Q:   What is the selection process for B.A. LL.B and what is the minimum KIITEE score required?

A:

The admission process for the B.A. LL.B programme at KIIT School of Law is comprehensive, encompassing various stages to evaluate candidates thoroughly. The first step involves an aptitude test, gauging the applicants' inherent skills and abilities. Following this, a written ability test assesses their written communication and analytical skills. Personal interviews provide a platform for the evaluators to delve deeper into the candidates' motivations and suitability for the program.

Additionally, a group discussion is incorporated to evaluate teamwork, communication, and problem-solving capabilities. Despite the detailed information on these selection components, the official website does not explicitly mention the minimum KIITEE score required for B.A. LL.B admission. However, an interesting aspect is that the programme is open to CLAT rank holders, indicating flexibility in the admission criteria.

This approach suggests that KIIT School of Law values a holistic assessment of candidates, considering various aspects beyond standardized test scores. By extending admission opportunities to CLAT rank holders, the institution acknowledges and welcomes students who have excelled in a widely recognised national law entrance examination.

Overall, the placement cell is bad.
Placements: Training and placement cells don't even take a stand for their students. They feel weak even in front of small companies too. Staff is not even very supportive of the students too. Only a few students get double-digit placement in Lakhs and based too.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but it seems to be good from outside only and the mess food is very poor specially for vegetarian ones. For non-vegetarians it will be okay type and hostel staff is too illiterate too and they seem to be lazy and don't want to work.
Faculty: Faculty members are biased toward Odia students some are good and some are even worse, and they also do their formality. Students spend their whole life learning from YouTube and spending their college life in the library whole night. Some teachers are even supportive.
Other: Crowd is very much and placement is very slow.

Detailed review for KIIT University .
Placements: KIIT placements are decent around 5 to 6 LPA. And for above-average students, it is around 10 to 12 LPA. The highest package of KIIT is 58 LPA this year and 64 LPA was the highest package of the previous year. Over 700+ companies visited the KIIT University.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of KIIT is fabulous with great buildings. There are many campuses, and each campus has its auditorium. There is a large central library with more than 10 floors. It consists of a swimming pool, boxing complex, gym and an indoor stadium hall named Biju PatnIndoor Stadium.
Faculty: The faculty members are quite good and very cooperative with students but when it comes to laboratory faculty members then there is some kind of language barrier. KIIT has 2500+ faculty members who have graduated from IIT, IIM, NIT and other foreign renowned institutions all over the world with the majority of them being Ph.D. holders. Their teaching style is good but some of the faculty members sound a bit off and then the same topics will need self-study.
Other: The institute is fabulous and has a beautiful and lush green campus covering 600 to 700 acres. It consists of many gardens, a sports complex and vast grounds. Here the campus is crowded with almost 5,000 above students enrolled per year in 1st year. The institute conducts great festivals and has many clubs and societies for everyone.

Thriving environment with outstanding infrastructure.
Placements: A minimum number of students are getting placed, while mostly students are still waiting. The highest package is 12 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA in our batch. The company selection process is becoming increasingly tough day by day, so students from non-IT backgrounds face difficulties in getting placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are better than others, including sports, gyms, gardens, libraries where students can read peacefully, and many more opportunities for a successful career. Wi-Fi facility is also available on campus, providing 15 to 20. Almost all students love the campus.
Faculty: Not all teachers are rude; some teachers are very good and soft-hearted. They are serious about our career. However, I don't think students are perfectly ready for the industry because they don't get enough preparation for what an IT company requires. Therefore, students may not have all the necessary information.
Other: Events and fests always happen on time without compromises. The campus crowd is always high, starting from the evening.

Satisfied with whatever college provides and theh are worth the spending for.
Placements: Over 80% students were placed. The highest package was 63lakhs Average- 6.5lakhs The companies that came for placements were Cognizant, Dell, Endurance International Group, etc. Quite a bit of students get internship. While some do prefer spending time to study for further GATE exams. Roles offered are Manager, Assistant Manager, General Manager, Salesman, etc.
Infrastructure: Good Wi-Fi, premium labs, lavish classrooms, big library with nice collection of books. Hostel has quite good facilities and food is sometimes below average though, canteens are good but they are costlier than in general, medical facilities and sports-n-games are top notch here.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable with quite good teaching quality. Curriculum is quite good and nicely made. It depends from person to person, but if regular class notes are followed they are enough to score over 8 and even 9 CGPA.

Satisfactory college, Average Placements, good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: About 80% students were placed this year with good package. The highest package offered was 56 LPA. The lowest package offered was 3.6 LPA. The average package still stood at 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, HCL, TCS, etc. About 60% students got the internship opportunities also.
Infrastructure: The facilities and Infrastructure available for students here is very good. 24x7 high-speed Wi-Fi is provided (although some seats are banned) everywhere in the campus. Classrooms are centrally air conditioned. Library is open for students 24x7 where students can study peacefully. Mess are very clean but the quality of food is average only. So, students are highly depended upon canteens, where good quality food is available. Medical facilities are free of cost for the university students. The university also has many indoor and outdoor stadium for sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are not helpful at all (except some). Teaching quality is also very average. Students have to depend on youtube lectures only to score marks in the exam. Although teachers don't cut marks here. Marking is very lenient here. Difficulty of semester exams is moderate. If students starts to study 1 week before the exams, he/she can easily score good marks. The passing percentage is around 40-45%.
Other: I choose this course (CSE) because it is the top branch. The best thing about the course is that unnecessary things are constantly being removed from the syllabus. Things which can be improved are teaching style, and mess food. There are regular events, fests going on every other week. Campus crowd is very high. Scholarships are provided to top rank holders in the KIITEE exam.

An average college, which I regret joining.
Placements: Placements are average at this college. My brother graduated from here, worked very hard, and still only got a 5 LPA package despite having a 10 CGPA. They claim the average is 14 LPA and the highest is 1.3 CPA, but that isn’t true.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good, laundry service is available, and Wi-Fi works well. However, the college's in-time is very early, and even seniors aren’t allowed any flexibility. Wardens impose fines even for minor issues, which isn’t satisfactory for a hostel. The food in the mess is average.
Faculty: Faculty are said to be among the top 2% globally, and teachers are qualified but very old, so the quality of education suffers. The college ranks NIRF 15 mainly due to K-Innovation, campus, and the area of the university, but placements are lacking.
