Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) - Batch of 2026

Dentistry is a very underrated field and I want to make this field similar to MBBS.
Placements: There is no such placement, as the future is totally decided by your own mindset. It means you are approaching a postgraduate degree or opening your own clinic after BDS.
As it is a 5-year course, it consists of 4 years of study and a 1-year internship, which is paid.
Infrastructure: There are a total of nine departments and a library, which provides all the facilities for study. Classrooms have AC and a library too.
There are separate hostels for boys and girls with an attached canteen.
For medical facilities, the treatment cost is free for the students at our college.
Faculty: Teachers and staff are very helpful and qualified.
They help in every way they can and they are knowledgeable.
The teaching qualities are good.
The course curriculum is relevant to MBBS, as we also study the three-year course in which MBBS has its subjects.
Other: I chose this course because it is so underrated and many don't want to be dentists, which is not good because every field has its own pros and cons.

Good infrastructure and faculty, value for money .
Placements: Package offered depends entirely on performance, Students can join private dental clinics and hospitals and also appear for NEET MS exam for further studies. Post graduation facility is also available in some departments. Approximately 90% 0f the students get placements.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are average. Hostel facility and mess facility are also average. Food quality is good but there's no much variety in menu. Sports and games events are frequently conducted in the campus. Library facility is provided from 9AM to 7PM. Overall, nice campus experience.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in the college. Every faculty is very knowledgeable. Exams are a bit difficult sometimes but the faculty help with everything. Equal importance given to both theory based knowledge and practical skills of a student which is one of the best thing about the college.

Quite a good option. It's not really bad but you should try for a better college .
Placements: There are 100 seats in the first year, with 15 seats reserved for all India quota students. The BDS programme is for 4+1 years, in which a 1-year internship is provided by the college, which is paid. Patient flow is very good in this college, which may be intact with various types of patients.
Infrastructure: Few classes have AC; sitting arrangements are okay.
The library is decent and quiet, and all books are available for every subject. They have boys and girls hostels, which have restrictions.
The timing is fixed on campus. 24x7 water is available in every weather condition.
Faculty: It's the one and only government dental college in Chhattisgarh, which is quite decent. Overall, the experience is okay. Study is okay in this college but the cultural part of this college is very poor. Some staff are very good; they know their subjects very well.
Other: Tier has a lot of potential for this course. In a growing country like India, people are concerned about their moral health. That's BDS, which is quite good. However, this course is also very stressful.

It is one of the decent dental colleges in Chhattisgarh.
Placements: Since this is a dental college, there are no placements. Passouts are self-employed, by opening the clinic. Some even go for post-graduation in clinical as well as non-clinical branches. Some students join various dental colleges as BDS staff.
Infrastructure: There are 3 lecture rooms on the campus. There is a well-equipped library with almost all the medical and dental books available in it. Hostels offer double or triple room sharing with common washrooms. There is 1 hostel with an attached washroom, but students have to share that room with 4 students in total. Mess is average, with 3 meals per day. The canteen is non-existent at the moment. There is a badminton court for recreation purposes.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable. Most of them have a master's degree MS in their respective subjects. They are helpful in clinical practices as well. The course is relevant. Students have 2-3 internal exams and a pre university exam followed by a main final university exam conducted by Ayush University.
Other: The crowd is decent. Some seniors are very helpful. There is an annual convocation program for the passing out students. Other festivals like Saraswati Puja and Ganesh puja are celebrated with various events and competitions.

The college had a very good infrastructure and teaching faculty members.
Placements: A total of 100 students were selected in a batch of BDS. All are running their own clinics and some of them are in reputed government jobs. Some are pursuing higher degrees like MS MPH. Everyone is indulged in some good activities and earns money.
Infrastructure: The girls' hostel was very strict. Girls could go for outings only on Sunday. The quality of food was good as per my experience. There was a regular change in the food timetable every month according to the students. There was a basketball court. Boys mainly used to play cricket on our college ground.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were very experienced and knowledgeable. They made things very understandable. Our course is of five years and we had five exams year wise. Exams were tough but the teachers were very good. They taught us very well so that we could appear for the exam fearlessly. The passing percentage is above 70%.

Go with your own risk. Because ultimately u have to open your own clinic.
Placements: In my batch few of them has open their own clinic, few are working in others clinic, few are preparing for MS No one has got any private or government job from my batch. Earn by urself by opening clinic. No private sector job. Owner of their own clinic.
Infrastructure: College building is really very good. Labs are very good as well, classrooms have enough space and we'll maintained, library is big, books ar also available. The best thing is hospital, for boys it's 2 share room with attached bathroom with enough space. For girls it is 3 share room with attached bathroom. Quality of food is not good, in sports there is some options.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful and well as well qualified and knowledgeable. Quality of teaching depends on teacher to teacher. It is an professional doctor course. So you have to treat patients. Pass exam is very tough.60%-70 get promoted in the university exam.
Other: Dentistry is where you become doctor as well as you need to become artists.
