    A:

Is B.E./B.Tech at NRTI a Good Choice?

While NRTI's placement record is not outstanding, with only 6070 students placed in B.Tech this year, the highest package is around INR12 lakhs, and the average package is around INR5 lakhs. Most companies, including L&T, Shree Cement, and RailTel, visited for placements.

    * Infrastructure: Although the campus is still under construction, the facilities are considered good, with air-conditioned classrooms, laboratories, and hostels. The campus has a mix of indoor and outdoor sports facilities, a swimming pool, and a lush green environment.
    * Faculty: Teachers and professors at NRTI are highly qualified from top institutions like IIT, IIM, and foreign universities. They are experienced, masterful, and have doctorates in their respective fields.
    * Curriculum: The course structure is modern and relevant, focusing on both soft and technical skills. The curriculum is well-planned and follows a trimester pattern with a point system.
    * Internship Opportunities: Almost all students get internships, providing industrial exposure and experience. Internships are offered by reputed organizations like Indian Railways, IRCTC, Siemens, and rail-developing companies.
    * Placement Prospects: While placements may not be exceptional, BSc and BBA graduates have been placed with salaries ranging from INR3-10 Lacs per annum, with an average package of INR5-6 lakhs.

Overall, while NRTI's B.E./B.Tech programme has some drawbacks, the institution's strong faculty, modern infrastructure, and emphasis on practical experience might make it a good choice for those interested in pursuing a career in railway infrastructure and transportation.

Note: Since the B.Tech programme is still in its early stages, it is difficult to assess its full potential. However, the feedback from students and alumni suggests that NRTI has the potential to become a leading institution in its field.

National Rail and Transportation Institute, Ministry of Railways - A Hidden Gem.
Placements: In 2024, 92% students were placed from the Civil Engineering branch and 88% students were placed from the Electronics & Communication Engineering branch. Since these were the only two branches graduating in 2024, there is no data for other branches. The lowest package offered was 3.5 Lacs to 4 Lacs, and the highest package offered was more than 9-9.5 Lacs. Top PSUs like DFCCIL and RITES and also premier private companies like Aditya Birla came to our campus for placements. Maximum core company roles were offered to the students in the placement session of 2024.
Infrastructure: There are air conditioners, geysers, washing machines, and personal bathrooms for every student in our college. Every room has Wi-Fi, which provides us high-speed internet. Our classrooms and libraries are equipped with air conditioners and Wi-Fi to ensure comfort and connectivity. We have a world-class mess facility serving us four delicious meals a day with varying cuisines. There are badminton courts, basketball and volleyball courts, a football field, and a cricket field on our campus.
Faculty: We have two types of faculty members: Permanent and Temporary. All our permanent faculty members are Ph.D. holders from IITs and NITs. All our visiting faculty members are currently permanent faculty members of premier institutions like NIT Surat, IIT Madras, and IIT Delhi. The teaching quality is fantastic, ensuring we gain proper knowledge about the subject. Our course curriculum is industry-relevant, so landing a job will not be difficult for us in the future. There are two examinations for the students in a semester: Midsems (25 marks) and Endsems (50 marks), which are not so difficult to pass if you have studied thoroughly throughout the year, and thus, nearly everyone passes.
Other: I chose this course because of its unique specialization in Railway Engineering. There are three fests in our college: Agnee (Cultural Fest), Ojasaya (Sports Fest), and Epitome (Tech Fest). There is also a scholarship facility for deserving students.

One of the best transportation college which will give competition to NITs in upcoming years.
Placements: It's a new college that just started recently. Even though it's new, more than 200 companies have already visited for providing placements. We have an MOU signed with Airbus, one of the biggest companies in the aviation industry. I believe that more companies will visit in the future with even better offers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at NRTI is really beautiful. There are different kinds of beautiful places on campus, from the greenery to the historic buildings. The hostels provide the best facilities, even compared to many famous colleges.
Faculty: The faculty at NRTI are highly educated, and all are IITians. They provide the best knowledge and guidance to every student. They provide the best notes, which are even capable of helping students crack the GATE exam. The syllabus is completed 90% by the end of the third year.
Other: NRTI has many clubs that organize activities every month. One of the most popular is the cultural fest, Agni. Agni gives every student a chance to show off their talent and enjoy themselves to the fullest.

