Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) - Batch of 2017
Offered by Goswami Ganesh Dutta S.D. College

The college has good infrastructure and knowledgeable faculty.
Placements: The placements were average, and only a few students got placed. No students got the internship from the college, and just there was a project work in the university syllabus which was to be done under the guidance of the professors assigned to a group of students. This is a 1-year diploma course maybe that is why we did not have placements for this.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, digital classrooms, IT centre, library, etc. were available on the campus. High-quality labs and classrooms were provided to the students. Good quality of food was available in the canteen. I did not face any infrastructure related issues during my tenure at the college.
Faculty: The faculty members were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They were quite experienced. We had many interactive sessions to make our class lecture helpful to every student. The course curriculum was very helpful, and it has value in various IT related fields these days.

PG Diploma in Computer Applications - Batch of 2020
Offered by Guru Nanak College

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and good placements in 2017.
Placements: Almost 95% of students got good placement in Guru Nanak College. The highest package offered is 15 LPA, the lowest package is 6 LPA, and the average package is 10 LPA. 2 top companies came to our college, and they were HCL and Mahindra.
Infrastructure: There was free Wi-Fi for our online studies, and that was really the best facility. The labs were very clean and posh. Guru Nanak College has some digital classrooms. The library is also very big and good, and we can find all types of books there.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful to everybody. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is excellent. Teachers teach very interestingly and with energy. Besides that, they are also very free and frank to students, which is more important.
Other: I chose the computer applications course because I have very much interest in computers from the beginning.

Advance Diploma in Guidance and Counselling - Batch of 2023
Offered by University School of Open Learning, Panjab University

Satisfied with the faculty but not administration.
Placements: In this course, they don't offer you placements but the internship is mandatory which is done and applied for by the students only. The placements are only for the degree courses and not for the Diploma courses. There is a lack of practical knowledge as no support is provided from the University for internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is fine. The sports and games facilities are up to the mark alongside the food having a lot of options for an affordable pricing. The campus does not have Wi-Fi for the students to access, but the labs and the classrooms are well ventilated and good.
Faculty: The faculty is well qualified and well versed with the topics. The course curriculum is relevant but very basic as compared to the level of study required. I expected the curriculum to be more advanced and vast than what it was. The semester exams are not as such difficult if you have a grip on the concepts.

P.G. Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics - Batch of 2018
Offered by Government Home Science College, Chandigarh

Satisfied with everything except for the fact that there are no placements.
Placements: Our college did not offer any placements to the students. Only internships were given to the students in different hospitals. I was placed in GMCH - 32 for three months for training under professional dietician. Others were placed in PGI and some were placed in GMSH -16.
Infrastructure: Our college has an old building. It is a standard red brick government building. All facilities are available. The college library is pretty impressive. It has two floors and it is very well maintained. There's even a hostel and a well maintained canteen in the college.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful at least in our course be it practical or theory. The curriculum covered each and every aspect of whatever was required as a prerequisite to work as a professional dietician. However, we received actual working experience only after we started working in our respective internships.
Other: I chose this course because I was quite interested in this course. I think it should be updated every once in a while to maintain the relevance since this is a field where everything changes pretty frequently.
