B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2027

A best college for engineers.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed in mechanical engineering at MNNIT, Allahabad. The highest salary package offered is 64 crore per annum, in 2025. Top recruiting companies are TVS, Oracle, Big Basket, Zomato, etc. Top roles offered in our courses are power plant engineer and designer.
Infrastructure: In our hostel, there is a Wi-Fi network and Wi-Fi labs, air-conditioned classrooms, good library, playground, gym and auditorium in our college. The quality of the food is good in mess and canteen. There is a personal hospital, and there are many sports clubs and committees.
Faculty: Teachers are highly educated who done Ph.D. from IITs and foreign universities. Course curriculum is good. Semester exams have very high standards according to engineering students, and a very good quality of education is provided.
Other: Supportive seniors and facilities available create a good environment for creative technologies and startups. There are many events organized by colleges and students.

It has very good infrastructure and facilities, and the college campus is the best.
Placements: In our college, near about 91 percent of students are placed in the mechanical engineering course. The highest package is around 55 Lakh, and the lowest is 13 Lakh. For our course, many companies come like Amazon and Yahoo. I think 92 percent of students got internships this year.
Infrastructure: College facilities and infrastructure are very good here. In our course, the mathematics faculty is the best here. There is an extraordinary library. Also, there is a very good hostel for the students, and in the hostel, good food quality is provided for the students.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is the best. Yes, the course curriculum is almost relevant, making students ready for the industry. The end-semester exams in our college are a little bit tough, but the pass percentage is good.
Other: I chose this course because being a mechanical engineer is my passion. I want to know about the machines.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2026

Everything is fun except studies.
Placements: 42% for batch 2026 is the percentage of electrical engineering. The highest package was 56 LPA and the lowest package was 8 LPA. Microsoft, Adobe, and Texas Instruments are some of the top recruiting companies. 10% of the of the internships were given to the electrical batch by Microsoft. SDE1 is the highest-ranking role offered.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very small and the facilities provided are very old, like lab instruments. Wi-Fi works mostly everywhere but not in class. Classes are very old. The library is good for self-study; it have good number of seats. Rooms are very small for 2, 3, and 4 years.1st years have big room but have 3 people in it. All room have LAN port too. Mess food is very bad, having no taste. No non-vegetarian food is given, and we have to eat it outside outside college. Medical facilities are good and open 24/7. We have a lot of space for games like cricket, basketball, squash, running, etc. Even TT tables are available.
Faculty: Teaching quality is not good at all. Every professor is qualified but they don't know how to teach. The students are supposed to be industry-ready according to the new curriculum but actually they are not. Exams are very difficult, even if you study. Professors give very low marks.
Other: I got this course and college in my NTA college selection round. Everything should be improved. The last techno-cultural FEST was awesome. Mohit Chauhan came and we had a very fun event.

Great college with amazing placements and experienced faculty members.
Placements: Placements in the college are very good. The average package in 2024 was around 19 lakhs, and the highest was 71 lakhs. Over 250 companies visit the campus for placements. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Airtel, Qualcomm, Cisco, Flipkart, Sony, Amazon, etc. The overall placement record is great.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is fine. Classrooms and labs have air conditioning. All classrooms have smartboards for digital teaching via PPTs and animations. Wi-Fi is available in labs as well as in the library and the hostels. Speed of Wi-Fi is above 400Mbps. Hostels have good infrastructure. Mess food is also fine and has a great variety. Sports facilities are great. Canteen and cafes are also there on the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are really experienced and helpful. They encourage students to understand the concept rather than mugging up just for exams. They use PPTs and animations for enhanced visualisation of different typical topics. Labs are good, and instruments work fine. The course curriculum is relevant, and students can expertise themselves in the core easily by studying the course properly. It makes the students ready for placements in the top companies in the industry. Semester exams are of a good level and test your concepts thoroughly. The passing percentage is good.
Other: The campus life is fine. You can enjoy your time around with your friends on campus at the cafes and different food corners. You can play different sports like badminton, cricket, hockey, football, kho-kho, basketball, volleyball, etc.

MNNIT Allahabad, good Placement, but lacks Infra.
Placements: The majority of the students eligible for placement get placed (97-98%). The only thing good about the college is probably the placements. The highest was roughly 87 LPA, and before that, it was 1.35 crores. The lowest is 6 LPA, and the median is 17 LPA. Median is even better for CSE.
Infrastructure: So, the Institute infrastructure is bad, it is old, labs are old with worn-out materials, Wi-Fi is good, and the library is also very good. But classrooms need renovation. This is especially considering this college was started in 1961, and many buildings haven’t been renovated in a long time.
Faculty: Faculty are like any other engineering college, useless, so my rating is not based on the faculty but on the course curriculum. The administration keeps updating the curriculum for new technology, and unlike many other colleges, 1st-year students of CSE do not have to study many subjects from other branches like civil and mechanical.

Life at MNNIT has been a turbulent one but what can be done. It's not that bad .
Placements: Internship opportunities are available in the third year but aren't very common or large in number. Last year, there were 150 people who got internships out of a 1000-person batch. The top recruiting companies at our college are Microsoft, Atlassian, Goldman Sachs and a few others. The average package is around 1100000 and the highest has been 1.18 crore.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are there for boys and girls separately but the number of hostels for girls is sufficient. Mess food differs according to the mess but overall, it is average if rated. The Wi-Fi facility is not very good sometimes.
Faculty: The teachers are interested in teaching. The semester is hard to keep up with; it depends on the branch, though. Overall, the course is difficult to medium, with frequent assignments assigned to us. The exams are conducted fairly. The course curriculum is relevant, I would say.
Other: There was no particular reason for choosing this course; it was distributed based on JEE scores but now that I have joined it, there are interesting things to learn and a whole new experience.
