MSU, Baroda, has good infrastructure and courses.
Placements: Our university has a very good placement cell, that is for students, by students and for the betterment of students. The placements are good with good packages. The dean is associated with the placement cell, and he works hard to bring companies to campus.
Infrastructure: Our university has 14 faculty members and 3 colleges. It has 17 buildings with good infrastructure. They are magnificent in terms of infrastructure, department and facilities. Our university has a good hostel.
Faculty: Our faculty are very good in our university. The curricular activities help students grow and evolve in life. Our college's exam system is good, as we can get good skills from practical examinations and theoretical examinations.

MSU is one of the prestigious institutes with better placement results. It is highly recommended.
Placements: In the course of B.Sc geology, students have to pass out 12th standard with about 55% in PCM or PCB subjects. In the placement fair, more than 10 companies are recruiting like Mahindra Finance, Zydus Hospira Oncology, HT Media, etc. Students who scored a minimum of 50% can appear in placement interviews.
Infrastructure: The geology department is large, with almost every useful book and lab facility with all kinds of specimens and equipment. There is free Wi-Fi for the whole MSU campus. The hostel also has medical and gym facilities.
Faculty: All faculty members are very supportive, and they all have done a masters degree in their field. They all are extremely knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is very entertaining and understandable. Each student must do an internship in at least one company, so it won't be difficult to do a job for freshers. For me, difficulties are average in semester exams, and the pass percentage is above 70%.
Other: I have chosen this course because geology looks at some of the most important issues in society today, including energy sources and sustainability, climate change, the impacts of developments on the environment, water management, mineral resources and natural hazards. There is currently a shortage of well-trained geoscientists, and the demand is growing. Our department also hosts Geo Festival, science fair and scholarship programs.

There are very good placements in MSU.
Placements: Many students were placed in placements. About 80% of the students got placed in ONGC, BPCL, HPCL, L&T and many more companies. Many companies participate in placements, or many students take part in placements. So, I think placements are very good, and the benefits are more.
Infrastructure: Very good quality food is served here. There are well hostel rooms and facilities. Hostels have very good infrastructure, and there is a clean and good quality garden. There is a low fee for the hostel, and there are not any complaints about the hostel. There is a very good Wi-Fi connection and a good library. The lab facilities are good, and there is no compromise on providing any study material.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good and are very friendly. They support us. The green project provided is good, and water management is also good.

I am satisfied with good and experienced faculty members and environment.
Placements: Our university provides many placements and internship programs based on student qualifications. For geology, top companies like ONGC, OIL, etc., offer placements, and most of them are placed aboard. Based on student performance university decided the post in the company.
Infrastructure: Our department has a good natural atmospheric environment with Wi-Fi, practical labs, two libraries for all courses, and all other facilities, Hostel serves good food with good, neat, and clean rooms. College gives pavilion for sports and a health center. Different departments have different canteens with all facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and experienced. It benefits students to grow their personal as well as professional skills. Exams are based on a course with understanding the student's difficulty levels. The passing percentage is 40%. The instructions in exams are very strict.

Overall, it is a decent university.
Placements: Since I changed my subject altogether after the bachelor's, I cannot comment much about the placements. I don't have any experience with geology-related placements. I heard from many seniors that about 30-40% of the students got placed after their PG. Most of the students got employed through GATE and GSI. Placements are not different in most universities offering geology-related courses except one or two IITs and BHU. GATE exam is the only usable option geology students have. Private company-related jobs are not expected since geology is a shrinking field due to the unstable oil market. So the only option PG students are left with is to work hard for GATE or GSI, or else they will be left with very little to no job opportunities. So when it comes to Geology, the college doesn't matter much, unless and until you are from ISM Dhanbad or BHU. Placements for geology-related courses is almost the same in all the colleges in India.
Infrastructure: Being a local student, I didn't stay in the hostel. Most of the students of other states residing in the hostels are pretty much satisfied. Labs are well-equipped. The campus offers a decent Wi-Fi facility, but the speed drops sometimes. The quality of the food served in a mess is not bad. The campus has a national renowned HSM library, and it has a very rich collection of books.
Faculty: All the faculty members are PHD holders in their respective fields except two teachers who are pursuing it. They are amazingly learned. They are always available when a student has any doubts about getting resolved. The course curriculum is designed to prepare all the students for various geology-related entrance exams like GSI and GATE.
Other: The campus life is amazing. Fests are organised in November. Fests offer a good platform for all the students to showcase their talents. A student studying here is ensured to love these moments for years to come. The geology department organises the fest named Ignite annually, which includes many geology-related events along with some athletic events.
