, labs, and a library. Clinical practice is in the reputed Iqraa International Hospital and Research Centre, which is located in Kozhikode. The college canteen and mess are clean and affordable. The college curriculum incorporates sports and other extracurricular activities, especially football, and provides generous time for them.
Faculty: The college is affiliated with KUHS Trissur. The college facilities are well-established and accessible to all students. The faculty members are well-versed in their subjects, and most hold postgraduate or Ph.D. degrees. Semester exams are administered by the university.

It's great to take admission in Mar Baselios Dental College.
Placements: This course is mainly focused on the dental aspect. BDS is a 4.5-year course in Kerala with a 1-year internship. This course also offers PG practice and a good salary. Admission is acquired after allotment, which is based on the NEET examination. A total of 60 students are allotted per batch at Mar Baselios Dental College.
Infrastructure: Mar-Baselios Dental College provides a good and neat infrastructure for students. A well-established library, a well-maintained working space and a special priority for extracurricular activities make the college stand out. Arts, sports, and cultural activities are well conducted.
Faculty: Teachers have good knowledge. The course is under the University of Health and Science, which is located in Thrissur, Kerala. Yearly examinations are conducted and half the mark out of 70 is necessary to pass the examination. Students who fail in more than 2 subjects will be backed for 6 months.
Other: I chose this course since it provides a wide range of knowledge about the most sensitive area of the human body, the moral cavity. The course is quite good but the year-back concept should be dropped since it affects the mental health of students.
