The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore is likely to declare the results of NLAT 2020 on September 16. Candidates appearing for the examination will be able to check their qualifying status through NLAT 2020 results. The exam authority will publish the results only after the final answer key is published. NLSIU Bangalore will take due care in the preparation of results of NLAT 2020 and merit list. How to check NLAT 2020 results?

Candidates will be able to check their results for NLAT 2020 as per the simple steps below: 

  1. Visit the official website of NLAT 2020 - admissions.nls.ac.in/ and the result link will be given on the homepage
  2. The result login page will open up and, candidates have to enter their registration ID and password to proceed
  3. The scorecard of NLAT 2020 mentioning qualifying status, marks, and rank will be given on the screen 
  4. Candidates can save the scorecard and download it for admission procedure. 

The exam authority will also send merit lists for each category for seat allotment and counselling to the registered email address of the candidates.

NLAT 2020 result details and tie-breaking methods

The result of NLSIU Bangalore entrance exam will mention the following: 

Personal details of the candidate - Name, gender, roll number, application ID, photograph, signature, and caste-category 

  • Qualifying status in NLAT 2020 
  • Scores obtained in each section of NLAT 
  • Overall scores in the exam 
  • Merit rank obtained in the exam 

There will be no sectional cut off for NLAT 2020 an, no minimum marks have been mentioned for the exam. Candidates will, however, be informed about the aggregate marks of the last admitted candidates, which will be considered as cut off for admission. In case of ties in marks of two or more candidates in the same category, the merit list of NLAT 2020 will be prepared as under: 

  1. Higher marks in the Legal Reasoning section will be given preference
  2. Higher marks in the overall examination will be given the next preference
  3. Finally, the computerised draw of lots will be done to shortlist the candidates

This will be the final merit list and, admission will be final for those paying the admission fee for the course.
