Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

The Launchpad for success .
Placements: 91.8% of students were placed in 2023 in ECE. The highest package was 52.8 LPA, the lowest package was 5 LPA, and the average package was 17.05 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, Swiggy, etc. Approximately 41% of students got internships in companies like Microsoft and Swiggy.
Infrastructure: There are digital labs for ECE, and Wi-Fi is available inside the labs. The labs have CCTV cameras for safety and protection of the devices. There are plenty of rooms for our department. We have Asia's biggest library at NIT Silchar. The hostel is decent. The mess is also decent, and it has a variety of dishes on the menu. We have a health center for students and an ambulance service. There is a sports complex and a playground for sports.
Faculty: The professors are highly qualified. They help students in every aspect, whether academic or personal. The course curriculum is, of course, relevant. Our HOD sir personally guides students in making projects. The semester exams are moderate. One can score well if they study even 1 week before the exam.

Very good placements, nice campus life, nice faculty, infrastructure needed to be renovated, etc.
Placements: In our college, around 75% of students are placed in college. The highest salary package offered is 52.89 LPA and the average salary package offered is 13.34 LPA. Top recruitment companies in our college are Google, Microsoft, amazon, etc. Cons of our college are very less students got an internship.
Infrastructure: Facilities in our college of Wi-Fi, labs are below average. Wi-Fi speed in our hostel is very low and sometimes it cuts off. Classrooms are also below average and non-air conditioned classrooms. Mess food is very bad for first year and decent scope for sports, games, and medical fitness.
Faculty: Course curriculum is very old, so It needed to be renovated. But, teachers are very helpful, and they also mentorship us in positive way. Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. In this college, exams are uneven and it anytime can happen so it becomes hectic. College has pointer system.
Other: I need computer science course that is why I chose this college and computer science line is aggressively growing line. Teaching the real-world things about our course is needed to our course. Events, fests, campus crowds, connectivity, and all things are very nice.

Review of NIT Silchar College.
Placements: In NIT Silchar, placement opportunities are decent. This year, the average placement offered in electrical engineering was around 12 LPA CTC, and the highest package offered was around 52 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Paytm, HCl, Byju's, Microsoft, etc. This college is good for the IT sector and decent for core branches in terms of placement.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so good in NIT Silchar. Some newly made buildings like New Gallery, Library, and the admin building are good, including some newly made hostels like Aryabhatta (for 1st years) and BH9. But most of the infrastructure is outdated as NIT Silchar is an old institute started from 1967.
Faculty: Faculty are not so good, especially in my branch electrical engineering. But some faculty members of other branches are good and friendly. Curriculum is good, it's not too hectic. In exam time, you may feel pressure due to a lot of exams like mid-sem, minor test, endsem, assignments, etc.

It is the genuine review of NIT Silchar.
Placements: Placements of my college are really very good. The percentage of placement is 95% around and package of all branches is very good in the CSC branch. The highest salary package offered is 82 LPA and the average salary package offered is 24 LPA. Whereas the average salary package of ECE branch is 18 LPA which is very good. Student gets intensive in second year third year as well which is paid internship. Students got placed in many companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple Infosys, and many famous companies. Overall placements of my college are excellent.
Infrastructure: Basically, in my hostel all facilities are available. All important things are available like Wi-Fi, LAN ports, and 24 24-hour electricity table. Cleaning facilities are very good and every two days. Clean up the corridors which I found very appreciable. But I don't like the quality of food because I belong to other states. So prefer more to non vegetarian or they make some vegetables which I don't like as they have very low spice in vegetables. That is one thing I don't like. Classrooms are very clean but for the first-year classrooms are not that good. But for third-year students, they are well-developed and clean. There are no air conditioners in the classrooms.
Faculty: Teachers are very good. They help us in how to handle things, how to study, and how to manage time. They also shared their mobile numbers and said we can call them about anything related to the curriculum whenever we needed, and I like this most.

Pleasurable place with lush green, nature beauty, and good infrastructure in academics.
Placements: The placements percentage of my college is good and it is 60% -70% in my course. The highest salary package offered is 52 LPA. The average salary package offered is 13.34 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 10 LPA. Recruitment companies are Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Oracle, Samsung, TCS and many more.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is very good and well-developed. All department buildings are built with good design. There are so many labs that are CC lab, physics lab, electrical lab, and so many. Classrooms are well and can occupy 80 students and some classrooms are of big size. Library is best part of my college and it's Asia's biggest library provided with good Wi-Fi connection. Hostel facilities are so good and Mess food is on average level. Sports facilities are very well, cricket, football ground, tennis court, badminton court and so many.
Faculty: Faculty members of my college are well educated from top universities in India. They are very helpful to everyone in academics as well as non-academic problems. Their teaching style is so good. Course curriculum is relevant for students and it make students industry-ready. Semester exams are on medium level. The passing percentage of students is 80%.

The college is good with its friendly atmosphere and scenery.
Placements: Placements are based on the individual talent of the person. Placement cannot be decided by the branch of the person. Placements are good in the college. The overall placement of the year 2023 is 89.41%. The median package offered in NIT is 12.61 LPA.
Infrastructure: A sports complex, cricket ground, and football ground are present in the college. Hostels are provided based on the JEE Main rank and sometimes on the semester grade points, which are finally divided by the year you are studying at that time. The classrooms were good.
Faculty: Our faculty is nice, and they will teach lessons in English as per the students' choice. The difficulty level in the semester exams is based on the paper made by the faculty. The exams include mid-sem exams, minor tests, and end-sem exams, and others will be taken as attendance, class tests, or notes or assignments.
Other: Two fests will be held in an annual year in which one is a technical fest, and the other is the cultural fest. The surroundings in the college are greenery as we look around.
