Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Sc. Programs at PJTSAU

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what emerges:

    * Limited placement efforts: Many students feel that the placement cell is not up to the mark. Companies tend to avoid visiting the campus due to students' obsession with pursuing postgraduate degrees (PG).
    * Low attendance and engagement: Students often don't make use of the available facilities, such as the library and sports complexes, leading to low utilization rates.
    * Few internship opportunities: The college provides limited internship opportunities, although some paid internships are suggested through esteemed universities.
    * Average packages: The highest package offered is INR15 Lacs per annum, while the average package ranges from INR5-6 Lacs per annum.
    * Top roles offered: Graduates can expect to land roles like principal scientists, bank officers, AO/AEO, and others.

In summary, while the college offers some decent facilities, its placement cell seems to struggle in terms of attracting employers and providing sufficient internship opportunities. However, graduates still manage to secure decent jobs and higher studies opportunities.

Review of Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University.
Placements: Around 70% of students are getting placed in several companies every year. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA for many students. Syngenta, Marut Drones, and Coromandel are some of the companies. No internship, but a few may get one in Aghub. Roles offered by this course include AEO, AFO, AO, IBPS, etc.
Infrastructure: We have an academic block with a digital smart board and speakers with a high-speed internet connection. A central library is open to every student. Food is good, and canteen is below the academic block. PHC is available for medical assistance. Sports meets are conducted between colleges.
Faculty: Teachers are fully qualified from IARI, BHU, etc. Curriculum is relevant for future aspects. Semester examinations are a bit difficult. There are practical exams before semester exams. 50% is the pass percentage for every exam. Exams are strictly conducted.
Other: Because I have a passion for agriculture. There is a festival every last week of the month. There are several events in the college like college day, sports meet, freshers, farewell, etc.

The college has good placement and it was really good for infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The average percentage can be seen here, and top recruiting companies are making offers for internships and other opportunities. At least 80% of our class was placed.
Infrastructure: The facilities at the College of Agricultural Engineering, Sanga Reddy are quite good. They have facilities in every department, including biochemistry, entomology, pathology, horticulture, extension, agricultural engineering, economics, agronomy, and the statistics department. They also have food available in the mess and the canteen, and they have sports facilities.
Faculty: Sometimes the teachers are helpful, but other times not so much. It depends on their time and their mood. The coursework is informative, and other times it's just a review. The exams are difficult, and the courses are relevant to the curriculum.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to learn about plants and animals, and how to develop them in the future. The course has helped me improve my skills and knowledge, and I'm finding it very interesting. However, I'm disappointed that there are no scholarships available yet, and I'm not sure when they will be.

Study in PJTSAU and build your career.
Placements: Last year, nearly 72 percent of students got placements. The package ranges from 3-4 LPA. Various SEED technology, fertilizers and pesticide companies will come to our college for recruitment. I don't have an idea of how many students got internships from my course. There are various opportunities that a student will get after the course completion.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college hostel, classrooms, as well as various departments, is good, but they are of old architectural design. The quality of facilities in my hostel is average and the food is very hygienic and well prepared. There are various facilities for health, such as a primary health centre, available in my college. There is also a sports club that conducts various intercollegiate tournaments in my college.
Faculty: The professors here are very friendly and help the students in their future goals. They are well qualified and very experienced in their fields. This course makes the student skilled and ready for industrial practices. The exams are medium level and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
Other: I chose this course because I want to help the farmers and it is my passion. This course has good career opportunities. There is a need for practical implementation and new courses like artificial intelligence in agriculture. This college also provides good scholarships for students.

College of agriculture: produces future agriculturists.
Placements: This college provides placements for nearly 40 to 50 percent of students based on their GPA, skills, and experience. The average package ranges from 4 to 5 LPA. I don't have an idea of the recruiting companies and the percentage of students who got internships. Many roles, such as agricultural officer, are provided in this course.
Infrastructure: Our college also provides a digital library and better connectivity. The infrastructure of the college is good but the architectural design is old. The hostel is very well organized, and the food provided is of good quality and hygiene in the mess and canteen. Our college also has a primary health centre and many sports and games at both district and state levels.
Faculty: The professors here are very experienced and qualified with a helpful nature and they show us the better future options. This course gives the students practical exposure and industrial knowledge through hands-on experience. The semester exams are very good if prepared well and 50% is the passing percentage.
Other: I chose this because my relatives suggested it to me as it provides better future options. This course also needs the introduction of new subjects such as artificial intelligence in agriculture, etc. There are many events and fests organized here in this college every month. It also provides scholarships for ICAR students.

The experience: A blend of knowledge and growth.
Placements: In my course, nearly 30 to 40 percent of students get placements in various companies. Some of the companies that recruit our graduates include ITC Limited and Tata Chemicals. The average salary package for our graduates is 2 to 3 lakhs per annum.
Infrastructure: The labs are in good condition, but the equipment is not modern. The library and classrooms are well-equipped with digital technology. The hostels are average but not bad. The food is excellent, and they maintain hygienic conditions. Overall, I would rate this university 4 out of 5.
Faculty: The professors are very helpful, qualified, and experienced. The teaching quality is wonderful. The course makes the student skilled and builds practical knowledge. The semester exams are easy if you are well prepared, and the pass percentage is 50%.
Other: I am proud to be a part of this institution. The course I am taking is designed to help farmers modernize their technology, control pests, and increase their yields. I would like to see the course enhanced by adding subjects such as AI in agriculture. Our college provides a variety of events, including a food fest every month, scholarships for ICAR students, and a wide range of extracurricular activities, games, and sports. Campus life is extraordinary.

    Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University.
Placements: 30% placements should be given to the students in each batch year. Highest package up to 8 Lacs per annum and the lowest is 4 Lacs per annum. Coramandal, several fertilizer, and SEED companies provide good job opportunities to the selected students. I have not completed this course, but my senior batch mates have got 30% job opportunities in Coramandal company. Bank sector, fertilizer manager, field manager, AEO, AO, etc.
Infrastructure: Buildings are good enough to study, but in some classrooms, there is no proper ventilation. But in the second year, there are good facilities of digital classes, fans, ventilation, speakers, seminar hall. There is a central library where you can utilize your time in reading books. If you want to take any book home, you would be provided with a library card, and we should apply for it in the library. Hostel buildings are okay, but in some washrooms, tap water may not come. The mess is reasonable—it's like not good, not bad, it's average, I can say about it. The playground with multiple facilities is also there, and gym facility is also present.
Faculty: Teachers treat us like we are their own children, and they help in academics as well as co-curricular activities. Professors in the university have more experience and knowledge about it. They suggest students to study well. This is an extraordinary course; you can find numerous job opportunities. We can go for higher studies also. Coming to exams, there is no gap between semesters, every day has an exam, and the pass percentage is 50%.
Other: I chose this course because I have a passion for the agricultural sector, and this is the best course to experience the difficulties of farmers. Practical sessions are strictly conducted. This would be effective when the university provides better lab facilities. Eligible candidates will get a scholarship up to 28k, but it takes more time to be funded.
