The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore has conducted National Law Admission Test (NLAT) 2020 on September 12. The exam was held in a home-based online mode so that candidates can take the exam from the COVID-safe environment of their respective location. The exam pattern of NLAT 2020 has been shared by NLSIU Bangalore on September 3 along with the admission notification. NLSIU NLAT 2020 Exam Pattern Details
The question paper of NLAT 2020 has been designed in such a way that there will be four main general comprehension based passages and, they will be carrying 10 questions each. The question paper will be based on five subjects with weightage as under:

Therefore, there will be 8 questions from each subject in NLAT 2020 question paper. Moreover, there will be a 'one-attempt per question' scheme in the exam i.e. candidates can not go back to attempt the previous questions once they have moved on to the next question.
NLSIU NLAT 2020 Marking Scheme
The marking scheme of NLAT 2020 has been described as under:
- Each question will be carrying two marks weightage i.e. one passage carrying 10 questions will be of 20 marks
- There will be negative marking in two cases i.e. 0.25 marks to be deducted if the question is not answered by the candidate and, 0.50 marks per question will be deducted if the selected answer is wrong.
- The total marks will be out of 80 after evaluation of marks per questions attempted and deduction of marks for the above-mentioned rule of negative marking.
