First-year overview of NITS.
Placements: Almost 75% of students get placed every year in IT sector as well as core jobs. The highest salary package offered is 1 crore per annum. A large number of students get recruited every year and also students get internships in the third year. Roles offered in the course are engineer, scientist, programmer analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms have projectors and whiteboards. The lecture halls are huge and well-maintained. There are Wi-Fi connections. Hostels rooms are pretty average with low maintained infrastructure. The food in the mess is also pretty average and better than the stereotypical mess food.
Faculty: Professors are highly qualified and knowledgeable, but it depends on the professors how they'll behave. The course offers all-round engineering experience. Though it is backdated but still relevant. The difficulty of the subjects and exams varies from easy to moderate.
Other: The best thing about the course is placements. One thing is the course needs to be improved as the course should remain updated with the industry standards. Dozens of events are organised throughout the year and the alumni network is strong too.

Good college but has improper administration.
Placements: Placements are still ongoing, so I can't provide an exact number, but they are progressing well. The highest salary package offered is 82 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top-tier companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, BPCL, and HPCL are actively recruiting. Only a small percentage of students approximately 10% will secure internships. Top roles include software development engineer (SDE), training design engineer, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: The internet services are a bit weak here. The college is a bit old. The infrastructure is also a bit old-fashioned. The basic facilities are provided like Wi-Fi, etc. Classrooms are not digitalized. The library timings are restricted. The food in the mess is average. You will get used to it with your taste. Medical facilities are there, but there are a bit less. You can find a good hospital nearby.
Faculty: Teachers are good, qualified, and knowledgeable. You have to approach most of them. But you have to put in the effort. The curriculum is relevant but sometimes, it feels like it's old to current industry standards. Exams are difficult but doable with 35 as pass percentage.
Other: I chose this college because of its ranking and the course because is interesting and circuital. Lucas would give you much freedom to choose but, it is a bit old. So, I think if it's improved, then it would be better now. We have to face every year. The connectivity is difficult for the campus.

Review of NIT Silchar College.
Placements: In NIT Silchar, placement opportunities are decent. This year, the average placement offered in electrical engineering was around 12 LPA CTC, and the highest package offered was around 52 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Paytm, HCl, Byju's, Microsoft, etc. This college is good for the IT sector and decent for core branches in terms of placement.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so good in NIT Silchar. Some newly made buildings like New Gallery, Library, and the admin building are good, including some newly made hostels like Aryabhatta (for 1st years) and BH9. But most of the infrastructure is outdated as NIT Silchar is an old institute started from 1967.
Faculty: Faculty are not so good, especially in my branch electrical engineering. But some faculty members of other branches are good and friendly. Curriculum is good, it's not too hectic. In exam time, you may feel pressure due to a lot of exams like mid-sem, minor test, endsem, assignments, etc.

The nature's beauty: NIT Silchar.
Placements: The placement statistics of NIT Silchar are very good. Almost 90% of the students are placed in the Electronics and Communication Engineering branch. The highest package for DCR is 60 LPA, the lowest package is 10 LPA, and the average package stands at 17 LPA. Almost 60% of the students got internships this year, and the top company was Nvidia.
Infrastructure: In NIT Silchar, the classrooms are good and have the capacity of 90 students per room. We have a large new gallery where it has many rooms, and each room can contain 150 students. In the hostel, we have double-seater rooms, and we are getting 24-hour LAN facility. The quality of mess food is not so good. We have a health center where medicine is available. We have grounds for every sport, like badminton, cricket, basketball, football, etc.
Faculty: Here in NIT Silchar, teachers are well-qualified. They are very friendly and always ready to help us. They are well-qualified and came from reputed institutes like IITs and NITs. The semester exams are medium to hard level. We have mid-semester exams, minor tests, and end-semester exams.
Other: The campus is good, and the reason I chose this college is that it is very close to my hometown. Here we have basically two fests known as Tecnoesis and Incandescence.

Outstanding beauty of NITS.
Placements: The percentage of the placed students is very good in our college; almost every student got placement. The percentage placement is around 90 to 95% from every branch. The highest package in 2024 is 60 Lacs per annum and the average package offered is 12 Lacs per annum. Job recruiting companies are L&T.
Infrastructure: The facilities that are available in our hostel is they provide a sub chair, B.Ed, fan, water, light, electricity, and cleanliness. We have Ethernet in our hostels and the connection is very poor. The food quality in the mess is very poor. We also have a sports faculty members offered by the Gymkhana union body.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are already helpful, qualified, and highly skilled. They have a good knowledge of every subject and their way of teaching is very unique. No, the course is not relevant for us. The semester exams are easy if we study and the pass percentage is very high; almost every student got passed except for 5 to 10 students.
Other: The best thing about this course is I wanted to pursue my engineering degree from India's finest engineering college, so I got in and it is an honor to pursue my B.Tech engineering degree in civil engineering. There are two major facts in our college: the first is our technical fest and the second is our cultural fest. Our technical fest is held in the month of November and the cultural fest is held in the month of February.

NITS- Though not the best but not even that bad.
Placements: The placement is fine and is reliable to some extent, ignoring the recession of last year. The maximum package reaches 80 LPA, with 3.5 LPA being the lowest and the average is 8 LPA. For a branch like CSE, placement is almost 100%. More than 80% of students get placed overall at NIT Silchar. The placement of core branches is a bit low but the maximum reaches above 20 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Oracle, C-DAC, L&T, Tata Projects and many more. Internship opportunities are also there and a lot of companies visit to provide interns, but the number of offers in the case of internships is, of course, negligible as compared to the number of job offers.
Infrastructure: Every piece of infrastructure required in a college is present and usable but being an old college, the buildings and all might look a bit old. Internet connectivity is available in hostels, library and labs. Hostel rooms are also nice but the food is just like any average hostel, i.e., not up to par. Sports and games can be played by the students as playgrounds and sports complexes are usable.
Faculty: Teachers are, of course, qualified and knowledgeable but many of them are unable to connect with the students, which leads to boring classes. Though a handful of great professors are also there,. The course curriculum is as per the need. Semester exams are stressful because there is no break in between. The difficulty level is moderate and the pass percentage is 96%.
Other: I chose to be a student at NIT Silchar because of its decent placement. Infrastructure and teachers teaching processes are some of the things that can be improved. There are two major events: Tecnoesis, which is a technical fest, and Incandescence, which is a cultural fest. These are the great events at the college. Many clubs and societies are there to be engaged with, thus making campus life better.
