Presidency University, Kolkata Scholarships and Funding
Shri Dinesh Chandra Basu Memorial Scholarship -
Eligibility- Required minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade (in case of the Arts subjects) and minimum 70% marks or equivalent grade (in case of the Science Subjects) in the last public examination (Higher Secondary or equivalent).
Only BPL/ANTODAYA card holder will be eligible for applying to this scholarship. Original BPL/ ANTODAYA card is required to be produced at the time of submission of form. A photocopy of BPL/ ANTODAYA card duly attested by a Gazetted Officer/ HOD/Academic Dean is required to be submitted along with the application.
Meritorious students of our University Departments for different types of benefits and scholarships -
Eligibility criteria 1. Family Income should not exceed Rs.4000/- per month (family income certificate issued by BDO or any equivalent competent Group-A Govt. Officer or Secretary/Executive Officer of Municipality etc is required to be produced along with application).
2. Minimum 65% marks or a GPA of 7.0 or above is required in the last qualifying or semester (last two) exam, as the case may be. Attested copy of mark sheet is required to be duly submitted along with the application form.
3. Only tuition fees will be waived and all other fees are required to be paid by the students as per the norms of the University.
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship -
Eligibility criteria 1. Family income should not exceed Rs.8000/- per month (family income certificate issued by BDO or any equivalent competent Group-A Govt. Officer or Municipal Secretary/Executive Officer etc. is to be produced along with the Application Form).
2. Minimum 75% marks or a GPA of 7.5 or above in case of Humanities and 80% marks or 8.0 and above in case of Sciences is required in the last qualifying or semester (last two) examination, as the case may be. Attested copy of the mark sheet is required to be submitted along with the application form.
3. Minimum 75% of class attendance is mandatory
