The campus is shifted to Tada and from what I hear its quiet spacious and enjoyable environment for study and fun. Even in the Kothari Road campus, Library is the best part for all the book worms. The library has a huge collection of management books and many more (including super-fast internet speed). Library is really good. I am sure there must be a slight change in computer center now but still i would like to highlight some facts that I observed. The computers were very old and had low memory. Great collection in the library, Unique trading floor and excellent internet connections. Unparalleled faculty, great subject knowledge, extremely helpful, brilliant interaction and highly experienced. Decent placements. Average should be around 7 lacs. The infrastructure facilities are good. We have an excellent library and good lecture halls. IFMR has excellent faculty who have excellent subject as well as real world knowledge who are very much updated about the industry standards. The faculty are extremely well qualified and are very approachable. The placements are good. We have had top companies like Crisil, Cognizant, Infosys, UBS, JP Morgan etc visiting the campus. Transportation - we did not have any in old campus. Not sure about the current state but at my time more conference halls and sports/recreational facilities were expected. A separate log for sports equipments can be maintained along with the stock. Wi-fi is always good at IFMR and so is the food. It would be nice if computers are provided in the library to search books and general browsing. We had only one computer for practice. Our faculties are too good. Placements were good for my batch.
