It is one of the best medical colleges in Karnataka, MIMS, Mandya.
Placements: MIMS is a government institution for medical students. It has 4 years of education and one year of internship in the same government hospital with a monthly salary. After that, students usually take another NEET PG exam to choose their post-graduation courses.
Infrastructure: The main college campus is one single building with 6 floors, including the basement, with a terrace above the 4th floor. It has the first herbal and terrace garden in Karnataka. All the classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and mics. The hostel is average, each room accommodates 3 people with a separate cot and table, a wardrobe, and an attached bathroom. Mess food is good, the menu doesn't change much. Extracurricular activities are well supported.
Faculty: The teachers are all doctors who are master's degree or basic MBBS degree holders. The teaching quality is good. The curriculum is very apt for a medical student. There is a lot of patient interaction in the hospital and case-taking, which makes us ready to be doctors. Each year there are 4 exams, three of which are internals and the last is the final exam. The pass percentage is 50% for all exams.
Other: MBBS is a course that is great for all science lovers. The best thing is to become a doctor and help people. The college holds many events like the annual sports meet, pre-graduation and graduation day, cultural fest, and Kannada Rajyotsava events.

Review of Karnataka Institute of Medical Science, Hubli.
Placements: 200 students get admitted every year, but out of them, so get backed off. About 98% of people graduate and become doctors, but only a few get PG seats on the first attempt of NEET PG. We have to do a compulsory one-year internship at our hospital, and we get a stipend as fixed by the government.
Infrastructure: There are no Wi-Fi facilities in the hostels, and network coverage in the hospital and college premises is low. Hostels and food are average, and there is a canteen where we get only South Indian dishes. Our hospital is quite old but very affordable for the poor with required medical equipment for good treatment.
Faculty: Some teachers are friendly and teach awesomely, but some teach for job's sake. They use PPT for classes, but when it comes to practical and clinical postings, we have got ample resources. Teachers in clinical settings teach a lot of things that are necessary to be a good clinician.
Other: I chose this course and college because it is one of the reputed colleges of Karnataka, and also here we have a very beautiful campus. We students enjoy fests and sports held in our college.

It's not a satisfactory college to be in from the food to the fest; everything is below average.
Placements: After passing your final year, you need to qualify as a doctor, for which you have to complete a mandatory 12-month internship. After getting the degree, most doctors start preparing for the NEET PG exam, which will now be called the Next exam, with a few major changes totally changing the dynamics of problems and solutions.
Infrastructure: It's not so bad, but compared to urban colleges such as B.M.C. or M.M.C., it's *** and not worth your time at all. The library is easily accessible to everyone. It's open until 10 pm, and lecture halls remain open during exam time. Sports are not a good and strong point about HIMS; it's a lost case; maybe the government needs some more money. Hostel food is not a good option at all. We usually eat out twice a week to satisfy the taste buds.
Faculty: Finding it easy and simple would be a mistake of yours. It's full of crazy obstacles that you may face as you move forward in the range. The faculty is well-skilled and qualified. Exams are done in a timely manner. Regularly, we are questioned about our personal and professional life. Exams are easy-going, and anyone who can get admission to a medical college should be capable of passing it with ease.
Other: The fest in my college occurs during the month of August or September. It's not so bad, but compared to urban colleges such as B.M.C. or M.M.C., it's *** and not worth your time at all. Choosing MBBS would be a dream for anyone, and to achieve it by yourself is an achievement.

Excellent for study purpose and becoming a great doctor.
Placements: I am in an MBBS college. We generally don't look for placements because after our UG degree, most of us start preparing for PG entrance exams. Only a small minority of people drop out after MBBS and start their own clinic. The college offers multiple specializations in multiple fields. Overall, we doctors don't worry about placement. Once you are in MBBS, you will never sit idle for the rest of your life.
Infrastructure: The academic and hospital sections are too good. We have two large libraries with hundreds of journals in the medical field, with AC and Wi-Fi. Hostels are also well-maintained. The hospital is fully digitalized. In fact, the hospital is next-level. The college is quite big with a big ground where all the events like sports and fests occur. We have the Muller Convention Centre with a capacity of 2000 for big programs to be conducted. In short, you won't complain about the college or hospital infrastructure. Cons: Well, the hostel food is not that great. The number of toilets in the college is less, which I felt. If the college faculty are reading this, kindly work on it.
Faculty: For academic purposes, this college is the best in the city, in fact, in the whole vicinity. Exams are a bit challenging, but it's for the students' benefit only. The teachers over here are the best with great experience. I personally liked the faculty. Teaching-wise also, the college and hospital have a head start among the other colleges. Academically, no college beats Father Muller's. Just a problem that I faced was the language barrier, but that too goes away after some time. The number of OPD and bed capacity this hospital has is massive, around 2000+ beds, so lots and lots of opportunities to learn.
Other: Extracurricular activities are there but not as much as in an engineering college or BBA college. Campus life is average.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and environment friendly campus .
Placements: Nice college and the best environmentally friendly campus and the best professors for teaching. The placements are also available in the same college where you study; you can work in their hospital only. For example, if we complete our internship later on based on our MBBS degree, we can work in the teaching department for our experience.
Infrastructure: The hostel stay is very good. Each room is shared by 2 persons. There are also normal non-AC hostels and 2 AC hostels for UG candidates, and there is an AC hostel facility for all PG students. The UG students from 1st year stay in the hostel, which is outside of campus.
Faculty: The faculty is very good at teaching, and they are friendly with the students. The exams will be conducted weekly and monthly for all year students. And once in 3 months the internals will be conducted for the student, and they call and inform the parents about their child's academics.

Extremely outdated and irrational rules, good infrastructure and average faculty.
Placements: It is a reputable college and they have a hospital of their own which pays comparatively well (75,000/month for tutors after MBBS), but stipends for further education are either very less or non-existent. Many pursue exams like USMLE and exams abroad.
Infrastructure: We do have AC classrooms and a very well-equipped VASA simulation laboratory. The library also has central AC and most books are there along with tables which have a Prepladder subscription. There is a self-study room too. The hostel, on the other hand, is the worst. Rules are extreme and the infrastructure is very bad. Food is quite poor and many students fall sick from it.
Faculty: Faculty is pretty okay. Some are good, a lot of them just read out PPT. Mostly have to study by ourselves. Exams are sometimes purposely made hard in an attempt to make us study harder. The 1st year of MBBS, 50 people failed in the 1st attempt at finals.
Other: The rules are extreme, security is crazy. Dress code has uniform and a clean-shaven face for boys and strict adherence. They threaten with suspension for everything. You will not be treated respectfully. Till now only 2 fests have happened in the college’s history and both were namesake. So if you only want to study, don’t ever want a social life, then join.
