It is one of the best private colleges of Pune University. The campus and its infrastructure are the best. The crowd is awesome and the entire area of the college is super. The faculty is also good and college is the heart of the area. The teachers are very motivating and always ready to help others. College gives us the time for other activities too.
Infrastructure:- Campus is situated in a nice location in a Kothrud where climate is mostly humid. Classroom and labs are well equipped. There is lag in hostel facility for boys as it has 60 seats only. Sports facility is quiet okay. Placement :presently highest package is of 16 lakhs per annum and average of 5 lakhs per annum and placement is mainly 95%. Faculty: All faculty members are hard working and cooperative, except 2-3 exceptions.
The campus is really cool and so are the placements (if your aggregate is good). Professors are experienced while some of them are useless. Labs are totally well equipped and infrastructure is really good. The downside is its affiliation with PU. It should've been an autonomous college. 50+ attendance and you're safe. I have spent 4 great years here. If you don't get IITs and NITs, then this is a very decent option.
Placements: The placements offered are more or less dependent on the stream of the engineering. The companies usually arrive for the campus recruitment to hire are computer science students, IT and E&TC students. The job profile is either of a software developer or analyst or any other entry-level jobs. Some big-name companies visited for the campus recruitment are Accenture, Microsoft, Delloite, ZS associates, many other IT and consulting firms. In case of core branches company arriving on campus are prett...
Being a part of Pune University, the studies at MIT were always competitive. Petroleum Engineering is a kind of autonomous course of this college but we got a lot of exposure to the outside world related to our field through seminars, guest lectures, SPR events etc. Despite being the only college offering the course in PU. The faculty of our Petroleum Engineering department is experienced, dynamic and always encourages innovative ideas which can benefit the industry as a whole. But I feel som...
Maharashtra Institute of Technology is one of the most prestigious colleges for engineering and technical studies in Pune. MIT as it is better known comes under Pune University. Maharashtra academy of engineering and educational research founded by DR Vishwanath karad, is the parent body of MIT. The sprawling and huge campus of MIT is situated in Paud road. The college is surrounded by some scenic hills. Paud Road, comes under Kothrud a busy suburb in Pune, but MIT as such has quite a peaceful e...
It is the top private college in Maharashtra. The campus and location are best. The staff, however, is not best but better than other engineering colleges. Fees are too high (thus MIT COE is preferable in this aspect). The campus has all the facilities required. Placements are better than other colleges of Pune University.
MIT has a synergy of science and spirituality. It’s a brand. The college infrastructure is too good and highly maintained. Events such as ROBOCON, IOTA (international conference) are organized every year. It has a nice placement record. The college library, gym, mess, and playground are of a high standard. An event named “Bharatiya Chatra Sensad” (BCS) where young leaders from all over India come and share their views is also organised.
First, the good points:- - You get a lot of exposure. - Ample events to participate in. - The overall environment is good. Now, the bad points:- - Black and red clothing are not allowed. The college is stringent about the dressing sense. They should rather focus on teaching methods. - A huge hype about the attendance. - They don't value students participating in extracurricular activities. Overall, the department as a whole is fine. Some teachers are amazingly supportive. They don't wa...
It is a combination of Indian spirituality and culture and the state of the art education system of India. Sports, cultural and global exposure are good. It could be better. Still, it maintains its standards. Now for the main thing, there should be more time and money invested in research and development. These things are less than acknowledged and there should be significant improvements here.
One of the reputed institutes of the country. The campus, the staff, the hostel, the facilities, placements, etc. live up to the name. The faculty is well educated and learned. The placements are decent. Hostel facility is good. The food served in the cafeteria and mess is above average. Other amenities such as sports, etc. are usual. The crowd is good because it shares the campus with BBA/B.Com colleges under the same trust. Campus life is great.
Maharashtra Institute of Technology, a name which definitely packs a lot of power has shown degradation over time. Before I had joined, our college was always among the top 25 private colleges in India. With time, things have changed, somehow the turn of events has been against the growth and welfare of the institute. Precisely speaking, the petroleum department has been a serious let down. This is obviously related to the severe and sudden downfall in the price of crude oil, leading to next to ...
Good placements record for CS and IT. This is one of the engineering colleges whose name speaks for itself. It has a host of clubs and activities to choose from for all round development, depending on your interests. Robotics, aero modelling, quizzing and debating are just a few of the many activities available.
The infrastructure of the college is very nice. Teaching quality is not that nice. Canteen facility is also not that good. Everything in the canteen is overly priced. Placements are the only thing anyone should join MIT for. There is scope for extracurricular activities and many events take place on the premises.
Talking about Infrastructure, college is spread over a 17-acre area in the heart of the city. Separate buildings for each stream. CS and IT labs are well equipped with the latest technical equipment. A large central library and departmental libraries are available. Well-disciplined and maintained reading halls. The faculty is well experienced; many of them are pretty co-operative. Some companies even provide financial assistance to selected students in MIT that's one of the advantages for the s...
MIT Pune is a really good campus. In the campus, there is good infrastructure, facilities and a very good library. Teachers are really talented and provide enough support to students in various fields. Placements are quite good and are about 80 % every year. Students get good opportunities to convert their classroom learning into practical exposure.

Good - Awesome infrastructure, good brand name, national level events organised. Bad- Faculty members are not up to the mark, affiliated to an ineffective university (University of Pune), a large number of colleges on the same campus which leaves very little space for the engineering college, No major sports complex and pathetic hostel infrastructure. I think a small effort from the management can extrapolate the college into the league of best colleges in India which includes good faculty, effe...
The placement is very good. You get an opportunity for internships. The campus is very nice. Although, the faculty quality needs to be improved. Administration department takes too much time to process your request. Campus culture is very nice. You get to celebrate major festivals and some events like tech fest and cultural fest with a very energetic and young crowd.
