MUHS is a government university. It is one of the top universities for studying both modern medicine methods and Indian Systems of Medicine. The university was established in 1998 by the state [Government of Maharashtra] through an ordinance. MUHS offers undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and Ph.D. courses in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Nursing, and Physiotherapy. The university also offers fellowship, Certificate courses, and UG/PG Diploma courses under various specialisations.

Optometry, Paramedical technology, Nursing, Occupational therapy, etc. are a few of the BSc specialisations offered at MUHS, Maharashtra University of Health Science. Admission to a few of the specialisations is completely merit-based. However, for BSc specialisations such as Nursing admission is completely based on the NEET UG exam. In both cases, candidates must qualify for the BSc eligibility criteria which include twelve years of school education with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology with a minimum of 50% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ST/OBC; 45% aggregate for PWD category candidates) along with English as one of the subjects. And requires candidates to be a minimum age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before December 31 of the year of admission (Request for relaxation from the prescribed age limit will not be considered for any category of applicants. The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has 403 affiliated colleges that offer Dental, Ayurveda, and Medical specialisations. The university offers courses for all levels of study, including undergraduate, postgraduate, doctorate, post-graduate Diploma, undergraduate Diploma fellowship, Certificate and super speciality. The flagship courses of MUHS Nashik are B.Sc. And B.A. MS B.Sc. Course is offered across three specialisations and further into various disciplines through the Department of Medical and Nursing. BSc admission at MUHS Nashik is based on NEET exam. Candidates are required to participate in the NEET counselling 2024 for BSc seat at MUHS. NEET 2024 counselling is expected to begin in the fourth week of July 2024. Candidates who will qualify for the exam by securing the NEET 2024 cutoff marks will be eligible to participate in the NEET 2024 counselling process. NEET counselling process will be conducted in two categories, for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 85 per cent State Quota (SQ) seats. 

To secure BSc seats at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS Nashik), candidates must qualify the NEET 2024 exam. The NEET 2024 exam will be conducted on May 5, 2024. The MD admission process for MUHS Nashik will begin with clearing the NEET-PG exam results.