A good university possesses significant potential for further development.
Placements: Gati Shakti University placement is not that good. Only 60–70 students are placed in B.Tech. this year. The highest package is around 12 Lacs. And average would be around 5 Lacs. Most companies, like L&T, Shree Cement and RailTel, came for placements. If you talk about internships, 100 percent of students get them.
Infrastructure: The institute is under construction so first-year boys right now get a hostel outside campus. But girls get hostels inside university premises. As this is a government college, you get freedom in your college life. You can roam around the college until 11 pm .
Faculty: Some faculty are really helpful, but most are not bearable. A strict 75 percent attendance policy is a major concern. But when you talk about curriculum, its great and relevant. The difficulty of the semester exam is solely determined by the professor who prepares the paper.

Here I will recommend this college to you guys if you have the interest to do something different.
Placements: Here At National Rail and Transportation Institute (Now GSV) have very good placement opportunities. For previous records, BBA&B.Sc students got placed at an average of 5 LPA and got the highest 10 LPA & also you can check a website where 100% MBA&M.Sc students also got placed.
Infrastructure: If here we talk about infrastructure it is not to God here but I can say that it is not also too bad here. NRTI (now GSV) have all types of the laboratory on campus. But they don't have enough space for activities all are acquired NAIR. But I can assure you that this institute has very good greenery across the campus.
Faculty: NRTI (now GSV) has very well-trained and experienced faculty which I can rate 5/5. Here, during our semester all faculty members are IITians and have had a very good experience. If we talk about Curriculum & Exam Earlier NRTI (now GSV) follows the trimester system but now it follows a Semester system.

Big Brand Name and unique course .
Placements: Placements depend on the students. the college is doing its best to provide placements. About 7-8 students were placed out of 50, with the highest package of about INR 15 Lacs. Many companies from the transport sector visit our campus to offer placements.
Infrastructure: Some students live on the campus, but one building is outside the campus. The hostel is of the best quality in the country. The hostel consists of AC, decent Wi-Fi, and daily housekeeping services, but on a triple sharing basis. College provides a subscription to the NAIR library also.
Faculty: The course structure of the college is the best and most modern, and the faculty members who take the course are the best/expert in their domain. The best part is that the college course structure focuses on soft and technical skills. It is quite easy to pass the exams if you attend all the classes easily.

This is a unique college in India.
Placements: In mechanical, civil, and electronic and communication, all students are placed, while in AIDS, placement will be done in 2027. The highest placement is 13 Lacs, while the middle is 5-6 Lacs and the lowest is of 3 Lacs. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Siemens, Airbus, Wipro, L&T, etc. Including the course helps to understand how Indian Railways works.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is well-designed. It has a highly integrated library, high-tech and digital classrooms, along with equipped Physics and Chemistry labs and a computer lab. The hostels are very good and provide a bed and an almirah with the room with the AC, and in each, two students are kept. The food quality is good and hygienic. No canteen facilities or medical facilities are available. Sports condition is not so good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and are well-qualified as they are from IITs. Teaching skills are very good. Yes, the course is relevant as the name of the college suggests: Rail University, so rail education. The college follows a relative grading system. Semesters are even and odd, while odd is to be considered a little bit harder. The pass percentage is to get 40 marks in all subjects out of 100 marks.
Other: I chose this course to get insight knowledge about how railways function and work, and the role of AI in rail. I will improve the sports facilities and sports tournaments, etc. The annual event is called "Agni," while the tech fest is called Epitome. The crowd is less in amount. Connectivity is all the ways, including air, bus, and train. The college provides three types of scholarships, including financial aid, Siemens, and Airbus, and regular debate quizzes happen in college.
