This university is absolutely worthy in terms of faculty, curriculum, sports, and infrastructure.
Placements: The placement cell in Ravenshaw University is amazing. Being a government college, the highest LPA they provide on campus is nearly 3-4 lakhs, and the fees are always less than that. The main placements are in self-finance courses, B.Com, B.A. Economics, and similar fields. The least amount in placement is 1.2 lakhs LPA.
Infrastructure: The course facilities are amazing for both UG and PG, as they provide a lot of honors in UG and many options for specialization in PG. The hostel facilities are also impressive compared to other government college hostels, and the food provided there is good. In total, there are 13 hostels—12 hostels inside the campus (6 for boys and the rest for girls) and one hostel outside the campus for boys.
Faculty: The faculty present here is really knowledgeable. Their commitment to making students learn is remarkable, which helps students to learn efficiently. The course curriculum is also good for the future of the students, as it prepares them for the industry due to its competitive environment. The semester exams are not that difficult if you study the course efficiently, and the passing percentage in every stream usually stays up to 75-80%.
Other: I would suggest this is one of the best colleges, where you can get great facilities. Moreover, campus life is amazing, and there are fests to enjoy during non-exam sessions. The campus is always active in extracurricular activities.

Need better faculty members and placements.
Placements: There were not any placement services provided by the college. Hence, there's no question of packages. No top recruiting companies. There weren't any internships provided by college or our course. Students don't get much exposure in this course, which hinders their abilities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good. Except the old buildings need some repair to be done. They have 2 libraries, which is really good. New hostels are in good condition. The quality of food is top-notch. There are huge fields for sports and games. Wi-Fi speed is low.
Faculty: During my period, there were just two permanent faculty members, which is sad. Curriculum needs to be improvised. Teachers aren't very helpful. They are qualified and knowledgeable but aren't friendly to students. Semester exams are easy. One can easily score marks. Pass percentage is 33%. .

Ravenshaw for you surely is a home away from home, specially for hostel life.
Placements: No placements are available in our course, if you want placement you should not opt for this course i.e. Bachelors in hist hons. B.Com and BBA have good placements in our college. Delloite also comes. Choose history only if you are ready to take the risk for your passion, it can be a good background for your UPSC or government job preparation, but I don't think that reason alone can be enough.
Infrastructure: The college campus feels like home, there are 2 libraries and classrooms that have digital boards and each depth has CCTV. Hostel rooms are mostly on a sharing basis of 5 or 6, which can get tiring with time. And mess food is very poor. But the hostel is very affordable.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, yes it is relevant. Semester exams in our college are moderate to hard. Faculty can be strict with attendance as they deduct marks from our internal and call our parents if we have low attendance. This course doesn't make you industry-ready. The pass percentage in my course is almost 95%, it is easy to pass this course if you study sincerely.
Other: I choose this course only because of my passion. I wish placements and practical training were involved in our cost. There are a lot of funds held in our college.

    The dream university- Ravenshaw.
Placements: Ravenshaw University provides placement facilities for chemistry, commerce, and IT and some other departments. The students who scored above 80% are eligible for placement. The package amount ranges from 3 to 10 lacs per annum. Companies like Mahindra, Tata, and ICICI Bank come for recruitment.
Infrastructure: Ravenshaw's overall infrastructure is very good compared to other colleges and universities I have ever seen, having a Kanika library, a big play ground, a canteen, and Wi-Fi facilities everywhere. There are 7 boys hostels and 5 girls hostels; each hostel has its own mess .
Faculty: Every professor and assistant professor have completed their studies at well-known institutes like JNU and BHU. They have a very interesting way of teaching so that you can understand every point of the topic. Semester questions come from outside, and the passing mark is 33%.
Other: I had an interest in geography from the beginning. And the subject is also so interesting from my point of view. About 8000 students study in Ravenshaw, and we provide all types of opportunities to students that help in all-round development.

Availability of scope for every field and path.
Placements: The course that I am pursuing is a B.A. in history. After graduation from this course, students mainly pursue an M.A. in the same subject for certain professional jobs like historians, archeologists, and achievement-specific jobs. Many, including myself, want to prepare themselves for civil examinations. It is not a professional course and students who pursue this course usually want to gain knowledge of history for further examinations.
Infrastructure: Ravenshaw University is considered one of the best colleges in Odisha. It has each and every facility needed by a student. It has several lecture halls large enough to conduct classes regularly and several activities. The classrooms are equipped with smartboards and fast, reliable wi-fi for seamless study. The students are also allowed to use the devices for their studies. Every department has a separate library that contains resources related to that department. Besides that, Ravenshaw has one of the best libraries, which is the Kanika Library. It is divided into two parts. One is equipped with written sources, while the other is equipped with computers and wi-fi. Near it, there is an e-resource building that contains all the study materials stored on computers for study. The hostel facilities are good and are regularly checked by the hostel warden and his management team. The management team consists of their own hostel students. There is a student representative in every hostel. All hostels have their own cleaners, gaurds and officials. There is a dispensary on campus for medical needs. The campus has a big sports field that houses every game and is large enough to carry out tournaments and championships easily. There is a selection process conducted every year to select the university team for every game and sport. I gave it 5 stars because of the best library in Odisha and the support provided by the university in games and sports.
Faculty: The faculty in Ravenshaw contains some highly qualified professors. They are highly qualified and have great teaching skills. They disseminate knowledge about necessary topics that are outside the syllabus. They teach in a sequential manner and try to involve every student in the discussion. Several field trips have been organised for practical knowledge about history. This course covers all the necessary syllabus and makes the students ready for civil examinations. Semester exams are easy because of the good professors and supportive seniors. The pass percentage is 40. There are few chances of failing exams.
Other: I chose this course as it would help me in my preparations for civil examinations. History is a necessary subject for these types of examinations. My course was not a practical subject but still, several study trips and field trips are conducted, like temple visits and archeological site visits for a better understanding of our subject. Ravenshaw University is famous for its celebration of all festivals and grand organisation of events, which are supported by all the students of the university. All the hostels organize events from time to time for the entertainment of students. The students who are in need are supported by several scholarship programs. The campus is neat and clean due to the efforts of cleaners and it is safe because of the team of guards who actively guard the campus 24/7. I personally love this college because of the positive vibes it creates, all the responsible students and the availability of scope for all types of passions and paths.

    Ravenshaw: A heritage of learning.
Placements: Nearly 80 percent of people from our university got placements in EY Global and other companies like TATA. But as we have a government college, the on-site placements are not that prominent. We were required to prepare a CV to get enrolled in those companies but still, placement opportunities are limited.
Infrastructure: Our departments are very well built and especially they have high technological tools and machines. We have specialised E-Resource centres and labs to attend those specialised tasks. The food provided by our hostel is quite good and we too have many courts for sports activities.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly and knowledgeable, as they were graduated from top universities. Their teaching quality is very understanding and proficient. The semester exams are quite difficult and done very strictly, though after taking regular classes, one should not face any difficulty.
Other: The department is one of a kind and the course is both technical and theoretical. Being one of the most famous universities in Odisha, Ravenshaw attracts a large amount of students from different parts of Odisha. The campus life is quite fun with lots of events and everything.
