B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2025
Offered by University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University

Absolutely satisfied because of the projects. I did during my course and placements are going well.
Placements: Talking about placement offers on campus, we have strength of 70 students, out of which 35 students got placements. The placement session is still going on. The average salary package offered ranges between 5 LPA - 7 LPA. Many students also got internships by ZS Associate. Many more roles are offered for placements by GET.
Infrastructure: Talking about facilities available on the campus, we have Wi-Fi connection for every student. We have a library in every department. There is a separate library for combined universities, which is open 24X7 throughout the year. Hostels also have a reading/study room. Indoor gym and games are available.
Faculty: Faculty members are always helpful in every way. I get chance to learn from them and share the best knowledge they have. They love this part and they always inspire us to come on board for any ongoing projects. University has many ongoing and new projects. The exam difficulty level is moderate.
Other: I chose the course due to my love for machines and equipments, and I did diploma in automobile engineering before this. Fests and events are held every year. Every department has its own fest. Campus is best to live in rather than outside campus.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics and Computing - Batch of 2024

I am satisfied with my college and my course. I got the opportunity of placement.
Placements: There are more than 200 students in our course, of which 172 students got placed after their graduation. The salary package offered by different companies is around 4 LPA - 15 LPA. Almost 100% of internships are given to each student. The stipend offered is Rs. 15,000 to 30,000.
Infrastructure: Hostel life at the university is excellent. Full hygienic food is given throughout the year. Different kinds of food are provided every Sunday. We get tasty food. Indoor sports are available in the hostel like table tennis, carrom, a television, chess, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive. They help us throughout our course. They innovatively help us to build new projects which are required by the company. The relevance of the course is legitimate. It helps us in our companies. I feel like most of the questions which came in the final paper are from previous years.
Other: I chose this course because I got admission easily. This course is worth it for me. It gives me two lessons and also having my industrial life. The campus crowd, campus life, and events are the things that helped me grow throughout the course because, at the end of the semester, we get an opportunity to organise a fest. We can have the person to bring any idea to the department. The department will totally cooperate with us to implement it if it is worth it.

B.A. (Hons.) in English - Batch of 2024
Offered by MCM DAV College for Women

College furniture needs to be changed. There should be more placements.
Placements: There are not too many placements. And the one they are offering is not worth the fee of the course; there should be more placements in the respective field and they should spread awareness among different courses, which we can do along with the graduation to face the competition with some different skills .
Infrastructure: Furniture needs to be changed and renewed; the wooden furniture is not comfortable for a 45-minute lecture; there should be good quality furniture; hostels are lacking in facilities based on their perceptions; the perceptions are increasing year after year, but the facilities do not.
Faculty: Faculty is good, teachers are friendly and supportive, and they teach very well and give extra knowledge. They also restrict us to the syllabus only but with the current issues, they should also add current affairs-related topics and some sessions, particularly based on the current situation of our nation.
Other: The campus is quite good and the crowd is also okay but not what I expected with the name of MCM DAV College.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2024

It provides good facilities and good teachers. It is one of the best and under the top 10 colleges.
Placements: About 60-100% of students get placed in my course. There is nothing much because placement chances were 10-20% in my course. In this college, there are no placements. As freshers students can do an internship from our course with a stipend that ranges from Rs. 15,000-20,000 per month and then after 6 months, there will be an increment.
Infrastructure: Our college provides one big library, Wi-Fi, 4 computer labs, and an individual BCA department. In our college, medical rooms are available. The food quality is very good. Most importantly our canteen is very big and popular as compared to all canteens in college. Sports complex is available in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, fully qualified, and knowledgeable. BCA has a good scope. In my opinion, B. Tech will be much more helpful as compared to BCA in the future. However, BCA is a very good course. Semester exams are not so difficult but it depend on students. In the BCA, the pass percentage is above 40-45%.
Other: It is helpful for the future, so I chose the BCA course. In my opinion, B. Tech will be 10% better.

B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2027
Offered by GMCH Chandigarh - Government Medical College and Hospital
4.2
4Placements2Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Short review of GMCH college for nursing.
Placements: I am from batch 2023 B.Sc. Nursing (currently in second year, 3rd sem nursing). Almost everyone, but placement doesn’t depend upon the college as there is no direct placement. Placement depends upon how good you studied in your course. The highest – many of the students cleared NCLEX from our college. The lowest – can’t say anything. Generally, students prefer to work in AIIMS. Yes, everyone gets a chance for an internship.
Infrastructure: For nursing, it is very poor. Like, only 2 lecture theatres in college and clinical hours are too much. The hostel is combined with the two lecture theatres, which is awful. For attending external subjects, we have to go to E block many times, which is really frustrating. College timing is 9 to 5. No Wi-Fi for students. The library is too good (2 libraries in college). No canteen in college, but in E block of the hospital, there are lots of canteens.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very helpful, and semester exams are moderately difficult. Just need 50 percent to pass the exam. Almost everyone gets passed in this college. But questions are very repetitive. External classes are just a waste of time; you will be unable to understand a single external lecture as they are very fast and complete whole chapters in 2 days, especially anatomy.
Other: Well, fees – 10,000 for the first year (5,000 admission fee + tuition fees). The total is 25,000 for exams, two in a year (12.5k + 12.5k). Hostel fees 25,000, and mess 3,400 per 25 days.

B.A. in Political Science - Batch of 2025
Offered by Post Graduate Government College
2.6
2Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
It's a good college for studies. Campus is good. But placements are not worth it.
Placements: Only some students got placed in the B.A. course. The companies are not verified by the college, and you have to do everything at your own risk. The average package of placement was very low, around 2–3 LPA. I am very grateful for my own placement in this course.
Infrastructure: The rooms of the girls hostel are average-looking. The average size, not many facilities, no Wi-Fi, and the and the library are pretty good, though. The quality of the food is worth the money. The canteen is nearby and provides tasty food that is mostly clean. Medical facilities are provided.
Faculty: The teaching quality is pretty average. Some teachers are very knowledgeable and have a unique teaching style; they care about students, whereas some teachers do not care about students and are rude. They don't even complete the syllabus before exams.
