Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for the B.Tech at RTU?

A:

So, when it comes to your educational qualifications, completing your 12th grade is a must. You know, that stage where you finish up high school. In your 12th grade, you gotta have Physics and Mathematics in your curriculum, no escaping those! Along with those, you'llneed to pick one more subject among Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Computer Science. Its likes a trio dance and with subjects! Now, about the mark's, they do matter.

The minimum score you qouta aim for in your trio subjects, typically hovers around 45% if you're in the General category. But if you fall under reserved categories like SC-ST-OBC-SBC, it's a bit more relaxed, around (40%). So its like setting your bar for success. And then there's the big one  the entrance exam, the JEE Main. This is like the golden ticket for admission's to B.Tech programs at RTU (Rajasthan Technical University). Your score here is crucial. The higher percentile you notch up in JEE Main, the better your chances are of landing a seat in those coveted programs. It's like the key to unlocking your dream program at RTU!

Why choose RTU and what makes Rajasthan Technical University Kotak differ from others?
Placements: The percentage of students getting campus placement in my branch is very low, as you need a perfect GATE score to apply to a company. The highest package was 8.50 lacs, the lowest was 4 lacs, and the average was around 3.5 lacs. The top companies were Torrent Gas, Reliance, Cairn, Schlumberger, etc. 100 percent of the students got internship opportunity at companies like ONGC, DCM Shriram chemical, and power plants. The top roles offered was assistant engineering, production engineer in oil field, and drilling Engineer in oil field .
Infrastructure: Some of the main books were available in hard copy in the library and others, which were very costly, were available in digital format. The infrastructure is very good, with a separate department with a large size and all the necessary laboratory equipment. Hostel has all the facilities we need, including well-constructed rooms. The mess food is also good for having a balanced diet and offers you three meals with a tea break too. The food in the canteen and mess is very good and tasty. Medical facilities are also available in the college with the required medicine and first aid. Sports and games have dedicated areas, including a gym, badminton hall, volleyball court, table tennis hall, basketball court, tennis court, football ground and a cricket field.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified Ph.D. holders from IIT's. They are very knowledgeable; they are very helpful in guiding you for the future and clearing up all your doubts. The course curriculum is very relevant to all the competition exams, and the course curriculum is making the industry ready. Semester exams are tough but if you study hard and smartly, it is easier to score above 80% marks. The pass percentage is 95%.
Other: This course is something new and different from others branches this includes field job and tells about how the oil is extracted and generate inside the earth this is what I was eager to study and choose this course. Some more laboratory equipments and real experiments may improve learning more easy and understanding in this course. College have its own cultural fest and Technical fest are held every year. There are almost 2600+ students in the campus. Wi-Fi is available for free in the hostel and library, campus is surrounded by green environment with lush trees and plants. For extracurricular activities, there are various technical and non-technical clubs and there are around 23 clubs at present in our college.

Review of my college, Rajasthan Technical University Kotak.
Placements: I took admission in the electrical batch by filling out the reap form based on the JEE main marks. The electrical branch is a core branch, so it has many opportunities for jobs in both the private and government sectors. About 20–30 percent of the students in my batch got placed in campus placement programs; some students cracked the government exam for the J'En department; and the majority got placed in off-campus placement programs. There are too many chances to get placement in my college because the electrical faculty is very good and the teaching style is very ready to learn.
Infrastructure: My course duration is 4 years, which is classified into 8 semesters of 6 months each. On the college campus, all areas have Wi-Fi facilities. The library is open until 8 p.m., and all classrooms and labs are clean and well organized. A dispensary is always open for free for students with any medical need. The hostel facility is good, and the food quality is also good, like at home.
Faculty: All teaching faculty are highly educated, and their style of teaching is very easy and unique. Faculty help students improve their practical knowledge related to their branch and industries. The pass percentage is nearly 95–100. In your final year, you have to pay more attention than in other years because in your final year, you have to complete one project related to your industry as well.
Other: I want to share only one thing: my electrical branch has many scopes in all private and government sectors, and I enjoy my college life because my batch is very helpful and I am still connected with all my batchmates. Because of this college, I cracked the J.E.N. exam and am now working as a junior engineer. Thank You.

Life of a student at UD RTU Kotak.
Placements: Only specific branches secure placements. However, it is entirely up to the students to participate in placement; it does not depend on any particular teacher. Most of the time, you will need to seek off-campus placement opportunities, primarily in the fields of Computer Science and Information Technology. I wish you luck.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good in many ways. 385 acres of land are available but not fully utilized. Most of the campus features old buildings, and only a few are new. However, there are great laboratories for every trade. I loved the campus. There is a riverfront point, or as we say, a really exciting and great view.
Faculty: The faculty are nice to students, while some excel at an extreme level in teaching. The curriculum is typical of B.Tech engineering courses. Seniors are very helpful and exhibit good behavior. Exams are not pre-planned, and sometimes a six-month semester ends in 2 months.
Other: Limited number of events are organized.

I am not satisfied with the campus and placements of this college.
Placements: Placements are average. Around 8-10 students got placed in core branches. Almost 15-18 students got placed in the electrical branch. Almost 30 students got placed in this course out of 110 students. The maximum salary package offered was 8 LPA. The average salary package offered was 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college is very old. There are no basic amenities like Wi-Fi and a night canteen. Laboratories are very old, and machines do not work properly. Hostel rooms are spacious. Our college is situated 100 meters away from river Chambal.
Faculty: Teachers are well-experienced and knowledgeable. They also help students with research work. This university is affiliated with RTU. It is an autonomous college, so the exams are moderate. The evaluation of the exam papers is done by the faculty members of this college.
Other: Our campus provides good education. The placements are average. Students are not allowed to go outside after 9.00 PM from the hostel. Our campus is very restricted.

The campus life and the teaching quality are good.
Placements: In our college, approximately 60-70% of students are placed every year. The highest salary package offered is 6.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.25 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3.75 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Reliance, L&T, etc., visit our campus. Almost 80% of students get internships at the Kotak Thermal Power Plant, which is in Kotak, and some students get internships at the Hydroelectric Power Plant, which is in Rawatbhata.
Infrastructure: Our department has an old building, but it is good. Wi-Fi is not available, but there is internet via LAN. A library is available. Around 60,000-70,000 books are available in the library. Wi-Fi is available in the library. There are five boys' hostels in our college. The quality of the food is good. A canteen is available. Fast food, juices and different types of shakes are available in the canteen. Sports facilities like a cricket ground, a basketball court, a badminton court, a lawn tennis court, and a football ground are available in our college.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful to students, but not all of them. Almost all teachers are graduates of IITs and NITs. The teaching quality is good. The syllabus is not completely relevant. Our college provides internships to students to make them industry-ready. Semester exams are average. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: It was an excellent engineering college of the Rajasthan government, so I was admitted. Our college organises many events through the music club. Our college celebrates THAR, the techno-management fest, and ANUKRITI, the cultural fest.
