Presidency University, the Heritage of Kolkata, West Bengal & also India.

Placements: Presidency University offers various choices of courses along with a huge variety of placement. Anyway colleges offer a good placement with reputed jobs. Most of my seniors are now in the government sectors. The highest salary offered by the companies is about 50K and the lowest is about 16.5K. Various types of companies visited the college during placement like News Channels, NGO's, etc. Roles were offered to the students according to their course. An internship percentage of about 80% students...

Good infrastructure, an enriched library and a very good college life.

Placements: The students have the placements after completing their M.Sc, degree. The companies like HZL under Vedanta group have come every year for the placements, and nearly 5 to 6 students are placed from geology department. For other departments, some HR companies have come. There is a good placement cell, who works for the benefit of students.

One of the best college in the country.

Placements: The placement cell of the college (which is now converted to university) is not that great. College rarely arrange direct placement with commercial companies. Some of the departments directly contact various companies and I have seen top companies like Telco, Infosys, Reliance and Cognizant to do direct recruitment from the college.

The best Alma mater you deserve.

Placements: Department of Geography, has a long and continuing history of producing laurels in the field of Geography. Geography is mostly chosen a right option for higher studies and research. Students have ample opportunities to join independent internships programme (stipend and non - stipend). Though the department has a placement cell, mostly students opt for research at national reputed institutions I. e. IIT and also universities abroad. While others choose the Professional teaching.

An outlook of Presidency University.

Placements: The college placements are very good. A lot of our seniors and juniors get placed in IITS, TIFR, IUCAA. A lot of students have been getting placed in prestigious US universities. Also, there is campusing every year from prominent industrial companies. Also, prestigious institutes offer internships on the semester basis.

Presidency University: Death of an Idea.

Placements: There is no any active placement cell in Presidency University since 2014. Sometimes by the pressure of students authority invites some company who offers jobs those are unable to fulfil a single persons monthly desires. Students Union has demanded many times for proper campusing but authority said they don't care of students' future.

Overall, it is a good college to study.

Placements: My seniors got placed in Wipro. Some are there in IISc, rice academy and many more research institutions. Salary scale was based on their rank in NET and GATE qualifications. This was for science streams. Humanities students have also got placed in good companies including Viacom 18, Anandabazar Patrika and many more.

Many famous people studied here and many famous people will study here.

Placements: We know B.Sc (physics) will not provide any placements like engineering streams. We chose physics for higher studies and graduation is necessary for learning those in-depth concepts. Every year many students got selected in IIT, JAM, XM, JEST TIFR etc. It is a very good place to love your subject.

Overall, satisfied with everything the college provides.

Placements: Physics department of Presidency University had a great record regarding the placement in 2017. There were students with less than rank 10 in both JAM and JEST 2017. There were several other good rankers in both of these exams, as well as in TIFR exam. Students of this batch are currently studying in TIFR, ICTS, IISC Bangalore and several other IITs. One of the students of this batch is currently doing his masters from University of Groningen.

Great experience overall.

Placements: The placements for our batch were good, and seniors were also decently placed. I don't remember the number of students placed. The highest salary package offered for my course was 3.5 LPA. Top companies that visit the college for placement are Deloitte, HDFC Bank. A placement cell was there when we were in college. We did not get any internships from college.

Presidency University is liberating with a unique experience and is one of the best in the country.

Placements: The students do go out for the internships with magazines and leading newspapers. However, the placement scenario in this particular department, due to the students preferring the higher studies, is absent. So, if you're interested in academia thumbs up. If you're looking forward to being placed from Presidency, you should not join this college. However, it would be great for the students with the research interests and want to pursue the higher studies.

Presidency University, Kolkata in 2025 best college for M.Sc. Applied Economics admission.

Placements: This course is the best package provided for every student because there are many companies hiring students from this college. This college has multiple companies internships and provides the best package salary for the student like 4 Lacs to 9 Lacs maximum salary and there are not any requirements of the companies.

I am satisfied with its fee structure.

Placements: Our placements were good with high packages. Almost 85% of students got placed in this academic year. Each student maintains at least 2 offers before completing their studies. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA.

A famous college in Kolkata.

Placements: There is no scope to be placed. It's not an engineering college. You had to go for higher studies. But some of my classmates got internships under our beloved professors.

The college is one of the oldest in India.

Placements: The percentage of students placed are like 50-60%. The highest package was maybe 12 LPA, the lowest was 2.4 LPA and average was 5 LPA. Tata, Infosys and AIIMS come here. Internships are not so good. You can join as a teacher here after completing your education.

In our course, the highest salary package offered is 25 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 10 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 15.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Microsoft, Google, Amazon etc. The top role offered to the students is in scientific research.

I am dissatisfied with the college.

Placements: There were no placements in college. We haven't ever known about any placements after graduation any time. But the courses were very much stronger than any other universities I have found. Though there were no placements in mathematics, there were placements in other streams.
