Branch is new and more industry centric. You get equally opportunity in PSU and IT field.

Placements: The percentage of students who got placed is above average. If you have potential, then surely, you get a chance. The coding culture is average in our college. You get time in this branch for coding. You can also target PSU. Internship programme is average. You get a chance but you have to work hard.

Life, placements, infrastructure, facilities, feels, and many more about NIT Silchar.

Placements: Placements are good in NIT Silchar. I am from the Electrical Engineering department. Around 88% of students from our department got placements last year. This year, a package of 64 LPA has been offered to a student who belongs to our department (it was offered by Google). Students get placements in both core and coding fields. Normally, coding sector placements offer more money. In the case of internships, a lot of students get internships in various core and tech companies such as Microsoft, ON...

In our college, pre-placement offers are also there. Mechanical and civil branch placements are slightly unsatisfactory.

The college is amazing.

Placements: My college and my branch have incredible placement statistics. Last year, as other colleges were struggling with declined placements, my branch could still produce the highest percentage in my college, 78%, with a maximum of 60 LPA and a minimum of 15 LPA. PSUs and HPCL also give placement to my course. Top roles include software engineer, core instrumentation engineers, HPCL offices, etc.

Placements: In civil engineering, 70% of eligible students get job offers. The highest package is 28 LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA. I cannot reveal company names. Internship opportunities with stipends are very few. You may get research internships at IITs, which do have stipends. Graduate engineer trainee is a common role.

Every student must complete an internship at the end of the 6th semester, which is compulsory. However, if one wishes, they can pursue other internships on their own.

A leading technical institution known for academic excellence, Research and campus life.

Placements: NIT Silchar is among the top 10 NITs in India. Here, the placement ratio is excellent. In my branch (CSE), up to 100% of students are placed in campus placements, and the packages given by the companies are very good. The highest package is approximately 82 LPA, and the average package is 18-20 LPA. So this is not a bad package for freshers. Many MNCs are recruiting, like Microsoft, Wipro, Cisco, Atlassian, Samsung, Amazon, etc. So overall, NIT Silchar is best for making your career the best.
