Placements: Presidency University has a placement program with a variety of career options, including analytics, consulting, core (technical), finance, IT, business development, and sales and marketing. In 2023, the median package for a 3-year undergraduate degree was INR 6 LPA, and the median package for a 2-year postgraduate degree was INR 7 LPA.
Placements: There are a total of 40 students in each batch. In our batch, there are around 36 students. The highest salary package offered is around 8 LPA - 9 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Deloitte, TCS, Capgemini, and KPMG visit the college for placements to recruit economics and statistics department students. Technical, customer service, software development, and marketing roles are mainly provided to students.
Placements: It's one of the most prestigious, history-rich colleges in West Bengal. Around 3 to 4 students every year from a batch of 30 to 40 get placed on campus. Most opt for higher studies in IITs and IISERs by taking the GATE and JAM exams. A large portion of our college gets accepted into them. As it's a reputed college, we get internships easily. Teaching institutions like Allen, Aakash, and PW offer good amounts of money to students with good CGPAs. As I have heard, TCS, HCL, and Infosys come here. ...
Placements: Almost 90% of the students got placements. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA, the average salary package offered was around 7 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The top recruiting firms for our college are Deloitte, Ernst & Young, and HDFC Bank. About 65% of students who applied for internships got internships through our university. The top roles offered here are Data Analyst, Economic Consultant, and Policy Analyst.
Placements: The department to which it belongs does not currently have a work unit, unlike other departments such as economics and statistics. Internship opportunities are not readily available for motivated and curious students due to a lack of faculty support. Although it is an autonomous institute, the situation is not as favorable as in other universities.
Placements: Around 50-60% of BA Political Science students are placed. The highest package is around INR 6-7 LPA, the lowest around INR 2-3 LPA, and the average package is INR 3-4 LPA. Top recruiters include NGOs, research firms, and think tanks. About 30% of students secure internships in organizations like PRS . Top roles include policy analyst, research associate, and public relations officer.
Placements: There is no placement after the B.Sc. Course. 70 percent students can bag an internship either from IAS or in other institutes. For the 4 year UG course internship is now mandatory and time is separately mapped out for the students to do internships without hampering course work. Workshops and seminar talks are held. Provides excellent guidance for cracking competitive exams required for M.Sc. Admissions such as GATE and JAM BT.
Placements: Placements are available for arts and science department students. I am a student of the English department, there is very little scope for placements. I do not have any idea about placements as my department does not offer placements.
Placements: Placement opportunities around me are given for the science stream, where there are no such opportunities for the arts stream like sociology or political science. However, the placements offered are really great and helpful to students, as I have heard from my fellow seniors.
Placements: About 80% of our programme alumnus have found positions in well known firms like HSBC, EY, KPMG and Capgemini. The salary offers vary ranging notably from the top offer being 8LPA to an average of approximately 6 LPA. Furthermore, approximately a quarter of students who sought internship through the University were able to secure valuable positions. Noteworthy roles obtained include those of risk analyst and data analyst.
Placements: About 60% of students are placed in this course. The highest salary package offered in this course is approximately 12 LPA, the average is approximately 8 LPA, and the lowest is approximately 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, HDFC, HSBC, etc.
Placements: This course is in a lot of demand nowadays and it helps to develop multiple skills during these 3 years which prevents one from lagging behind in the upcoming genre of industry. In-campus placements are not there in our college but due to this course, off-campus placements can be cracked with flying colors.
Placements: The central placement cell of our university is not so active. Many departments offer placements after 2 years of master's course. For my department, after three years of Bachelor's degree, many coaching institutes and oil, cement and pharmaceutical companies offer jobs with low salary packages. The job profiles offered are not so attractive, but the jobs offered to master's students are attractive and also salary packages and others facilities are very good. The average salary package offered f...
Placements: The placements after graduation are very rare from our department because most students from our department go for M.Sc from DSE, JNU, etc., they either enter into education sectors i.e schools, college or into the corporate sector after their masters. Our alumni network is very strong thus after completion of masters' students could have a good life ahead.
Placements: Apprpx 80 to 90% students are placed in my course. In the first year of M.Sc. various course is offered by the institute and in the 2nd year, students get an opportunity to research on a short term project on their interests. Students get a good expose from here.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students got placements. HSBC, BRIDGEi2i, TCS, HDFC Bank and many others came for recruiting, and they offered roles like financial managers and many other posts. The highest score in our batch is 9.5, which is very good. Almost all the students got placements after the last semester.
Placements: I am currently studying an undergraduate course in science (biology). The current scenario is that graduates from any discipline of science are not very employable. They get jobs after completing a minimum of a master's degree. Our college offers a master's programme. If you study a master's under the bachelor's programme, then there are fairly good chances to get admission to a master's programme because a fair number of admissions are reserved for the home quota in our college. A master's degr...
